I think a valid thing to bring up is stuff like the recent blogs where Mod Goblin has solicited feedback in advance of the Getting Around poll they did - but he only did it on Reddit, and unless you were chronically on Reddit you probably had no idea that even happened in the first place. And they actually did it recently again with a solicitation for Gathering QoL suggestions, and that one only got linked here due to players asking for it. Even if people could only make posts on Reddit, that interaction was being limited to a specific subset (and echo chamber) of the community.

Specifically with DMM we also saw significant issues with availability of basic information. Even with 4 blogs, you still had to reference 20 jmod Reddit comments and 30 wiki pages to understand how even some of the basic mechanics worked, beyond having to go back and forth between those 4 blogs that all had different tidbits of information.

The wiki does a great job of consolidating information, but is player-run and often lags reality, especially with limited events like that or when you don’t even know what you don’t know until you encounter it.

Like as a basic example, there was 1 line tucked away in a specific paragraph about how you could sell duplicate sigils back to the skull by using them on the skull in this DMM. If you didn’t read that one blog out of the 4 they published and read that exact line, you were kinda screwed because there was no way to logically know that (especially because clicking the item inside the skull shop made it seem like you just couldn’t sell it back).

yea it was first DMM i participated in but it felt like Leagues with extra steps.

I mean, i get that rewarding for kills or damage could be abused and balancing is difficult in these kind of temporary game modes to avoid malice and keep integrity. but idk it just felt like lame leagues. Skilling seemed pointless, quests were unlockable but i still had to do bunch of quests to do daries. Pvp was rewarding nothing, so no point in trying to learn, better just hide in the shadows and points from other activities accept breaches was slow...
i still got 100k points and i will get what i wanned, the loot key changes made me consider and actually play dmm but something felt off, not sure if i really would want to do it again .

Got the kit on my iron that I will never use because it somehow looks worse than the base version of torva

Bought a 2nd blueprint, it won't let me do anything with it at all.

When you 1st turn in the blueprint to npc for redecorate, you're given a exit portal blueprint, but one you use that exit portal blue print.. Seems there no way to get it back or get another one..
