Hi all! Just a small update, we have been to BitSummit, a indie game event in Kyoto, Japan, and it was great to showcase The White Door for the first time.
We got a lot of feedback and we have a lot to do, but a lot of players where enthusiastic about the new gameplay/style. We will post some more teasers in this channel in the upcoming weeks.

We know every Rusty Lake fan thinks this at the moment…

In 1971 Dale goes to the Theatre and only talks with Bob. He doesnt sees mr owl or mr crow. Later in 1972 bob is seen in the police station.
However when Dale is inside the lake in 1972 and visits he's memorys in the Theatre one year ago he now sees Bob comiting suicide there and all the shows presente by mr owl.

Dear fans, unfortunately due personal circumstances we have to postpone the release date of The White Door to January 9. The past weeks we were unable to work as we are used too, leaving no other option to take a bit more time.
We strongly believe delaying the game will be better for our wellbeing but also the quality of the game, as we would normally crunch the last 4 weeks to the release date (and the weeks after). Not releasing any game this year makes us sad, but knowing what awesome projects we have in the pipeline, we are sure we will not let you down next year.

Honestly? The wait for White Door just makes me more excited to see what they'll do it. I love all of the games (even if some of the challenges make me cry out of frustration even with a walkthrough) and knowing that they're postponing it for their health and the need to be okay already has me loving the game and having even more respect for the creators

I imagine it could be very effective to teach the player in the early game to look for dangers in the overview part. then just mess with them by having things show up on one perspective but not the other et.c.

truly a masterpiece however, i love the gameplay that was applied in this game, so different from other cube escape/rusty lake games yet still retaining its soul. it felt really fitting to the storytelling

So my best friend came home last night and we finally played The White Door... Gosh it is an amazing experience ! The change of gameplay really brings a lot to the game, you get empathic with Bob throughout his stay... I'm glad you came up with such a great universe and such a great game !
