I love solder free. Although my soldering skills have finally become functional.
Thank you for taking time for us.
Thanks @haughty quiver !
Thanks @haughty quiver as always
Thanks @haughty quiver

Thanks JP! Great show!
woo hoo thanks all!
Thank you @haughty quiver
Bought 3 as well, with cables and buttons.
interesting one this week JP
You're welcome and thanks.
that is an awesome button
I found a solution to people scheduling meetings during this time. I put a recurring meeting called JPPPOW in my cal. Then I said in comment "can be schedule over if NECESSARY". Problem solved. I'm the CTO. I can make rules like that!
more logic: let me watch the show for 50% discount for my electronics addiction, then I won't ask for as many raises
I love things (like huge/funny buttons) that no one can come up with a concrete reason to buy yet they're just so cool
the Arcade Synth Controller is written in Arduino (due to Audio Library) but uses button mask https://learn.adafruit.com/arcade-synth-controller/code-the-arcade-synth
Thank you!
If you're in the Southern California area and are looking to physically inspect some big buttons, I recommend All Electronics. They have only part of what they sell on their website and is a lot of fun to hunt around in. Here's an example: https://www.allelectronics.com/category/716300/switches-pushbutton/lighted-pushbutton-switches/1.html
@cinder wind you wouldn't happen to know of an example of reading the button mask in CircuitPython would you?

lol thanks
is this what the kids call a "thirst trap"?
Speaking of electroncs addiction, CTOs, and work, I have been cooking up a plan. I have long had a vision of bringing accessible technology to people who wouldn't have access. Maybe lower income or other cultures. In my work I do the same and try to provide opportunities all over the world for capable people hidden from us all. I have acquired more Adafruit toys than I can possibly build in a year (or 10). All along I knew only 10% was for my experiments and inventions and the rest were to share with other people who are over the moon with the chance to participate in a collaborative hackathon. I have not spoken about this much because it there is much planning left to do. I'd like to involve my employer to participate but am also prepared to fund it myself or with a few like minded people. My employer has agree to certain proposals I've made such as an Adafruit-themed mcu/rpi to have a friendly competition to build the coolest or most novel thing. We did something like this at Jibo in house at our Boston and California offices and it was a hoot. Maybe th genesis of the joke "what do you get when you give a couple dozen PhDs free reign and some toys to play with?" Short version: Wicked cool stuff. Now kick it down to students or beginning technologists. TL;DR I need some help organizing something cool with Adafruit-oriented tech. I've got a ton of stuff and a channel to get more from our friends at Adafruit. We are paying for this to help Adafruit thrive and giving the stuff to people with a thirst to play, think, and create. If you read this novel to rival War and Peace and you think "that crazy dude may be on something, err, I mean on to something..." then hmu. my work email is rich the at sign thingy waverleysoftware dot com. Ideas, volunteers, other sources of supplies welcome

Hey 3d Pros, I've just mashed together a drone seed dropper and a spinning ridged plate for a hand-fan to distribute seed in my garden, but I am having problems with my power bank not coming back on (fine if USB replugged or power button pressed to wake powerbank).
If I used two relays (one for VCC/GND and one for D+/-) to hot-plug the usb line, would that be likely to work?

I was just at PyCascades and Gina, the maintainer of Octoprint was there, too. Darn
I had a pi with Octoprint once that got seriously borked when I did an โapt upgradeโ on it, and I ended up having to reinstall it. I donโt remember what specifically got borked, though.
I have run Octoprint on a Pi 3A, 3B+, 4B+ and now a 02W and never had any issues.
I love watching the factory footage so much!
lotta feathers
I lost an SD card to Octoprint, but not a whole Pi.
macropads
the solder bot just gets me always
through hole soldering machine? cool, never seen one before
Question inspired by the factory footage: What controls where selective solder machines selectively solder? In other words, when youโre doing a whole board why donโt they create solder bridges all over the place?
love their test jigs
it was a clear and sunny day today
@dim wigeon There's a coating on the boards that the solder doesn't stick to.
@dim wigeon answering out of turn, but I think the soldermask (green layer) repels the solder, so bridges don't (usually) form ..
I suspect being upside down helps because unlike when soldering on the top there's no way for the solder to pool
I'm both a young folk and an animal!
i'm a usb
I find when you solder through hole with boards that are through plated solder just flows down the pin and does not bridge
@robust horizon @delicate fractal That makes sense. Thanks! Iโm imagining the surface tension of the solder helps too.
I'm sad to say until now I never really thought what "solder mask" meant when ordering PCBs
that foot switch looks fun to use
I watched a few of those extensive tours on YouTube of pcb fabs in china, real cool seeing all the steps.
it's a toe-tappin' good time
Totally! I'm been trying to figure out what I "need" it for so that I have an excuse.
How did they print that ship without supports

Small enough overhangs aren't a problem anyhow.

@ionic garnet I bought an inexpensive 4 foot folding table on Amazon.
I'm a big fan of the Husky height adjustable workbenches from Home Depot -- they use a hand-crank to raise/lower them, and they're a nice solid workspace.
As for shelving, go to your local bulk store (Sams, Costco) and check out wire metal shelving that can be set up alongside or behind the bench.

@rapid hornet Have you and yours picked out a name yet ?
We've got a lead contender but haven't committed fully to it
Won't make the Dive today or maybe at the end, but if you have some time for it, would be great to hear more about the broadband advocacy (? - my word) work you've been doing.
I'll watch later for sure
@left pier ok, I'll try and give an update

I now want a bunch of your new S3 boards
Hi, everyone! Still โat workโ so possibly multitasking but I made it - yay!

I'm currently (as I type) PnPing more ProS3 and FeatherS3 boards to restock.
@turbid hill Could be much worse, but still not fun. Feel better soon!
Cool I really liked the S2 board I got
What I find cool is how you manage to pack so much into such a tiny area
Iโm idly curious what the physically smallest (and largest) CircuitPython boards are now.
I combined the FeatherS2 and the 3.5" TFT Featherwing to make a pseudopyportal.
Qt is gonna be smallest I would think
@green bison Thatโs what I was thinking. I think itโd be hard to make a board smallerโฆthe size of the MCU, RAM, and connectors would seem to impose a lower limit.
Agreed
Excited for you
Hi Scott. I started my new job today. It's going to be fun.
Is the volume softer than usual for anyone?
Smallest general-purpose board, anyways. There's a bit of competition if you include some specialized one-trick boards like trinkeys.
Yeah it's a bit quiet.
I turned my volume up ๐
seems fine to me
Sounds fine on my end.
finally got above 40ยฐF today

Definitely louder now
Qt is smallest, but also has less features. TinyS3 is the smallest 'fully featured" board ๐ But I'm biased ๐

Hello everyone
honestly, adafruit.com/discord would be enough (but it doesn't work ๐ )
This is not a ESP32 question but about your work with Raspberry pi zero w2
I installed the CP 7.1.1 on a Raspberry Pi Z W2, using multiple SD Cards an hooked to Multiple USB host controllers (My MB has 4 Host controllers to choose from), I encountered 3 problems. When the CIRCUITPY drive is being created it's taking a long time and fails a lot. Lots of USB Disconnects and this results in lots read/write errors. changed cables and Raspberry Pi's. When you were working on this did you encounter the same issues.
Whose doing time time stamps โฆ thank you !
I will switch to the newest
the ESP-IDF was updated, that's a good reason to call it alpha ๐
I'm so used to using the newest version it didn't occur to me to go back to the stable version when I2C didn't work on the S2.
Gotta live on the bleeeeeding edge
When is the IDF ever not updated? ๐
The problem with living on the bleeding edge is that bloodstains are hard to clean out of the carpet.
I saw a something in there @rapid hornet ! I didn't think it make it there in time... w00p!
Safety - No one works then no one gets hurt
I just love the pin cards that come with them

I think adafruit should make a card book with all the cards needed for all the contollers
@turbid hill Iโd think itโd be challenging to keep that up to date.

no worries !
@rapid hornet Oh, you did the BLE bridge with AIOBLE? Or similar? All Asyncio?
same problem I have my boards keep flipping over
Iโm forever knocking things off the side of my desk onto the floor.
hah I knocked a whole bin of sensors from my desk all over the floor and spent 30mins collecting them all up and still managed to miss 3
Sorry, I was at the PnP - so the background BLE scans are non blocking so CPy user code is not interrupted? That's all I care about!

Heart beat / watchdog indicators are always a good idea for (almost) every project. Iโm a fan of tacking a piezo under the MPU board, too.
Oh, sure, I'd also expected it to be USB powered. I was just curious ๐
I was with you right up until you said "Hi, I'm Scott..."
@rapid hornet thanks for the detail on that example. Nice to see it through your eyes.
I figured I had some new things to learn ๐
I download the two files from S3 the uf2 and bin, I need to write the bin first to the esp32-s3 then it should boot with a bootloader directory where I drop the uf2 file in. Is that correct?
I'm still looking for where to learn more - what are some other python search words? ( traits? )
cool!
ok I have never seen a purple light yet, I have used the reset then boot then release reset then release boot to get it into upload mode, I have been using the usb-uart connector, do I want to switch to the usb port like how your connected
thanks - searching for complex characteristics - getting number stuff ๐
ok
finally organized all my after ski stuff. takes me too long to put everything on the drying rack
eventually ~~google ~~the search engines will learn what you are up to
i am a google search pro lol
I have all the s3 from espressef but not unexpected maker boards yet
one of the easiest "dunder" magic Python methods I've learned from is the special ones for lists. A lot of CircuitPython libraries act like lists, so there's example code. e.g. https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_CircuitPython_Pypixelbuf/blob/main/adafruit_pypixelbuf.py where you see __len__(), __getitem__(), and __setitem()__ so you can do things like pixels[0] = pixels[1]
that is impressive
People are crazy awesome. That's so neat
yes amazing stuff
Wow, that's really amazing. Especially when you cant buy USB-Host IC's atm.
That would help in creating a routine to load midi configs using system exclusive msgs (F type.
could that be used as a USB diagnostic tool? ( pass through monitoring ? )
I've worked with properties before in C# is a complex characteristic sort of the super set of what a property is?
looking forward to next week then! ๐
Perfect topic Iโve been experimenting with the EZ Dock but I canโt make the switch.
makes my brain buzz
looking at the stock apple keyboard hurts my hands ๐
Its too thick... and I don't really touch type
you may want a wrist rest?
the wrist support is back in the box already...
so a small (thin) keyboard where I can float my hands is working ..
OOO that looks cool though!
Something will be done sooner if someone submits a PR for it...
yes TinyUSB has USB Host support for HID (keyboard, mouse) and there's a PR for MIDI, but that's it for now I think
oh yes and CDC! I did not see that, nice
that is some serious advanced layers
interesting how long did it take you to make the switch?
I think @ornate coyote needs to make a tiny-S3 based keyboard design ...
or maybe a XXXXS3 that's a drop in replacement for the ProMicro? "Watch this pace"... ๐
I was totally thinking that too... I'm getting into this recently as I'm having "tennis elbow" recently

It needs marketing to get the word out ...
As a WA resident I really need to get more involved in this. My internet upload speed is sadddd

@smoky island Will there be notes to curate for your show too ?
thanks for the lovely stream! Have a great weekend!
The repo side is automated... but someone's gotta take notes.
(I should say, I think I fixed all the bugs in the automation)
and it is reusable for any playlist of shows
It hasn't been discussed yet. I would be happy for someone to continue to take notes. But no plans in place as of yet
My day job means I frequently watch later \ can't be there live, but I'm happy to help with the automation \ back-end stuff.
I rigged up a timestamper for the meeting this week. I may try to start doing them and see if anyone takes over, can't promise that I will remember to do it reliably when switching topics though.
Thank you!
@left pier @timid plover @balmy tinsel https://twitter.com/UpgradeKC
Another approach I've not looked into too much yet is pulling the transcript log. But that requires using a channel owner's API key, because the transcript is not in the public data. Just means I can't test it on an Adafruit feed, I'd have to test it on my own content (which there is none of) and then hand it back over to you all.
Thanks for sharing! I'm a little north of Seattle / King County I wonder if I can get something going in my local county. It's something we really need in my area.
Yeah....
I believe you will be a Legendary Dad @rapid hornet . Hate the way it stretched my face but over my right shoulder (actually left but you know, mirrors) you can see my framed copy of Jibo on the cover of Time Mag. What you can't see are the the QT Py ESP32-S2 and ESP32-S2 with TFT feather participating in a Valentine's gift for my sweetie.
Congrats on upcoming fatherhood. I am very happy for you and your partner.
Thank you!
I've seen you with your cats and there's a correlation between how you are with animals and how you'll be as a parent
I always use the latest build ever since I bought a new product early and it wasn't supported by latest stable. I think it was the neoslider. I also have started keeping all active boards engaged in dev work upgraded to the latest daily (after backing up the contents).
๐
of never mind me, I deleted my ranting question.I talked myself into a solution. This project is really cool so I hope to publish it when I clean it up. It's a "couple's communication tool" with a couple of creative twists built out of Adafruit products.

yep - @rapid hornet posts the link to the google docs page about 15 minutes to the stream - anyone can contribute
I mostly copy the questions from discord and youtube with a timestamp when Scott starts to answer.
Try to catch changes in topics and important links
the future volunteer might be able to watch the youtube stream and create the timestamps after the fact, maybe could even do it while watching at higher speed playback
the benefit of watching live is easier to ask clarifying questions that might be glossed over - though sometimes those questions could come here to discord, right?
i think deep dive seems to get a few questions from linkedin - I have no idea about that and other re broadcast streams the deep dive takes!
did the update of the firmware overwrite code.py ?
I was away for a bit - but does this code run on the 'desktop' also - for debugging -
it was the first link I found ๐
here's a github link that might be related ?
https://github.com/micropython/micropython/pull/6972
maybe it's not turned on in CP
https://github.com/adafruit/circuitpython/issues/1789
says uzlib is not turned on for any CircuitPython ports. It might be nice to have if it's not too big. It should be moved to shared-bindings and shared-module.
The docs indicate zlib support: https://circuitpython.readthedocs.io/en/latest/docs/library/uzlib.html However, it doesn't look like it's implemented for the nRF52840. I tried the F...
there might be a header to tell the server not to zip the response with Accept-Encoding or something
https://github.com/adafruit/circuitpython/pull/1274
following links
can you save the bytes to a file, and then use the unix tool "file" to identify the format ( verify the one byte )
maybe fetch the same bytes in the browser ?
> curl -O https://analytics.usa.gov/data/live/realtime.json
> file realtime.json
realtime.json: gzip compressed data, from Unix, original size modulo 2^32 375
also verify with "hexdump -C realtime.json | head -2 "
curl gets the original file, rename it .gz and gunzip
zip and Gzip are two different encodings, I think. In linux when you use tar to unwind them, you use two different switches.
mv realtime.json realtime.json.gz
gunzip realtime.json.gz
reproduced on cygwin - thanks @upper sandal
$ zcat realtime.json | head

"max-results": 10000

"meta": {
twitch question: OmiKoRn: How are you making the http request?
I like @upper sandal 's earlier suggestion to ask the web/json server to give you text
I'm looking into seeing if the server responds to accept-encoding or anything
deflate is another compression
apparently the way would be to have ONLY "accept-encoding: identity" but that doesn't get me unzipped in curl
which would be a bigger step a) rebuild CP, or b) install micropython ( assuming that it could unzip the bytes ) ?
so it sounds like it would be worth continuing to try to fetch text from the server
it looks like the server does not have the option for not zipping ๐คท
rebuilding CP with gzip would be a great deep dive ๐
unless there is an alternative ( or a pure python solution for unzip )
In linux it uses a magic number to figure out what kind of file. I think browsers. do something simular.
was that compession or uncompression ?
I think the directory structures were refactored
another thought - the feather has the power of the internet available - maybe you can ship the compressed bytes somewhere else and uncompress them to text ?
Try specifing the encoding as UTF8
I'm joining in late... are you just looking at having unzip type functionality available on CP?
just thinking of ways to achive todays goals ๐
the thing is https://analytics.usa.gov/data/live/realtime.json always returns gzipped data it seems
so many things to learn - all this unscheduled learning ๐
I'm not sure of an easy way to merge the old PR into the latest head. Glancing at the code it looks like it wouldn't conflict with much that trouble
the .mk or .h I think both have it
Trying to but my esp sub modules are updating
are you cloned or forked?
or can you try building for a different board, the tft is one of the newest
I haven't build CP in a while - but what branch does the git automation build ?
Switched to twitch for less latency in seeing what you're doing ๐
twitch always seems to have less latency
just noticed that micropython had a whole uzlib thing in the extmod folder (guessing unused?)
the original code chooses between gzip and bzip based on the magic bit, I just copied the gzip line
side note: I was able to build the tft feather on my fork (which is on latest)
maybe I'll look into forking the pyflate repo into a library for the bundle (its license is BSD compatible) then again, it was the first google result for "pure python gzip" there might be other options ๐
CP already includes the uzlib library so if it is in the core I would assume that would be the one to use
is there a zlib library or module in the core
C python requests does unzip automagically
In the interim, keep as external lib and change requests to detect gzip encoding and throw a meaningful error.
If the code is semi-done in the core and just not in shared-bindings/module (vs extmod) probably not a ton of work to enable it
If it is worth it I can take a look at it
II think that read into handles buffers
did the .read () consume the 2 bytes ?
can you put them back ?
why did the bot think i was spamming
I was trying to say that the content fetched with curl was similar
Capture the header bytes before json.load ?
I can't paste 2 lines like before
hexdump -C realtime.json| head -1
00000000 1f 8b 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 45 50 41 6e 83 40
seems like the job for a 'peek' function
I think that's a good question to return to ( what does cpython do ? )
I guess you could just re-fetch / read it again ๐
trade off instead of consuming more RAM
curl https://httpbin.org/get
shows the first bytes
{
"args": {},
Thanks for the stream.
nice to meet you all ๐
Thanks for hanging out folks. Hope everyone has a great day and weekend!
That is what we do in Cpython
You cannot read read the request twice
In Cpython the request results comes from a socket input
Watching deep dive after the fact, and found out about the pure CP version of BLE to Adafruit IO bridge with an S3 rather than a Raspberry Pi. The sad thing is that it was likely possible to do it with an NRF feather and an airlift featherwing. I tested the Pi version when it was out, and it was a pain to install and keep up.
airlift is just as much of a pain imo

Sorry I missed you Limor and Phil. Blame football and soldering my Valentine's gift
If you're still here Limor I want to tell you a cool use for the Pink Feather RP2040. I used it to drive the neopixel rings as part of a multilayer objet d'art. It uses a pink heart my sweetie made on her Crickit and I used the black acrylic you sell to add definition to the neopixels. A pink Feather handles the duties of running the custom animation and other software. Rather than hide the mcu away, I am mounting it on top of a lovely wooden jewelry box with the mess of wires and terminal blocks hidden inside. I'll try to get a video when I get it all set up tonight. I still have a ways to go on a frame and enclosure for mount the Valentine's-inspired pixel configuration and animations using adafruit_animations in CircuitPython. I have many plans for upgrades to similar avant guarde nerd art. For now I had to limit the features because um, Valentine's day is tomorrow! Hard deadlines always inspire me to reach a viable MVP. I may not share the meaning of the rings and their relative size and position within the stenceled pink heart because it's kind of mushy. Being mushy in a the most nerdy way possible makes this something very personal for her. I have known this women since we were both 16 in high school and live together now in Sturbridge, MA 35 miles from where we datad as teens. It gets mushier from here. But... Pink Feather RP2040 as a feature part of the artistic statement, a combination of components I've purchased from Adafruit artistically merged with a thin with intricate pink heard stenceled on it. Sue gave that to me, and I non-destructively turned into another artistic piece that we built together. Mushy, mushy, mushy... Trivia: What TV show from the 60s or 70s featured a line "Mushy, Mushy, Mushy" in an epic scene?

Do you all have a resource anywhere that talks about what printers you use and/or recommend for other folks to use?
@smoky island we don't, but we like the cr3 https://www.tinymachines3d.com/products/creality-cr-10-v3-plus-3d-printer-with-genuine-e3d-direct-drive-extruder-and-bl-touch
Thank you!
If I was going to buy another printer instead of my Ender 3v2, I would get a CR10. My best friend has one and it's solid (he also has a Prusa and a Makerbot)

I love my E-3 Pro.
I'm having good luck with my Ender 3v2, but now I'm seeing horror stories with the latest (undocumented) variations being shipped. Mine was bought for last Christmas, so I just missed the horror experience. Of course, the stock firmware sux, so I reflashed that within a week or two of ownership.
The muybridge horse kinescope was originally displayed on a zoetrope
Thank you. Appreciate you taking a moment to talk about it. I've had a good experience with my LulzBot Mini for many years now. But it's having some auto-leveling issues that I don't have the patience to troubleshoot fully. Looking into options for something new, really helpful to get input from you all with all of the experience that you have.
A glass bed was the best upgrade I made. Knocked out all the dips and knots. Just allow it to heat soak when printing.
Fewer layers in walls and use fancy fill between.

Noir Queen 2019 - Maz's Flower Ring Boxes
This is a collection of the flower ring boxes I designed back in 2019. I 3D printed a few of the versions but only took photos of the v3 ring box. I think I shared some of these on my Instagram page at one point. The Noir Queen version is the last one that I made. My main gripe about this version is how ...
Every week we'll 3D print designs from the community and showcase slicer settings, use cases and of course, Time-lapses!

thanks folks! cya tonight ๐
thanks so much for hanging out folks!
Thanks All!
great hangout
thanks guys!
Hi folks, not sure if I can appear live tonight, but here is a one minute video and quick explanation of this Valentine's day project. I accidentally fried the original config of neopixel rings but found a suitable replacement in a thin shadow box that looked decent with the same animations. All CircruitPython using a Pink Feather RP2040 as the controller. Hopefully this uploads. Downgrade to 420p
still much to do. We must reframe it and allow it to be hung. But fun project. She surprised me with the pink heart stencil on glass, I surprised her by non-destructively creating my kind of craft. It's a mutually contributed Valentine's day gift to each other. Powered by Pink Feather RP2040, CircuitPython, ...
@hard hollow and @rocky reef if there's time I would love to explain some of the challenges and how I "failed my way to success on this V-day project
I would love to talk about my Radiation King Radio project. Is there a join link I am missing, or is it just chat on here? https://hackaday.io/project/184011-radiation-king-radio
My goal is to create the table-top radio as seen in Fallout 3 and 4. (See rendering)
Using custom time-based coding, the software create simulated live radio stations. You can tune the dial and it has the feeling of an old-school AM/FM radio.
The software can automatically parse folders and files into virtual radio bands and stations. Station ...
Wait for the StreamYard link to be posted here!
If it is full, keep trying, folks will drop off after showing their projects. Chat is in this channel as well!
Looking forward to demonstrating my "Telephone Ringer" on show-and-tell. It rings a telephone through a RJ-11 Jack. Runs off Adafruit Feathers and can even run just on a lipo battery! I've written code for Arduino and CircuitPython. Tonight, I'll be using the ESP8266 Feather to demo remote control through the interwebs
Thank's Kattni. I've never done one of these before
This is my Majora's Mask Macro Keyboard. Since people asked if it could play an N64 game I mapped the buttons in an emulator of my copy of Majora's mask and got it to run about as well as you can without a joystick or enough buttons.
hope it's Mac friendly software to share. Cuz I don't do windows
Since it seems like we're just doing Show and Tell in chat at the moment I figured I'd share :p
It's Streamyard which is web based, I think it works on Macs.
@clear matrix I just discovered your name in copper on the TLV493 board. Your design?
Love the font and the copper really pops.
Good evening all you most excellent people.
Hey y'll
Was that a duck?
Good evening everyone.
It's one of the few boards I designed, yep! And it's not a font - I wrote it out, saved it as a bitmap and it has been added to our silk library. :)
Oops workstation crash, please standby
hey everybody
yay!
Time flies like an arrow.
"oh just a small little AI thing..."
Ah, Dan.
yay CircuitPython HTTP server!
sweet!
Nice! I was going to write one like that!
thanks for working on this dan
HTTP 200 OK!
I ported the wsgiserver from ESP32SPI if you are interested too

Dan this is truly amazing. I have an empty source file of the same name already created!

will say it every chance I get, asyncio is awesome. Thanks Dan
That's awesome Dan!
With QTPy ESP32S2, make things like LED throwies, but Wordle... everywhere
Wordle all the things
that's so cool dan
Would it run on the FunHouse?
@grand tusk I think so, isn't that an esp32-s2?
Similar to Flask?
Yes Access Point Mode
Yep, same basic idea.
it looks like "access point" mode exists in python so it should be possible
Awesome
This is awesome. HTTP server and a web browser on another device is a great way to show data from the microcontroller. Thank you for working on it Dan!
thats really sweet
@rapid hornet can that library do multiple host?
I think it does do basic hubs
is it .. musical?

nice pcb artwork @cinder wind
second core for audio work could be interesting
it's working well already
(usb host uses the second core)
MP3 loading is fairly quick as well
is that battery puffy?
puffy batteries mean they've got extra charge /s
oh using a motor driver is a smart idea
Love the different ringtones
Nice. Easier than finding 90 VAC at 20 Hz somewhere... ๐
Great work with this phone ringer. Lots of nice features!

landline phones are such a lost technology now. it's cool to see them used again
amazing
Yes audiomixer.AudioMixer is awesome and should totally work for this
ogg decodes fast on most processors
that project is sooo good looking
specialy if hardware support
Telephone ringers are tuned to be resonant at a specific frequency. Classic Western Electric phones are 20 Hz but my father was in general telephone territory and his phone was tuned to 57 Hz. Thats how they handled party lines, only one phone would ring
Telephony oxymoron - party lines absolutely weren't a party to use.
I've seen those ultrasonic remotes but I've never seen one work
You can drop me this week @haughty quiver
What was that CAD tool? @Zapwizard really knows how to use it.
I will come back. I have a lot on my desk right now.
maybe the eagle cad modeling tool
What is the PCB class that Paul referenced?
I just want to come on today and blame John Park for the thousands I spend at Adafruit! Someone must be held accountable
Sorry @haughty quiver
