spoilers but you know when you ||kill benny or whatever|| and the legion pardons you and gives you the mark of caesar? you can do every legion relevant sidequest before that with all the worst outcomes for the legion, and caesar will give you the opportunity to confess all of those actions, with unique dialog for each one

he wont aggro you and youll still be able to side with the legion endgame but ONLY if you actually confessed ALL crimes against the legion, otherwise he aggros you the next time you speak to him and obviously that locks you out of the quest
