It's a ton of fun to try and get something set up with the scope every wednesday. I had everything working, and then made an interesting discovery about a hour before the show. Getting that chip decaped and preped for imaging was a race against time. Enginering deadlines are always fun. (as are the bodges that make them work...)

I played on a buddy's vive a while back. It was amazing and I didn't feel sick
Most notable moments for me was in one game (junkyard wars or something) when the game loads you start off on a platform up in the air and my fear of heights (more uncomfortableness of heights) kicked in for a few seconds til I got my bearings
And also when his dog came into the room and there was something licking me that I couldn't see, took a second to figure out what was happening
I feel like it's one of those things you'd be delighted for your friend to have rather than get yourself

For leak detection, you can use a helium leak detector. It basicly is a mass spectrometer tuned to detect helium that you connect to the system. I have a very old one that does not work anymore (i may have harvested it for parts...). Otherthan that, it is just figuring out where the leak is likely and moving on from there.

i was working on just running the wire from foot pedal to trigger camera shutter
wanted to set a dual trigger for focus and shutter. but i think just shutter would be better. since when doing overhead you typically manually focus

Another option is there are selfie sticks with a trigger button on them in the equivalent of a dollar store over here that have something that plugs into the headphones slot that you could probably use that
