Actually, you can literally drop them high-tier guns and they will use them until they run out of ammo. It might be a little pricey, though, but having a full squad with PKMs and SVDs is quite effective

Each 30-seconds clip takes 36 MB of space, and currently my folder with all ShadowPlay recordings takes only 12 GB. This weapon is actually pretty useless in the entire game, and you have to be very specific with your targets because killing a single random NPC with a rare PG-7V shot feels like a waste. It's also heavy as hell, so you can't take it for every raid
