[ Welcome to the official SCP: Secret Laboratory Discord server! ]

  • To make things easier for all of us, please familiarize yourself with these rules.

1. Drama, toxicity, and targeting specific beliefs or fandoms is prohibited. This extends to all forms of arguments as well.

2. Racism, slurs, and any discriminatory content is prohibited.

  • This includes using spoilers on words to make them appear as slurs.

3. Advertising servers or services in any chats or direct messages is prohibited.

4. Spamming, posting content that induces seizures, and videos that have a seemingly infinite length are prohibited.

  • Loud videos are only allowed if spoilers have been applied along with a message warning.

5. Evading mutes and punishments by alting will result in a ban on all accounts.

6. Mentioning any member or role without a reason and ghost pinging are prohibited. Mentioning Studio Directors that aren't active in a channel will result in a warning.

  • Patreon Supporters and Twitch Subscribers are allowed to ping @low helm as long as it's reasonable or replying back.

7. Sharing any form of NSFW material (cropped or full pornography, drawings or photos with suggestive poses, fetishes, gore, NSFW descriptions, etc.) is prohibited.

8. Usernames may have non-standard characters, but if you have a non-typeable username, you must have a typeable nickname.

  • Impersonation of studio staff members is prohibited.

9. Encouraging illegal acts such as cheating, doxxing, hacking, and piracy is prohibited.

10. Role-playing is prohibited.

11. Political and religious discussion is prohibited.

12. This server's language of communication is English. If you attempt to have conversations in other languages, you will be asked to stop.

13. The Discord staff team has the final say in all circumstances.

  • If a user is deemed detrimental to the server, the Discord staff team can still take action even if it’s not listed in the rules. Remember to use common sense!

[ Types of penalties ]

Warning Points

  • Discord staff will issue verbal warnings before an official warning, in most circumstances.
  • You will receive one or more warnings if you fail to listen to the staff member's verbal warning, or if you are breaking multiple rules.

Warning Timer

  • Your first warning will expire in four weeks, the second warning will expire in eight weeks, and your third warning will not expire (See Mute Status below).

Server Kick

  • @cobalt compass will automatically kick you from the server if you receive two warnings.

Mute Status

  • @cobalt compass will automatically mute you if you receive three warnings. If this occurs, you will be given instructions on how to appeal the mute within #❗︱mute-appeal-info.
  • If your first mute appeal has passed and have gained another mute, then you must wait six months until you are allowed to send your second appeal.
  • You may temporarily be muted by a Discord staff member for a variety of reasons. This will expire on its own and does not need to be appealed.
  • If you acquire another mute after your second appeal, you will be permanently muted.

Server Ban

  • This punishment is typically a final, drastic measure used in serious offences.
  • If you believe that your Discord ban was applied falsely, you may send an appeal here.
