some altar puzzles in the chapel
But they're sparse enough to avoid me having to intervene ;)
's what i do
it shares the sprite of Ms. Pheasant's skeleton
never related that before
and now it requires explanation
I thought its deer without horns or eagle that only serves puzzle purpose
cool
look at the channel description
I didn't recognize it that much but fetus-heart-shell was already too reminiscent of The Lady play for me
either way, let's talk about this substance
okay
now to be fair she was an actress
Perhaps initially she would have performed in that play?
not sure
she could learn acting in the Pheasant life
Okay, she claimed to be one
not Eilander life
Oh, absolutely
that doesn't change much. She either IS Pheasant or plays her role
wh
indeed
No but like, she was an actress as Pheasant so it is likely the Lady of the Lake stage play was informed by her in some way
Like, Mr Crow and Mr Owl were designing the mind theater to deal with Dale's inner turmoil and corrupted memories and whatnot and Mr Owl went "hey you know who knows a lot about theater"
Of course, another issue is that, like, the Lady of the Lake is a common motif in the series, for obvious reasons
ok, back to the substance
hat = Pheasant
shell = no idea. but unimportant for the theory
here comes the most mindblowing part
The painting depicting Caroline refers to her as such, and the actual performer in the play is somewhat clearly styled after Emma Vanderboom
the fetus and the heart
in Case 23 it drowns in ink and leaves a heart
that could symbolize
a) her child
b) becoming corrupted and leaving a heart
yeah
now about dates
Aldous was born 2 years after Paradise
so the whole thing is still not impossible
ah yes
young adult magical baby moment
so indeed a nice way
relating characters
let me also check the releasing date
of some games
2015, 2016, 2018?
So Case 23 released first, then hotel, theatre and roots
thats a very nicely made plot
which is not impossible but still look kinda complex
but therefore, how would EIianders react
if nothing happened
that would be traumatizing
I believe the lake would provide a hint saying the ritual was a success
that's a damn good question
obviously the plagues stopped (but are last 2 really plagues?)
the sun turns into darkness and the moon into blood
seems plaguey enough for me
but still unfortunately we can do nothing but speculate about what happens hext
thats a lot of new info for me to intake today
unless we get the Rabbit game and see a little bit of David there
which havent happened in a while
you are welcome
doubt
he definitely has a deeper story behind his adventures
unless its the smaller game like 2015-2016 ones
I expect at least 3 acts albeit small
because larger games such as paradox is very time consuming and cost of production
indeed
Rabbit is no worse
gonna impress the fan base
but funny thing about rabbit
many ppl claim the Rabbit in Birthday has become their childhood nightmare
which is nice
in terms of fanbase
so the chance of getting a rabbit game is never 0
He seems to me as deep as Albert
both doing horrible things
both having humane sides
we will see in tpw
We already did. He seems at least a decent father
the humane side of Albert is Rose exclusive
or worse
since its made of his beloved woman and the man he hated worst
It could be mixed
ah yes Harry Potter
what so mixed was about him?
read the novels u will see
otherwise I should put a spoiler tag but that is also inapproperiate towards this channel
so I will possibly dm u
Here's an idea I'd like to reflect on
What if Mr. Deer was researching the lake for Owl?
where did this come from
I like this idea. At least it seems pretty logical that Owl at least used them for his purpose. It is not the first time the guest visit the hotel, it seems like a sort of “base” for their studies. So it makes sense that there was a form of collaboration between them
At least from Deer's plan being approved with the hotel stamp
What do you think about us seeing the guests in Roots?
That was chronologically before the Hotel events
I know. I'm asking for Jack's opinion
I don't recall him being a part of that convo
true
I would also like to say, I think the obvious purpose we see is to collect the memories of the guests to form a prophesy
it is already serving for a purpose
True, but there could be a second one. Think about all the strange machines we see in the RL saga (e.g. the memory extractor in The Mill, the “computer” in Case 23, or the submarine in The Cave too), those are machines linked to memories in some way. In Hotel we see that ms. Pigeon is a sort of engineer, and she is studying some sort of machine to probably extract memories (i don’t remember the exact diagrams in her room), so it is plausible that Owl later used her work to create his own machines. Mr Deer is studying samples of the lake’s water, it makes sense that Owl later used these researches in some way.
About them being regular guests, I think so. Since Owl had his reasons to let them stay even before the “sacrifice” in 1893, this could imply that there still was a form of collaboration.
Also, about the other guests: Phesant is an actress and Rabbit a magician. They both worked in the RL theatre. Probably Owl wanted this too: Owl is somehow an intellectual, maybe he also built the theatre (him being the owner would explain why Crow is the bartender) as a way to have a sort of “intellectual spot” in the near city, having the opportunity to spread in a more subtle way the story of Rusty Lake to the public with operas and plays, first of all “the lady of the lake”.
Finally, Boar is an ambassador: for who? If we assume that the RL area is somehow a small independent nation (doesn’t matter where), and this could explain the “RL” suffix present in various codes and addresses (especially in TWD and Paradox) and the fact that there is the “Rusty Money” in TWD, we could theorize that Boar is an ambassador for the RL nation to the rest of the world. And again, having a political figure nearby could be very important to Owl, given the fact that Owl could also have a massive political influence in general in the RL state.
-
Dale's city isn't near the lake. it took Kirsten Hoorn a Plane to cover that distance
-
Mr. Boar is either an ambassador of some of asura societies, or an asura under cover among humans
-
I don't think he was explicitly useful. He doesn't seem to be willing helping anyone neither he was that close to Owl outside being his patient, according to the letter
About (1), i guess I’m missing some info. Where do you get that:
1)she took the plane
2)she lived in the same city as Dale
Just asking, I don’t remember
About (2), that is also a possibility, I can agree. I can also agree that he may not be as useful
It will be a long sequence of conclusions.
-
Dale was unable to locate the lake, so it's already distant.
-
Bob and Dale live in the same city where the theater is located.
-
The White Door is also expected to be somewhere nearby. Bob is more likely not to leave his city after his corruption and PD escape
-
during TWD ARG Kirsten visited the city her father that was working at TWD used to live. Once again, likely the same.
-
then she takes a plane and gets to the lake
So the link is somewhat like Dale-Bob-TWD-Hoorn-Kirsten
we don't know if it's a nation
I wont call it nation since it sounds wrong
because it is not legally recognised
apart from Mr Owl studied diplomacy using his spare time
jk
I guess, he thinks Rusty Lake has its own state. I probably know why
it might be in a nation but RL itself is not a nation
u can say its a supernatural region
I guess
no, I mean a legit country with laws, government and currency
like
Latveria in MARVEL
random golden coins
since Aldous has multiple jobs
I guess RL doesnt have a good economy
kinda bad investment in a hotel out of nowhere
speaking of that
we still dont know what Mr Owl is capable of
did he build everything?
did he hire others to build?
everything I meant cables, submarine and other stuff like studying psychology
Yes, “country” would be a better choice of words
but what made u think of that
I just see an asura has drug addiction and stress asking for help from an asura that owns the hotel
a place for relaxation
The client IDs in the cube locator in TWD ARG
whot
All the patients have a client ID, and the last 2 digits represent their country
E.g. Linda Kirkland ID K1946Us
I am not that familiar with arg
Every ID has the same structure: first letter of the surname, date of birth, country
yes
Robert Hill’s code, also seen in TWD, is H1931RL
Did you put it together yourself?
No, it’s both in the game and the cube locator
About the structure of the IDs? I thought it was pretty logical
I often ignore tiny details
So I guess I got it by myself
but still maybe Owl wants to conceal the identity of Robert hills in the files
I'm actually impressed
Because I still dont believe the city Dale, Bob and Laura live in belongs to a country called RL
Neither do I but that's what I used to think
That is a possibility. There is also the suffix RL in an address in the Paradox movie, but Paradox is a more “unreliable” source, if you get what I mean
But again, I would agree with you if you say that it is not reliable because of the “it’s all in Dale’s head” thing.
fine
still need something more solid to convince me
because a lake being a country is still too far
I think Rusty Lake is more of a region if anything more than just a lake and a few buildings
Remember that the republic of San Marino exists and it is an independent country, and it is literally a city. But that is assuming it is a small country, which seems not to be the case according to what @azure bay said
remember that the elective theocracy of Vatican City exists and that's, like, a big building basically
Yes, exactly
but as I said
it requires international recognition
It is still hard to believe whether Owl is capable of handling every aspect of a country
while constructing a hotel and building submarine + mental health institute
this guy has a busy life
to be fair he is, for the intents and purposes of NATO, an immortal wizard
do you think uh
lemme check something rq
You think Richard Nixon wouldn't have splurged out to get the magic bird dude some special cigars in exchange for just one of his swanky murdershadows that talk backwards on the off chance that one a those could maybe kill Leonid Brezhnev?
and yes i did research the dates, 1972, Dale's arrival at Rusty Lake bay beee
That is very shitposty, but using a CS as mass destruction weapon would be a very interesting plot point
I present all my important points as garbage, it's my thing
Never said it’s a bad thing
Anyways, I could very much see RL being an independent nation
However, if it is one, then at the very least we can be certain that it was
wait
We don't actually know which side of WW1 Leonard fought for
although the costume is apparently very similar to the Canadian auxiliary companies
so likely the Entente?
I personally bet on GB
Me too
I put my bet on EU
personally i like the idea of it being in Canada, allowing of course for the possibility of a micro-country enclaved within Canada
The only real problem I have with Canada is the year on the chapel
canadian lore?
That is my problem too
Except for that Canada is very plausible option to me
lore
thats why I think we shouldnt bother too much about the location of the lake
the lake is in your heart
aww
However the lake is also in a territory that participated in WW1
the two topic here I dislike the most are: location of the lake and Harvey's gender
not to offend anyone
harvey's gender is bird
okay new theory discussion
uh
So the merman that shows up in The Cave if you pursue the secret ending, right?
What's with that?
You mean the legged fish and "the story continues" achievement?
where is the legged fish in Cave
?
Don't tell me you didn't go achievement hunting
Well... No
I never achievement hunt too, so you're not the only one
That's a good desision if you want to get better at theorizing
Basically
I know I know
But if it's not your goal, no need to
The Cave has like, the absolutely most buckwild secret easter eggs I have personally seen outside of ARGs
The envelope?
You know that bit where you get in a sub and have to travel to stated coordinates?
The envelope
If you input the coordinates to the landmarks around RL as seen in the map provided (nothing prompts you to do this) you find three undersea beasts that each give you a part of a fourth coordinate to
like
an envelope filled with random junk
It used to be dissappoining before the CEC update
I was exploding in my seat when I found it because like, the game had just hown me there's merpeople and giant monsters within the lake and then it gave me BIG REVEAL and it was like
||a broken timepiece and a business card iirc||
been a while
But like, it was so little of such little significance that it felt like i was being mocked
its not in the achievement
what do you mean?
like
Part of the appeal of these games to me is that they're mysterious in a way that can't really be broached
And then the devs put in a super secret puzzle ending requiring you to do some wacky shenanigans to complete, and the reward was like
a broken clock, a picture of a character you have seen before, and a business card
I'll be damned if it wasn't a future game teaser
also what does those number mean
9827, did they already used it for other game easter egg?
An equivalency here would be, like, if Dark Souls had a side corridor full of brutal traps and a deadly gauntlet of enemies and your reward is a unique sword that's slightly worse than what you came in with
or outside game event such as calender or giftcard stuff
and like, then you take the sword and start running around yelling "SWORD! SWORD!" before going back to getting murdered
It wasn't solved in a satisfying way, as far as I know
is that so
Apparently on the original Flash version if you did all the steps it gave you a website so you could enter a contest for a real life painting
the unknown code we have currently is the CEC
ah
oh
It was very satisfying to me! The devs gave me wet garbage while smirking and i HUNGER for more!
its enough since back then RL wasnt as big as current
Maybe it's just me but I was hyped as hell to see all that junk. It implies a story
indeed
I was surprised that there are many easter eggs in the game
I havent done easter egg hunts on Paradise, Cave and TWD
cause they seem complicated
Some of them are very random in the way you get them. I think the best game in how it uses its achievements is Paradox
I am aware of that
Fun fact, I think I found Mr.Deer’s soul once wandering the lake in The Cave
So I assume you can find the others too?
wha
that's true, he's somewhere out there
you can see only Deer on certain coords
u guys are explorers
It was random tbh
the past within demo easteregg is also random
so I guess
many easter eggs are meant to be random
ah
About TPW, I think that if you have a maze…
thats how I found about the twd achievement
I found some of them during game play
by accident
but I didnt go back do a full achievement hunt
well u have to travel around with no hint
Yes, but it is sufficiently small that it is not frustrating
The cave is, like, 11x8x5 possible spaces or something like that
I don’t remember exactly
ah it almost becomes frustrating when u click the white door style computer for nearly 2 hours
yeah, it's tedious to explore
unless you do that in group just to have fun
I was planning to do gather a team at some point but found a better way to find such easter eggs there
Meh
Oh god
Hey
I started today the games
And
Can that shadow be the dark side of people that committed suicide?
because van Gogh had too
And I only saw that Shadow in sites that reflect image
like windows
Yes but not limited to
It's a bit deeper if we try to unite all the shadows
Through out the series
Since I get way too much ideas while listening to music:
In Paradox, we see a man hiding behind the deer skull, right? He looks so similar to Albert that I don't know if this can be considered as an accident
We also got his brain after he died, in the same way it happens in Paradox
well, it was Mr. Rabbit
he did coexist with Albert
so they are unlikely to be the same person
Talking about Dale, it's possible but a little bit far-fetched for now
I mean them being incarnations of the same creature
however many including me dislike this concept
many dislike it because they think Albert doesn't deserve to be reborn as Dale
and I just don't want Dale to be anyhow related to Vanderbooms
the RL world is already a small place
Now as i read what I said it seems really stupid
nah it seems like a valid observation.
But I agree that making Dale related might be a little too much
well, the reality usually doesn't care about our feelings
and if Albert is indeed Dale's past life, we'll know it soon enough
The Past Within seems to be about him being somehow resurrected
either Laura or William style
I'm surely gonna play the full version
So am I
relatable
I dont get why so many ppl want Albert to be Dale's past life
I don't see these people. I mostly see Albert's haters
u do
there are many among the fanbase, but the fanbase itself has been chill for months
But since we brought it up
tell me why cant Albert be Dale's past life
imagine someone just asked u that
I personally didnt study Albert and deer skull symbol that much
The current evidence we have and most commonly believe by the supporter of this theory:
- Dale's Asura form is Deer
- Brain thing that goes on in Paradox
I think I miss something but u can add
I tell that he can. I just don't want it for personal reasons
indeed but if we dislike something, we gotta use counterargument
(I dont like this idea either)
thats why I am trying to find some counterargument
so in the future
I can just throw those
I see no reason in finding those right now
tpw is the upcoming game, might be useful
and it has a great potential to decisively put any discussion to an end
in this situation I prefer to sit tight and assess
to wait for the evidence
especially when they are so close
I see
so
btw
I dont remember
where is the correlation between Dale and moth
Is it in paradox
I think it's rather symbolic
Like a moth trying to reach the light, Dale goes for enlightenment
is that its only appearance?
did it appear in paradox?
I know it appeared in tpw
or at least in the poster
but I didnt catch the reference thats why I ask
Maybe Albert is also going for it
thats why
or Crow took his tests from TWD
that's actually a good point
tpw just add some extra context to Dale which i dunno if I am happy to see
it's too early to tell
I want to confess
My feelings about Albert=Dale theory are rather mixed
on one hand, yes, I hate Dale being Vanderboom in any way
but on the other, I want Albert's redemption and also to feel smart for predicting it
more and more sort of evidence
I just checked the walkthrough of chp2 again
apart from the moth
he dipped his brain in the jar like Albert
we will see in the near future
its actually very near
I just watched paradox
walkthrough
ah yes
butterfly
appeared next to deer head Dale
and what does the hanged Dale mean
if he decided to save Laura, he will hang himself?
Probably a version of Dale who has not been able to escape his mind and got stuck for who knows how long (he seems to be an older Dale), and he finally surrenders and kills himself
but I think he will and have to make up a decision after all, its one way or another
Laura or Dale
The only thing that could contradict the “Dale is Albert’s reincarnation” theory is that we know that DAle’s parents exists. Laura has only Rose as a parent, because she was born in a ritual. Having both parents could be a sign that Dale is born in a natural way
Maybe a version of him never made a choice, and ended up like that
still debatable since he hang himself is clearly his decision?
its not he passed out in coma forever
this involves samsara
You say that it would not have been a forced reincarnation? Something spontaneous?
Naturally, if u die, u reincarnate to the next life, and depends on your performance of the previous year, u will be promoting to a higher stage or stay in the same stage, if u did something bad, u may devolve to the previous stage. I think thats how karma works
I think in Albert's case
he dies in a natural way
not in a sacrifice or ritual reincarnation
But then what would be the purpose of TPW? Reincarnate in an higher stage than normal?
wdym
We don’t know how much of the samsara cycle is present in the RL universe. I mean, it is present and this is obvious. But we don’t know how strictly it is applied in the RL universe.
the CS part is definitely different
but the soul part seems to be the same
especially from past life, present life
like Mr Owl
he might be a fish
in the future
the thing is idk if karma is present or not in RL
it can also be random
Albert is trying to conduct some sort of experiment after his death. If he is going to reincarnate, and we assume that karma also exist, he would probably become something of a CS or straight to Nakara. Maybe his experiment involves trying to get his soul out of this state, like William did through the ritual.
But again, the only reincarnation we see for certain is William’s and it is a forced one. So maybe reincarnation in this universe could be something not spontaneous at all
well we will see when tpw comes out
we dont know what Albert wants tbh
I’m so curious
Eilanders
also
how do u define reincarnation
everyone has infinite past lives
its just u dont remember
in terms of samsara
therefore, technically
everyone has reincarnated
and it seems like
the ones that managed to maintain the memories are
D. Eilander, Crow and Owl
because Mr Owl refers Jakob as his past life
The point is that it is “in terms of Samsara”. How much of the Samsara culture is present in RL? That is my point.
I am keeping it as much as possible in RL
in its context
In that case, I agree with you
everyone is being reborn in one way or another. I see no problems for Albert's way being that unique
TPW is about us fixing Albert's death, according to his new year blogpost
But as you said, it is not a 1:1 interpretation (CS seem to work differently), so maybe some parts of it are not as present. Honestly, who knows
fixing one's death for me is either canceling it or forcing rebirth
ah
consuming elixir after death would also do
but these are what we already saw happening to CS
and how do we define death
not being a CS is good enough for me, if we take William's interaction with Rose seriously
I have two relevant ideas:
- the death of identity, Laura is dead is terms of her personality, just like William
- the period of soul in samsara room before reincatnation
- doesn't seem much relevant to both cases of CS
However, the first idea is weird
exactly
the CS thing doesnt work in a simple way
like Laura's CS and William's CS are different right?
in what way?
ah, I get what you mean
u get it?
I tend to think so but I'm unsure. Rabbit seemed to regain more than his previous life
just see CS as a different race that is human like
it applies
the thing about RL
thats why I say its hard to understand
listen here
theoretically
the CS should be an independent stage of the soul, however, RL decided to let it link to the human stage of the soul
additionally
the CS itself is a form of human stage memory cube
which are making things more complex
-
It shouldn't, if we address Indian mythology (or at least some schools of it)
-
CS are mostly linked to their previous lives. Not necessarily the human
but each stage usually means one life
like William is human stage and Laura is human stage
thats why this part is hard to theorise since it has some contradicitons
and its complex
I think it's exactly about memories
CS mostly preserve them on surface
or at least are connected to them
then if Laura still has William's memory
does it mean her CS could be William's CS?
Rabbit seems to be such a case
wdym
u cant say because Mr Rabbit returned from CS stage so he knows who he was?
I didn't get your question
but that because he got his memory back somehow
And Laura?
she didnt
well, Seasons are imposible without that
she didnt know who is William except the painting on the wall I guess
Crow clearly took her memories away
including those of William
If she doesn't regain them at some point, she's unable to enter them
hold up
I have a thought
in Mill
how did she sense the black cube corruption
she is okay when its been extracted
but then when its in the lake she is mad and awakened
does that mean she can sense where did her memory go?
But
not at all, her corruption was evident the moment they were taken
an example?
it should be an independent stage of the soul with no previous memory
but apparently
its not
in RL
its about soul with negative memories
but its also not that true
since in paradise
Buddhism explains ghosts with pretas
as souls that are temporarily unable to be reborn
and ghosts are usually imagined to keep personalities from before death, aren't they?
wha
emm
I actually dunno
since hungry ghost has become a nasty creature
that haunts ppl while suffering
I'm speaking of ghosts in general
the ghosts in western and eastern cultures are kinda different
in western culture u can say its soul but decided to stay that haunts in human world
obviously with previous memory
Rusty Lake is a western product
its interesting
And I see Caroline, William, the guests and Laura
since the idea of ghost
is often translated differently by the western ppl
but yea thats kinda off topic
what
Their CS preserve or regain their past personalities
funny enough even Laura with her memories detached takes her human for back in The Cave
CS is an independent stage
its not apparently
its depending on the previous life
its like human + asura in a negative mood
yeah, neither asura seems to be independent at least in some cases
I thought the case of Eilander might prove the evidence
but yea I guess thats what devs are intended to tell us
the stages are related to each other
that is based on the human stage
As a guy from Reddit noticed, some Buddhism schools are not about complete rebirths but rather evolution of the individual
yep
it is
spiritually
thats when karma is involved
if u behave good u evolved
if u naughty u suffer
it's still the same person even though their body was gradually (or not so gradually) replaced.
or is it the same?
good question
which one of the ships is Theseus'
yea
I think its not
our memories
are not key to the past
I would rather not be deva if I dont have memory
this convo must have happened so many times
the argument maybe but not the entire convo
always has been
even when you exchange the same arguments over and over with an opponent as stubborn as yourself you may see new elements of both opposing perspectives
is this a compliment qwq
are we opposing one another?
i just noticed something in paradise, what does "her" in here mean? like the lake has a gender or what?
ye I suppose the "sentient lake" or whatever it is IN THE LAKE they worship is seemingly referred to as her.
probably hmmmm
I think it's more like
Vehicles being female, yknow
points at car "she's a beau!"
Places are also female
Prolly caroline since you get memories of her from the lake
But you do the opposite
you offer the memories
and they float around just like thousands before them
I dont think so, because Caroline is already dead by then, which means that there is no point bringing her up in this case.
plus
Caroline's memory isnt in the lake
it was distributed around the island
At that point they were mostly there
oh yea
I just realised that
but I dont think Nikolas knows
personally i consider the island and every other place by the lake part of the lke itself, but ok
because Caroline said dont let them have her memory or something similar
I dont remember
and i dont see any other option than nick refering to carol at that scene
fair enough but in the case of memory, it has to be in the lake water I think for it to consum (?)
I think its like Damy and Lynn said
perhaps its in a metaphorical way
or personification
I'd agree that by "her true self" Nikolas means the lake itself
Damy, do you normally talk to NoFlavor?
I want to know 2 things
If grandpa is Crow and what does Crow feel towards Laura
And I hope NoFlavor is able to give at least some answer if she's interested in the plot
I've never discussed the plots of the games in depth with her before, I'd suggest just DMing her yourself but that's me.
She won't bite, I think.
Alright, I'll try

hey only one way to find out!
Theory based entirely off of the Cube Escape Collection:
Rusty Lake Hotel is a long-standing building next to the titular Rusty Lake that houses many members of a family that have access to an elixir and can turn into furries anthropomorphic creatures. One night a bunch of corrupted souls escaped and fucking killed Harvey who was living there, and he turned into a sentient bird and began living with Laura Vanderboom. After breaking up with Bob supposedly, and after hearing that Bob killed himself (presumedly), Laura killed herself.
is this a theory or narration of the plot
more or less the plot
well u got most of it right
oh damn
or timeline

Even though the sentence is extremely long
that gives me a stroke
sorry.
reassuring
not necessarily wrong
where do u think they have access to elixir
also u only played CEC right?
yes. And paradox
aight
I am surprised that without playing Hotel and Paradise
u understood some of it
I am impressed
thx
The only info i had relating to the elixir and Harvey fucking dying was from CE: Birthday and CE: Cave
so i'll try and get Rusty lake Hotel and Paradise
and also roots
i'm in too deep
also
Harvey and break up with Bob has no connection
Harvey has been there
for a while
aight
I am impressed
and no
the last one
is confirmed to be wrong
u got other way round
the white door gives more context of Bob
Is the immortal dog used to the human flesh since he eats Mary's placenta, and this is why we gave him a human arm in Cave?
i'd assume so
well I think the dog belongs to carnivore
so it should eat any type of flesh
I agree, the dog doesn't really looks like it cares about whatever type of meat it eats lol
he doesnt look like he cares what he eats
EAT
“Okay”
something like that
Yes
anywho: what do you want to eat
dog: positive
Puts dale in bowl
Dale:
Now hang on a minute
Yes
same ideias
dog: man?, woman?, bug,? crow? , dont now, dont care
currupted soul from the deeps of the lake ? FOOD
dog, the world eater
wait does it have a name?
Lol
Eater of me and you
the eater
Yes
eater of all of us
anywhere, anytime
Yes
what the dog doin ?
We’re all doomed
fook
the dog is the creator of the lake
The dog is the lake
Soon to be fact in rusty lakes next game
mat pat shoud make a game theory os the rusty lake
The whole games just gonna be an endless running challenge from that dog
L
not the right crow, but at least a crow
the crow just chilling, until the eater arrives
Aww, what a sweetie.
Lol
the universe where the eater isnt there,... yet
everybody gangsta until the eater arrives
this dog isnt the eater
the eater has a devastating hunger, one that can never be fuffiled, one that can never end
Hm, but that is a good question.
What is the dog doing right now?
something more like thar
i think he is just chilling in the cave
Man he must be starving in there still.
Remember he’s lake and also the cave and he’s also the crow and Harvey and…….
Dies
And now he’s me
Now hang on a second
i think that he eated the book and stuf that were yhere
or just eated somenones currupted souls, that was wandering by ther e
Dog just eating whatever is available I guess.
Rip that bat.
No the dog 🐶 came for him
RIP

Lol same
so he is here, and he may be there
he is here, he is there, he is everywhere, is your favorite psycic friend the dog
but he is very real
@upbeat scarab @tender niche please go over the server #✅|rules, #🤔|theories is not the place for whatever conversation this was.
CE the cave... platos allegory of the cave?
at least in the trailer. I have no idea what it would mean lore-wise
Yes... maybe I'm going to deep 😅
you aren't, the Plato allegory was definitely in mind
Ive had some pretty far our ideas so far lol
so you haven't seen the trailer?
An old man is about to enter a mysterious Cave. A familiar guest needs your help before you descend deeper and deeper into Rusty Lake.

Oh thanks, will check it out
Wait, does it contain game spoilers.. like.. im still on part 1
maybe a glimpse of nest levels. Nothing too revealing. It's just 30 seconds long
Have you activated this mural yet?
Ah wow! Just watched and yeah it kind of alludes to it...
Yep just passed it not long ago
I was kinda thinking his higher self
whose?
Like the guys...
The guy you have to walk through the shadows
But I am still very new to this game
continue your journey :з
Will do :) ty
I just saw how its got to be a different guy
Will keep playing
And i have a small idea of who
yeah?
Yeah it might be too obvious lol... but im not sure of his role in the big picture
what games did you play so far?
These ones today, plus the mill
Also roots, samsara and paradise
You would think I have some idea of the story 😅
If you want to understand everything by yourself, I can suggest 2 walkthrough orders
the official one that keeps a lot of mystery before giving answers
Yeah i think ive been playing in a weird order
and my personal one that explains everything better
Oh cool, would love to hear
I started white door ages ago but it got pretty puzzling so i put it down.
White Door my beloved
official order:
- Seasons
- The Lake
- Arles
- Harvey's Box
- Case 23
- The Mill
- Hotel
- Birthday
- Theatre
- Roots
- The Cave
- Paradise
- Paradox
- The White Door
- Samsara Room
- upcoming The Past Within
Woowws yeah I played samsara first
I started my journey with Paradox so no worries
Ahh im yet to play that one
but I dunno how it affects the lore discussion
Yeah I didnt no there were trailers till just before, @nowherecaw showed me cave one
comprehensive order:
- Spring of Seasons
- The Lake
- Harvey's Box
- The rest of Seasons
- 2 chapters of Case 23
- The Mill
- The rest of Case 23
- Hotel
- Birthday secret scene (you can watch it on Youtube)
- Arles
- Roots
- Samsara Room
- (The Past Within?)
- Paradise
- Paradox
- Paradox movie (optional)
- Secret ending of Paradox ch2
- The Cave
- Birthday
- Theatre
- The White Door
since trailers are mostly interpretation before the game comes out
technically we should refer it gamewise
thats too much
and mess
it can be used as a replay order
but not first time
Ahh okay... so maybe the designers released them out of order on purpose
to keep mystery
Lol
comprehensive order light:
- The Lake
- Seasons
- Harvey's Box
- Case 23
- The Mill
- Hotel
- Arles
- Roots
- Samsara Room
- (The Past Within?)
- Paradise
- Paradox
- The Cave
- Birthday
- Theatre
- The White Door
this is the one I would recommend
Actually yeah. From what ive seen with white door... i can see how it is later on
I put it in the end because it relies on Theatre
indeed
and I have my reasons to put Theatre that far in the end
however, some ppl include myself play birthday and theatre first before paradox
its not in lore order but it gives me enlightenment
Yeah I was planning on this
Twas love at first sight. I love puzzle game, point and click games, and detective mysteries, so Rusty Lake quickly became one of my top five borderline obsessions
I did otherwise to make clear the chronology
ye it depends on hjow you fill them in. are they flashbacks Primarily and should they be played as Dale views them in his elevator ride up
Its an amazing game so far guys. I love the whole escape room vibe
or do you just shove em in in there chronoligically

true
But the fact its got a story.. a mysterious storyline is intriguing
but its just nice (for me) to see the previous games appear in newer games
its like all going together
Thank u caw
that's legit
u're welcome
Thanks everyone... excited bout this journey and going to focus on story instead of just puzzles
both both
Both is good
Yep :)
is there a lot about the lake in the white door ? or is just bob and laura ?
let me see if it is too much in reais
its the expensivest game of the franchise
like
paradox is 10 reais
this one is 20
do you think its worth it ?
absolutely.
ok
but please do forward these general question to #🩸|general-chat next time, your initial question was fine haha but we've strayed far from theorising really quickly
ofc np
so talking about theors. Do the colors of the cubes means diferent things ?
yep
basically speaking
white = good memories
black = bad memories
blue = helps changing memories/the past
golden = it seems to grant eternal life/enlightenment
so the mill takes out good memorys ? levaving only the bad memorys curruping the soul ?
the mill takes memories, period
it can extract any kind of memory, laura got corrupted bc aldous messed up with her cubes (i never remember the details in that letter)
I wouldnt say messed up, its probably risky and Aldous is unlucky I guess
Owl's letter:"extracting painful memory could cause corruption of the body"
I like the word "Could"
I have a question
During the plague 9 of Paradise we see a huge group of people on the prophecy picture
Supposedly Eilanders' predecessors
And they all would likely sacrifice their firstborn during the day of the lake to get enlightenment
Which means being reborn as asura (some call them hybrids)
But how did the cult survive for so long?
Why didn't they all get enlightenment at once?
