i had fun with the puzzles i just hope the layout isnt like this ingame
I literally copied the text from the middle node
if you don't love the puzzle then someone tagged you with all answers
Air spells have a +1% chance to max hit for every 1 prayer bonus, this chance is doubled against enemies weak to air spells
Air spells deal +7% damage for each active prayer
Smoke spells now count as 'air' spells
Whenever your combat spells Regenerate air runes, you have a 15% chance to restore 1 prayer point per rune regenerated
so smoke barrage ina 100 Prayer setup
always max hits
and you can turn like 8 prayers on and dont run out of prayer points
and aoe
me picking the absolute worst possible path to get a 140% chance to regenerate
but you didn't, the middle node is:
50% chance to Regenerate* runes, ammo and charges
*Regenerate: Whenever you use runes to cast a spell, fire ammunition from a ranged weapon or consume charges with a charged weapon there is a % chance to generate an additional resource spent
if you mean just the generate terminology it means you get that back
so if you use a charge there's a % chance you get the charge back
or if you use an air rune you generate/create an air rune
think ava's accumulator but also for runes and weapon charges

There are additional nodes that give a flat percentage to regenerate ammo/runes/charges
So it says x% because that percentage can change based on what nodes you take
And thinks like avas and other items that save ammo/runes probably affect it as well
Might be first league I go mage, all the branches have insane stuff but mage seems particularly wild

Magic:
air: smoke barrage with 100 Prayer setup: always max hit, have 8 prayers active and probavbly never run out of prayer
water/Ice: increase your max health over ap for more damage and heala ton with each cast.
Fire/blood: regenerate a ton of runes for higher damage, burn yoruself for damage and burn enemys and aoe attack
Earth/shadow: get more defence, lower enemy defence, deal more damage based on your defence

i dont think you need that if you go for the 100 prayer setup
it's not about needing it
so magic air and fire seems crazy
water is nice for afk stuff and freezing enemys
earth seems the worst, not sure how worth it is to stack defence
Attack rate with combat spells in a spellbook is sped up by # ticks
this is a must get though
funny I have the opposite feeling, my main concern with earth is accuracy
but once you hit doing an extra flat +130 damage seems insane unless I'm reading it wrong

the 3 builds i think will be broken this league:
**Blindsack long range: **7 tile max range attack with halberd, have 5 op heavy weapons in inventory and deal insane damage numbers from range (if only 1 mastery drop the damage one) -> lots of hits and trigger weapon effects/spam specs
Crossbow max hit: max hit over 100, use diamond bolts e and the new echo weapon, hit up to 5 times, every hit is a max hit -> JACKPOT: 600 damage in 1 hit
mage: powered staff 1 tick. thats it, the elements dont matter. have fun with 1 tick ayak

Crossbow max hit is not that insane, the attack speed is so slow. With Zaryte, it's a 1.2*DPS increase
trident is 4t, ayak is 3t
both will be reduced to 1t by the speed pact
With Heavy Ballista, it's a 1.4x increase
I was thinking of going Kourend, Asgarnia, Tiranwnn
transmutation seems like the strongest t4 relic, just depends on clue tasks
at this point I feel like you're intentionally doing the math wrong lmao

Max hitting doubles your DPS, it's crushing blow
That seems really strong for melee and mage since mage gear and the crystal with blessing, could even get blowpipe for range and good training options

@fallow dew If you ever get back from lunch, my final number, disrespecting accuracy, is 3.34x damage boost. 40% boost from echoes if you always regenerate, 1.17 from prayer and small nodes, then 2x from max hitting, -40% from decreased speed and +70% from the main crossbow perk.

If your max accuracy roll is doubled from crossbow m2, and you have 40%chance to max acc, against a lot of bosses that’s almost a flat 40% chance to hit.

with all the buffs to max hit on crossbows, it is indeed a lot of damage

balista will be an 8 tick weapon which is nearly a 5 second attack speed without a never miss option is going to feel awful in a lot of content

im reaaally hoping they let us pick at least 2 or 3 of the final tree upgrades and not just go one path and get a couple of bonuses. being able to be strong in multiple styles would be really fun. i doubt they will, though.

it does almost nothign but get you kinda close to a few bosses + 1 or 2 additional util
transmutation is so op that it completely destroys old plans 
i was fully intending on going melee and i think if i can only pick one capstone im definitely going blindbag path
the teles don't seem to put you too close to banks this time around
i was going to do friendly forager for herb + secondaries but with transmutation not sure if it is worth for mainly secondaries

theres so many cool builds you can do with the pact system that no matter what im going to regret not doing something else

if they do 30 points it is fine for 1 style if they do around 50 points it would be perfect for min-maxing 1 style or doing 2 styles
I want to know how blowpipes work because unless they are included in thrown they will be useless

With earth spells scaling with def level, you'd still want mage armor though since Tankier armor doesn't give def levels correct? Since the tree itself will give def levels.

I would have loved the melee range pacts but they are basically useless if you dont take the elf region to use halberds

the wiki page says its classed as a bow, even though its not strung and the projectile is thrown

i think melee is pretty cool, you get the long arm of the law halberds and the blindbag 5x smacks
maybe atlatl is actually crossbow so at least some pacts work on it 
it is sorta limited to halberds though, so Mory or Elfville are kinda needed
