Can you hightlight the docs page?
I'm back, how noticed I was even gone? 😛
The weblate gang missed you @autumn turret !
Oh great, they've formed a gang in my absence! lol
Yeah, where were you?
Witness protection and relocation?
We are all getting matching tattooes.
My blinka is blue and yellow.
Wow, those docs are REALLY well done!
Was that you @light stump ?
That is High level documentation
Looks like there was "some math" involved here.
@light stump Great Work
Amazing work
TFTFeatherWing35 worked a treat!
I'll have to use the gauges on my thermometer.
Plutonium levels in your flux capacitor
translate(amazing).surfer = Duuuuuuude
translate(amazing).wookie = RAAAAWRGBRRW
LOL
Perfect for my Home Assistant dashboard!
translate(amazing).sv = Helt [redacted] otroligt!
translate(amazing).groot = I am groot.
The Groot translation will be easy!
@grand tusk - if you are on GitHub, this is the issue Foamy mentioned
https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_CircuitPython_FeatherWing/pull/68
So, is the 2040 Feather sold out yet?
Yet? Or again?
lol
Scott mentioned they added 600 boards yesterday.
still avalaible
Max 2 per customer - that's why there are still some available!
Lets order the blinka tattoos
Thanks for advertising the docs!
@light stump we will need a documentation tutorial stream 🙂
What board should I buy that can do CP and has a TFT?
I want the size of a Magtag.
PyPortal is larger. Maybe bigger than Magtag
There you go!
So... What more should I put in my order...
Moar tattoos
I put the 2.9" EPD on a feather m0. Just doesn't have enough memory.
I got a PyPortal in an Adabox, but that one died on me.
Got myself the latest Adabox as well.
1 x Blinka the CircuitPython Temporary Tattoo[ID:2600] = $0.95
Oh, the things you do for the weblate gang!
just one?
The permanent one is blue and yellow so.
Even I got 2 when I ordered!
I could definitely stand to learn a lot about Sphinx. Seems like an archaic language that only the ancients know how to utter.
Agreed. And it feels like a bunch of macros intermingled with ReSTructured stuff
I’ve spent hours not realizing that my tabbing/spacing was the problem.
The "Black" utility is really good about helping isolate those. Probably won't fix them, but at least give you an idea what's possibly busted where
It was complaining about not finding a specific version of a chip
timing errors are terrible
Pretty!
max ushort
max uint_16t
I think you probably want to display the brightness in its own unit
uint16_t?
So lux, lumens, etc
I always type the wrong thing.
What about some lox instead? I could go for that!
We need some of these as well! 🙂
I think you just volunteered! 😉
Porting the HA graphs to CP. Sounds like a walk in the park. For someone that knows Javascript.
Let's give the needle some mass so it bounces a little when the value changes.
At least I ordered a display that can run the graph library stuff that I don't have any time to create.
just pretend there's perfectly tuned state space controller so it never bounces
The bounce range should be called "sproingness"
As ladyada says, wanna make a PR?
Check out the SwitchRound.
https://circuitpython.readthedocs.io/projects/displayio-layout/en/latest/api.html#switch-round
Already done (y)
Yeah, like when I point out error message problems when I use weblate, and Scott wants me to do a PR. Like I even have the code on my machine.
Get out of that cave...
@wind spoke hello
There’s a whole set of “easing” functions with varying motions ready for use:
https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_CircuitPython_DisplayIO_Layout/blob/main/adafruit_displayio_layout/widgets/easing.py
That is neat!
Just pick another range.
Bonsoir @wind spoke
Maybe try a dial with sweep_angle=0.
Looking forward to playing with those. Only have the Magtag today, kinda hard animate stuff on that. 😆
Those label with an angle are computed? I mean, it is not a bitmap but one of the evolution of label?
Yes, bitmap_label, in vertical is coming your way 🙂
The angled text are done using the bitmaptools.rotozoom to copy (blit) a bitmap_label’s bitmap into a larger dial’s bitmap.
Sorry @light stump I know you (and other) have added a lot of graphical feature since weeks, but I have not really tested those yet.
@light stump Do this widgets has a color theme by deafault?
I want to include this default theme for the text labels, that way it would be easier
They have defaults but no consistency between them.
I’m interested to see where your heading on the themes and what “hooks” need to be in widgets to connect to those.
Time for me to head out. Take care everyone, and thanks for the stream @smoky island
This is for the style, and shows how to include it in the widget
Bye @autumn turret
Cool. I’ll take a look this next week to learn how to incorporate the styles/themes.
Thanks... 🙂 Yes, we need some input as we need to define the best way to integrate all the other widgets, and you know after the set-uo is hard to come back and change the way the new library works
Who was working on a watch?
TG-Techie
Can we do a 360°?
Is there a needle size, to make a hour vs minute hand ... and the second hand.
360 degrees is yes. Second needle isn’t built in. Would need to be a subclass, but should be able to re-use all the code inside the existing class.
Overlay them...
Yep or overlay.
Compass would be cool.
So you are going to make a new year progress...
Can do 0 degrees sweep angle - for a linear dial, or 360 for full circle. If you use 0, be sure to use the clip_needle=True. Otherwise the radius is infinite!
Thanks!
Thanks @smoky island
Thanks foamyguy for the great stream! Great discussion with everyone!
Thank you.
Yes thanks everybody
Thanks, learned so much.
Yeah, he streams on thursday.
Why not.
All those that missed it will be potential viewers...
Thanks for hanging out everyone!
I guess I missed the camel.
it's one of my desktop backgrounds that change out randomly. This one always gets me to crack up when it pops out from behind my active windows 😆
Saw it briefly on the replay. hehehe
Have to switch from the M4 back to the FeatherS2 'cause I'm too lazy to add stemma to the M4.
lol
That looks like something from goat simulator!
Just a reminder that I’ll be streaming again today doing some PCB Design and talking about some new developments
I’ll be streaming on Twitch at 6:30pm EDT/3:30pm PDT
On Twitch: https://twitch.tv/oakdevtech

❤️ Thanks for everything you do!
@smoky island on your livestream you showed that the dial gauge can go above/below range. Is this a “feature” or a bug we should fix?
Thinking ahead, if someone adds “bouncy” motion the dial should be able to go slightly above max/below min. Any thoughts are welcome.
It's an interesting question. I can see arguments for both ways. If it can go past the maximum it allows it to be used for things like Clock faces, and Compass needles because they would want to be able to spin all the way around over and over. But I'm not sure if catering to those use cases inside the Dial class is necessary. Perhaps a subclass could be used for that functionality. Beyond those use cases I lean toward thinking it should not allow the needle to move past the maximum or below the minimum (an exception could be made for the bounce effect though as I would see that as an embellishment of the UI and not an actual value being set).
I think of it like an air pressure guage. If the pressure is higher than the gauge can handle it will slam all the way to the top and then be stuck there. I would envision the software component gauge working similarly by default.
Cool. I’ll add an issue.
I was thinking the same thing. There can be a need for a limit, but at the same time, the option for over-rotation can also be used. When I saw the over-rotation, what came to mind was an analog altimeter on an aircraft. Every full rotation is 1000 feet, with a secondary dial (like an hour hand) as the "thousands" indicator
At the same time, if you're doing something like a tachometer, you probably don't want or need it to go passed whatever limit you have, even if you do end up rotating the engine at 50k RPM
Good idea. I’ll add an optional input parameter and it will default to keep the needle within range.
I’ll be going live here in 15 minutes
Come hang out for some PCB design 🙂

and I'm live 🙂
Hello
And I just realized I was in the totally wrong channel 🤦
I don't think I should be allowed in typing places! lol
That's twice in 2 days.
I was in #help-with-hw-design
I deleted the messages, because they didn't belong
True, except for that "good evening" and "not hearing anything" type message, maybe not so much a PCB issue?"
So what's "ripple voltage"? Like variance?
What? Power company doesn't send me perfectly shaped, properly tunes sine-wave volts?
56mv doesn't seem too far off
Having that "ripple current" selection field seems handy for this, no?
That is a lot of size variations
"Would you like that in 6.2, 6.3 or 6.32mm? Great, now how wide would you like that?"
Forget it, I'll just put a dime in there or something and hope for the best!
I kept hearing a background type buzz or whirr, just realized, it's probably your 3d printer moving around!
Not a bother or antyhing, just one of those "What IS that!"
Thanks for the tour. of course you started with the computer and diploma! humblebrag 😛
You don't have it show pricing at a certain volume?
Ah, makes sense for the prototype
I guess there isn't some way you can put in the part number - manufacturer, Digi-Key, etc, and find the "right" one in the component list?
I meant within Eagle
Ok, makes sense. I'm coming in as a newb knowing nothing, so to me "If I say part X, it'll be part X" without confusion
As the person who'll be working from the design later on, as long as you understand yourself, that's a good start
Hah! I recognized the ethernet port by the colour codes
Looks nice to me
15 pages or boards? wow
I've heard of FPGAs, and lots of hype, but no idea what they can do, or their benefit
That's my own ignorance
Ah, cool. Appreciate it!
6:30ET?
Cool beans, will try to make it. That's usually around supper time, but I'll be around sooner or later during then 🙂
Thanks for the stream. I still managed to learn something despite me!
🙂
i'm thankful for the viewership. I get to learn a lot too
some things i've not done before so it's a great opportunity for me to try and apply theory and make something cool 🙂
One day, I might even combine everything I learn into a helpful or relevant question! lol
Cool
the conversation is worth it's weight regardless of "quality" questions 🙂
every question of curiosity is helpful 🙂
Good, coz I've got a lot of that!
🥳
Desk of Ladyada - More Mechanical Keys, Rotary Trinkey, iMX RT chips, QT Py RP2040 and more - https://youtu.be/jtVuugh8ew8
iMX RT development returns to Adafruit, we're kicking off more development of this platform that got a little delay late last year. Keep your eyes peeled for the Metro iMX that will hit the store in a few weeks. For Stemma Sunday we started designing our QT mechanical keyboard breakout with 4 keys and neopixels. The QT Py RP2040 is ready to go, ...
👋
Woah, up to 10??! Jinkies!
Any hardware revisions or changes between the first run and the current one of the 2040 Feather?
Great, thanks : )
There is a Rev B in Gitahub and one with no rev... which matches the current?
the power per size of that board is just crazy
Usbc is also a host connector
I wonder if having the option to add 1 discounted Micro-to-C USB per order with a USB-C device might help those who are reluctant? Though they're already not pricey to begin with at 1.25$
https://www.adafruit.com/product/4299
No need for a discount just add it to the recommended accessories (the checkboxes under add to cart)
I have an idea to use a circular display for, just need to find one and figure out how to use it
Loos like there are three unsoldered pins (if I see it right)
True, and it might already be. I have enough "C" cables I don't think of it or notice
Nice, flex cables are great, love to see it
EYE SPI
EYE SPI on NPI?
Seems like RAM is fairly petite on the metro M7. What’s the main use expected for this new board?
EYE SPI with a circular display... that could be fun
Are those cables the same as the rpi camera (or the zero)?
Hi from CR.
Secondary usb
Buenas tardes @gusty wedge
Thanks. Noches as the sky darkens early in this lattitudes.
Ah yeah, getting further into autumn, isn't it
I hate it when people fix their bugs and break my code
We don't have 4 (sorry Vivaldi), only dry and wet seasons. Kinda in between now.
Also is kinda the same the whole year, the seasons don't affect the darkening time much. It's always dark but 6pm. (it's 8 now)
Fairly close to the equator then @gusty wedge?
my geography is as good as my attention sp...squirrel!
Right in the middle.
Sun clocks suck here 🙂
I think it could use a yellow crank on the RotoPy.
HID is the absolutely backbone of all our AT stuff over the past few years. The fact that circuitpython makes it so easy is awesome.
I like to (re-)use hard drive parts as rotary encoders.
(made a "pedal" for a friend)
Question for the Rotary USB Py... thoughts on a small switch so you could make the Rotary switch have “two functions” A and B or “volume” and “rewind / Fast forward” ?
Looks like it has a couple of capacitive touch pads on the end.
Or maybe not: https://github.com/adafruit/circuitpython/blob/main/ports/atmel-samd/boards/rotary_trinkey_m0/pins.c
off topic but I just wanted to say many thanks for adding the Adafruit Metro M7 with AirLift - Featuring NXP iMX RT1011 to "coming soon"
Do you make sure there’s an e-card model on those? Or do you make your own?
E cad
Stupid phone
Eagle footprint
Thanks, very cool show.
a rotary encoder on the keyboard i2c would be cool
Chance for two encoders on QTpy ?
Maybe I’ll just call my 6 pin quick SPI adapter SPI TIE
It sounds like a lot of performance in there when those iMX feathers/metro hit the store. A lot of processing power to figure out how best to use it.
Well, seeing the price on the rotary encoders certainly helped make some sense of the Surface Dial's pricing
@autumn turret helping to know component pricing to see actual device pricing
absolutely
last entry here @0735 ... No Weekly Circuitpython ???? ... Can't find on YT
FYI ... timestamp on my previous query is America/Phoenix time as this one
The text chat is in the CircuitPython channel. And for audio look for the “Voice” channel.
They usually post the recording to YouTube later in the day.
Aware of the later post on YT but waz originally looking 4 the LIVE broadcast which has been B4
@fallow fractal we just finished up
we only broadcast to youtube live once
(for circuitpython day)
Ok ... apparently I'm totally confused ... nevermind

Hi from CR.
Hola @gusty wedge

You can disable USB plugin in CURA if you are not printing directly from it.
You can also use the reset button to get into bootloader mode with the Feather RP2040
It kinda didn't work, but resolving it was quite quick!
oh yeah I encountered that cura thing in September, finding the solution took some googling
from the github issuse: To disable in Cura go to "Marketplace" -> "Installed" tab and uncheck "USB Printing".
yup, cura just hogs all the USB
are those neopixels?
They are!

Can several screens fit together side by side to make a bigger one?
I'm browsing those LEDs on Amazon -- that's the best price I've seen hands down. Next cheapest was $26 for a single sheet.
Snake game would be easy
the grappers what hug your hand for example to keep itself in place
Next best was ebay --- $11.27 for a single sheet, but would take over a month from China/HK/Taiwan.
I’ve seen shoulder baby Groot at Disney Springs
fit picamera to it

I’m looking at some cool transparent Black PLA to do some cool LED diffusion

I'm going to grab 6x of these $11 panels from ebay -- time for LuxCube 1.0. 🧊
Very cool demo, that thermal camera with screen and batt is quite cool.
I wish I could do 3D CAD 😩

It was so great seeing these new faces this week -- and such a pleasure for everyone who returned to show something new they've created 🙂 Y'all are a joy in these dark times. Thank you for sharing and being here this week with us.
Nice projects everyone!
@wind spoke for the win! Nice stacking!
I took a break for dinner so now I have to stream both S&T and AAE at the same time ..
Thanks, does not always works... need to double check the pinout. But many are 3V GND SCL SDA.
@rapid hornet Silly question -- how's the tactile feel of your box-all containers? Do they lock closed with a good solid snap, or are they a bit weak and mushy like a generic pillbox lid?

That's one question already. I guess if you ask another, that'd be stacking them?
I've had my first vaccination. 😎
Q1: I was soldering... and I don't have a nice fan, so I opened a window, and used a mask! Is that smart? Use a mask for soldering and limiting what you inhale. How big is a virus vs the solder/flux fume?
I'm one week past my two weeks for full vaccination and this week I have the regular old flu 😦
Ouch, sorry to hear that @upbeat coral
@upbeat coral 🙁

I'm allergic to Flu Vaccine but I will say this, the flu hits me every year but this year not as bad.

@wind spoke Like a lot of low-level chemical exposure -- a little bit of solder smoke probably won't be bad, but it can accumulate -- long-term exposure can have very nasty results. Ventilate as much as possible -- even if it's a table or ceiling fan. Open windows, etc. A n95/surgical/cloth mask isn't designed to stop chemical contaminates --- you'd want specially designed filters for that.
But something is better than nothing. It's a barrier that filters something. I had an emergency last autumn -- fight a small brush-fire before it got out of control. I donned a KN95 and it helped tremendously against random blasts of smoke.
Woah, there are still some Neo Trinkeys in stock???

Thanks to mask, hand washing and lockdown... this year there was no Flu in Belgium. So it must work somehow against COVID and the Flu.

I am using a Feather M0 LoRa along with an STM32 Nucleo board. There are 2 GPIO connections between the boards and a serial signal. The Nucleo board powers the feather from its 5V output. But I have found that if I plug in a USB cable to the feather to program it and forget to have the Nucleo powered, the feather tries to power the Nucleo via the GPIO. This burns out the GPIO pin on the Feather. Any suggested way to prevent this? I have considered a diode and a pullup resistor on the Feather but am not really fond of that idea.
@autumn maple if you place a series resistor, you can limit the current
@autumn maple Perhaps set aside a USB cable, and cut its positive lead.
(Essentially making a "data-only" USB cable)
Right.
it won't interfere with low-ish frequency operation, but the definition of low frequency varies. I think a hundreds-of-ohms resistor would be where I'd start, adafruit recommends 300-500 ohms as series resistor for neopixel data lines which is kinda where my mind started. https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide/best-practices

Question for the show: The Toggle Capacitive Touch Sensor Breakout - (AT42QT1012) it appears you brought the connection for the touch pad to the surface is that okay for expanding to a reed switch or other like components? Would it still toggle ?
Was that a spoiler?
Thanks. I do not need speed.
I bet those NeoKey breakouts would look awesome on a permaproto board

I've burned out 2 Feathers...LOL
@slow spire I'll have to check that out
After buying 2 more, I magically started remembering... LOL
Anxious to get busy with Circuit Python on the Pico with various displays! Tired of only finding MicroPython Pico display examples!
Is it I two C or I squared C? Or just preference?
I squared C
@wind spoke You could try building a Feather-Itsy adapter on a piece of Perma Proto
It is IIC.
Question: How’s the MagTag family doing? Been out of stock for awhile, would be cool to see another permutation in the future too. Love my Magtags 🙂
I squared C, it stands for inter integrated circuit
Inter-Integrated Circuit ( I think)
Well I have the Teensy adapter, so I was hoping. Hopefully I did not try before asking. 🙂

her youtube channel is amazing
So I had to run right after show and tell. Just got a chance to catch up with the messages and watch the youtube video. I could see myself in Streamyard. Any idea why nobody else could? Also here's the project I was talking about.
That's peculiar. Sounded like Ladyada and PT were also able to see your video. Streamyard might have just been having a "moment". Looking very nice! 🙂
Thanks! I guess that makes sense that they could see me. I figured one of them would have said something if not. I'll just have to try again next week with another project!
Greetings all.

@autumn turret You have no idea how much I've taught myself Excel for projects. I'm a field-based engineer that's been benched due to covid-risk. It's honestly amazing what you can do with it.
I've heard of entire businesses - as in multi-million dollar/year businesses, live or die by Excel
100% true.
Yuuup!
My current goal is to find pretty looking/well-designed spreadsheets and incorporating those design elements into my reports I've been creating.
I've heard terrible mistakes were made because databases were stored in an excell sheet without taking into account the size limit
HI Scott and all. Glad you are streaming on Thursday as I just got my Feather RP2040. So it was perfect timing.
I have a seesaw since more than a year... and I still don't know what is the use of that!
Sounds like a "Got it because I'm sure I'll need it, but don't know when, except 2 days after I get rid of it" 🙂
I saw that it was in use on many Adafruit board... so I said to myself it must be useful.
What is the intended purpose of the Seesaw?
Also, Haven't had much chance to work with my Feather 2040, but now I have a neotrinkey coming, so Feather2040's old news now! lol
Don't ask me...
I figured that - It was meant for Scott (or others)
TinyUSB's host mode driver is pretty basic at the moment. Just simple HID
I think there is some USB Host support from this featherwing: https://github.com/wntrblm/Hostess_FeatherWing
I look at seesaw as kind of the "swiss army knife" of IO Expanders.
What, the seesaw does not run CircuitPython? 🙂
like a port expander, via a firmware on a samd21 co processor rather than a specialized chip
Q: What are/would be the major milestones to get a BT-only experience working on a CP device?
So sounds like you need CircuiterPython: Python that runs on samd09 and bootloads via I2C
Oooh, next week? Spoilers!?!??!
We need a physical clicker with configurable timing.
so is that over an HCI protocol (I'm not familiar with bluetooth, just have been trying to pair/bond my wii balance board to a raspberry pi so this is somewhat familiar)
I paused the live stream and now I'm catching up at 1.5x speed... pretty funny
So would REPL be part of the initial BT/BLE workflow, or a later enhacement?
that explanation clarifies sooo many things
Scott this is a GREAT idea and will be huge to get CP on more devices and for more people to learn to program !
Can we do BT gateaway chinese wall with BT on the AirLift and BT on the NRF52840?
Stop asking BT questions, @autumn turret - it will all be revealed next week! 🥳
in case it wasn't obvious, I'm very stoked to watch this develop and hopefully contribute!
Me too. Even bought a BT board already!
One last BT question - How do I pair my BT mouse with my BT-enabled scale? 😛
Let's go back to talking about chip storage!
aw man I have to wait a whole week for more? Aw darn haha 😅
The mental cost of mode switching is tough
But but... when all the microprocessor will be supported, what are you going to do?
I bought some RT1010 dev boards when they were released.
Old 5.25" diskette holder/sorter for storage?
or maybe even 3.5" for the smaller ones
Or a wall mounted pegboard if you're short on space and want to be able to see all the dev boards at once?
Yeah, they were cheap as pie!
Doesn't the Teensy have a proprietary part? Like the bootloader? And it is supported. Where other iMX board are "raw"? So what will be the difference for CP support?
notes the fire extinguisher I should probably follow your lead there....
This is my box of ‘current’ stm32 stuff. Older ones are in my storage unit
Yes I have two. One near my bbq and 1 next to the (unused) fireplace.
1 Ghz... well time to stop optimizing things
Fire extinguishers and all other safety gear (glasses, n95, face shield, ear muffs, etc) are always within reach of my workbench -- zero obstructions between me and them. Never have to reach over anything to get them either (so I don't have to cross over a fire to get the extinguisher, etc).
Worked in a few places that demanded that as a policy, and I've carried forward the good habit 🙂
I think we all have seen dev boards... 🙂
NXP loves to use large packaging
I guess I should retrieve my I.MX box from storage. By that time Scott will have moved on 🙂
Deep dive with Jeff...
Dev Board Storage idea .... wall sized PCB with a grid of male USB conectors... you just stick the boards on the wall ...
I’m on coding hiatus until ski season ends. April 18 or May 25.
Are you going to solder pin on all of those?
I went Tuesday... sunshine 4" of new 🙂
Why are PCB green by default ?
Hi everyone! What audio codec does that have.
Basically it's because Green can relieve visual fatigue.
Ah cirrus logic
Might be sdram
I knew you all would know the things ! 💫
Hi from CR.
And for roughly the same price you can get a STM32H745I-DISCO ...with the screen...overpriced NXP 😄
And everytime Limor say regulator, I have a song that start in my head.
What chip family are you looking forwards to supporting for display stuff?
STM32F746G-DISCO < USB-HS.....and the screen....$50 maybe... 😄
I'm guilty of spending way too much at TEquipment -- they have aggressive pricing on test equipment.
@rapid hornet Just say to Limor you need one 😄 I'm sure she'll send you one 😄
well now some prices could be higher than they normally are
I wish the ESP32-S2 Kaluga CP libraries were built out ..... (its like the disco)
Any idea if Espressif will contribute that way?
Oh man I forgot about the deep dive

Wow, that's for real. Awesome.
NOOOOOOOOO....now it'll never leave my mind.
I woke up one night to having the Eye on NPI full extended version stuck in my head
I'll upload the 10-hour version of that
....I was working on something else when that started to play, and I immediately started singing along.
Great advertising, Adafruit. 🙂
I ran pre-commit run --all-files locally so I can stop embarrassing myself by pushing whitespace errors
That really illustrates why chips are rotated sometimes.
I routed a board with curved traces...JLCPCB rejected it...
That's because the electrons move faster at the outside edge of the curve to the inner and may cause your board to start spinning uncontrollably
wow really? did they give a specific reason?
That's weirdly specific
if the teensy 4.1 in the future will be able to run circuitpython, will lady ada move the testers to cpy?
Would be cool to have cpy hardware testing cpy hardware.
she optimizes for speed though
make a CircuitOuroboros😅
I would have run the git submodule add without deleting the directory, that was scary !
it should have worked without even moving it
Whenever I have to delete something, or move it weirdly I always back it up first, as I don't trust myself
I trust Time Machine... sometimes
Time Machine is a low-effort backup that may or may not work. I trust my manual backups I do, and I trust what I move to my NAS and let it handle the backups to external drives (with dedupe, versioning, compression, etc).
yeah and Time Machine is like every hour, so you can still lose recent work
❤️ btrfs
@rapid hornet It's built into Synology, a commercial NAS product for home users/small businesses.
And i think Resesas bought Dialog
Renesas
eventually all semi companies will be one
I still have that digi-key search tune in my head..
some days i wake up and the digikey search song is in my head. such a weird earworm 🙂
Yeah lets hear the tune one more time...
These streams motivate me to work. I got audiomixer for the RP2040 PRed, in theory should work for any non-M4 too (though others may be too slow)
Thanks Scott. Have a great weekend.
thanks for the great stream!
Thanks Scott
Great stream
Have fun skiing
uuf da, 0900
Thanks for the stream
Thanks Scott
@rapid hornet Thanks for an excellent Deep Dive -- and special thanks for demoing those SMD containers!
❤️
random learn guide. 🙂
Tuesday
thanks @rapid hornet! deep dives always inspire me to dive deeper into what i'm working on even if completely unrelated 🙂
Thanks Scott!
Just for fun, here's "The Great Search" Digikey song slowed down by 2000%. Now it's full-song length! https://todbot.bandcamp.com/track/where-in-the-world
With Scott out on the slopes this evening we don't have the normal Friday CircuitPython hangout. I'll be streaming some work on some projects and libraries if anyone else is interested in hanging out. I've got to start an hour later than the usual deep dive time though. I'll post links in here when I am about to get started around 5pm central / 6pm eastern / 1 hr from now.
Foamyguy comes in with the save!
Are we renaming it to "Foamy Friday"?
Alright I am about to get started. Join me here in the chat, on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/foamyguy_twitch or YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDAyfZp_350
We have a saying in Sweden, which translates to "When the cat is gone, the rats dance on the table."
