to answer you: i did the hunter valamore tasks (50 rumors, feed for landing sites, etc) all with karamja unlocked and i never got any karamja tasks. I used aco to "block" sunlight antelopes, then teco can only give red chins and butterflies (so super fast, i think other way around works the same but didnt test). And by having teco block red chins afterwards, wolf could only give salamanders (equipable one is a task), moonlight butterflies (super fast) and moonlight antelopes (2 tasks)

so yeah karamja 100% does not interfere whatsoever
