It's basically an alternative to a blind, rather than protecting against damage, hence being on the inside. You can have privacy and natural light by shutting the bottom, variable amount of light etc etc. Handy in old terraces where your front window might be literally on the street

it's operated only by up/down. Imagine letting them down they are fully closed. Then incrementaly deping on how long you do 'up' they open until fully horizontal. keep going up will lift the cover.

it's not uncommon here to buy a dedicated insurance for a house sale. as long as the seller is truthful when buying the insurance and selling the house the insurance company gets all responsibility for any hidden problems for a reasonable time period. the seller knows the deal is done and the buyer knows they have a professional safety net

There are different types. Generally if your roof collapses, you're going to go to homeowners first and let them work it out. There's deed insurance that guarantees there are no existing lines, and if there are, they cover it

Not sure what a good update strategy is. Most recent update killed my Schlage lock integration. Hi i am facing issues with my Govee lightstrips that they automatically turn off after exactly 10minutes seems like standby or something but i DIDNT made any timer or else for these lightstrips cause i just bought them and plugged them straight in

Is there any known issue with Govee lightstrips? Is there straight at the beginning a timer set up?

im using mosquito broker and then the mqtt bridge for govee lightstrips cause the intregration wouldnt work on my side ( maybe someone also know why this isnt working )

Integration likely doesn't work because those strips don't support LAN mode.

As for the timing the MQTT route is slower and uses their Cloud API, which I've found is stupidly unresponsive sometimes. It'll also queue up commands.
