Late but in my experience, you want a fire anim to reach full "kick" very quickly, only a handful of frames. And if it peaks at say, frame 3, have frame 2 be way closer to frame 3 than frame 1, if that makes sense. Difficult to demonstrate without a graph editor, lmao
