implementing serpents hand makes sense actually, serpents hand is a canon goi that actively infiltrates and raids foundation sites and has stolen scps before. they would be most interested in anomalies that represent sapience knowledge or freedom like scp 079 and scp 049, and since the game already has scps d class mtf facility guard and chaos insurgency its completely plausible for serpents hand to be interested in freeing scps altogether (since they are all one team anyways).

and as a bonus mechanic, serpent’s hand could have a rare ability to convert d class into their ranks by using anomalous or thaumaturgic conversion to reflect their lore-based embrace of anomalies and freedom. they start small but increase.

It's possible they might have interest, but SH members typically goes after humans with anomalous properties more often than full anomalies. Their goals are personalised and uncoordinated, so to go after Site-02 under its current state is... strange

holistically all i am saying is that there could be more added variation. maybe server session is only 2 sets of teams (eg mtf + chaos) and another would be sh and mtf or something. or maybe all 3. creates more depth instead of repeating rounds and memorization which is extremely similar to counterstrike

Out of the story, I don't see SH holding any reasonable weight within the game's overall story, especially with the background plot.
Within the story, there's far more easier fish to catch, if they even know if Site-02 exists. It certainly took a long time for the Chaos Insurgency to piece things together after all

basically before every round you get to vote 2 wildcards (out of 4 options), each wildcard gives a specific effect to the round, some examples are:

  • Tactical Realism: removes HUD
  • Shotguns Only: you get a Super 90 primary and M870 secondary, each with 25 shots all already loaded in the gun (no reloading), both attackers and defenders
  • No Weapons: you don't get a primary nor a secondary: only knives and gadgets
  • Grenade Cooking: Everyone gets the same weapon and Frag Grenades (both attackers and defenders), and you can cook grenades
  • Fog of War: everybody is constantly under the effect of Fenrir's F-Natt Dread Mine
  • Secondaries Only: you don't get a primary weapon, just secondaries, so pick someone with a good secondary
  • All Reinforced: All doors are barricaded (including inside) from the start and all soft walls are reinforced
  • All Destroyed: every soft surface (Walls AND FLOORS) is already destroyed
  • No Bomb Site: The defuser can be planted anywhere in the building, the location of the defuser is automatically revealed on plant
  • ACOGs Only: Every attacker gets R4-C ACOG, every defender gets 416-C Carbine ACOG, Everyone gets SMG-11 ACOG
  • Chicken: Big ass chicken covering like half your screen
