I generally queue up alone and it's fun. It's definitely more fun if you join a squad that actually works together, so bringing friends (or find new ones!) can only make it better.

The game is definitely designed around small unit tactics being a thing.

The most fun I have had in game is playing with a good squad even with randoms. If you join a squad and no one is communicating or playing together, leave and find a new one.

A lot were in the closed beta, and I think a good amount will in full release. I haven’t played too much of the open beta so far but I’ve found people talking. I think it’s just a bit rarer right now as it’s an open beta and just anyone can download and play.

I wouldn’t worry too much when the game comes out and people have had to put money down for it, as I believe it will be more like the closed beta with people who are more interested in the game and more willing to communicate.

Sooo... I make the supply truck take a dump beginning of game and build 3 nodes directly at spawn (they cost 50 each?) And then that's that?

yes, that's about how it works. Only thing is you can't drop supplies from a supply truck in the first two squares, so you have to drive 400m from spawn first

Anyone have experience with a casual group that is more than capable of moving as a unit and being effective on the field, but has enough humor to rock out to random silly tunes in a troop transport? I would assume it does. I use manual bolting and haven't had the issue yet. Unfortunately, when using a sniper you still have to leave ADS (RMB), cycle the bolt (LMB), then enter ADS again (RMB). Not sure if this is faster than ADSing twice, which would be four clicks (leave ADS > enter ADS > leave ADS automatic bolt > enter ADS shoot)

manual bolting doesn't offer any advantages like it did in RO2, but I still use it out of habit

Artillery cannot destroy garrisons or OPs. Bomb runs can destroy garrisons but I think OPs are immune. Grenades destroy OPs but not garrisons. Tank shells can destroy both OPs and garrisons. Explosions in HLL are delightfully unpredictable when it comes to destruction of things.

Is there something wrong in terms of ping in this game? All the servers I join jumps from 30 - 102 (EU based) and a lot of people have higher than 70 - 90 ping. Is this to be expected? Maybe my new ISP sucks, but it is strange that so many others also appear to have high ping on the scoreboard (but no one says anything about it)?

yeah i did notice today , that during early morning hours HLL is very busy and then it slows down during the afternoon and then evening hours its busy again untill midnight then it dies out untill the americans come online (central european time)

so seems to me there are a lot of asian timezone players 🤔 or a lot of westcoast americans timezone 🤔

but yeah i usually can't play in the morning 😄 so i never see the servercount at that moment normally

if you're having trouble joining a server btw...
then a general tip is to join servers with 50 - 70 players, whichever community server has good ping for you and accepts foreign languages

servers with that playercount are usually either getting started up for the day again or switching maps so you get a fresh round 😉

and the foreign languages thing is cuz some servers demand you speak their language 🤷‍♂️ like some russian, german and french servers e.g.

I’ve been playing the PS5 Beta this weekend and I can safely say it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. The graphics, controls, sounds and atmosphere are so so good. There is very little difference from one weapon type to another

recoil control is very easy

if i had to summarize it after 1300 hrs... its a 90 minute round that often ends in 40-50 minutes because one side pushes through..

automatic guns
upto 75 meters kills with max 4 shots

semi automatic guns
upto 125 meters kills with max 2 shots

bolt action guns
upto 150 meters kils with max 1 shot

• bullet penetration doesn't work properly yet, but will someday ™️
  edit; oops pressed enter.

• warfare mode is domination gamemode in every other game. get people in the capzone and win.

• offensive mode is linear domination gamemode.. meaning one side can only lose points the other can only gain points by overruning them

• tanks get stopped by mapbugs like wooden poles and 'forgotten' walls

• anti tank class gets 2 rockets atm on both sides (axis/allied) and at rifle with no scope on russian side

• the game is good if you have a team of teamplayers. if everybody goes out for their own gain, which is common to happen amongst gamers, then it kinda sucks.

• the maps are great but lack proper lighting in some of them and objects in others

• graphic settings on epic show an awesome graphical game. there is no discussion point on this.

• the devs are currently tweaking the game for performance, and Level of Detail (LOD) issues are present making things look ugly sometimes.

• i can reasonably (average of 55 fps) play the game on these systemspecs:
  a 4-core 4-thread cpu at 2.6ghz iirc.
  16 gb ddr3 1600+ mhz
  rx580 8gb armor
  SSD - game and windows installed alongside eachother

overall this game is cool. but it has a lot of arguments for needing to be better (gunplay, bulletpenetration, realism). thats the nicest and clearest way i can put it i think.

I think the AT gun is pretty realistic. IRL they weren't great either, they weren't meant to really destroy tanks just disable and/or force retreats. which you can do in game too

Assault or Spotter, but in different ways. Anything with an SMG will do it though. Like, if you like the MP40/Grease Gun play a bunch of support. You can be useful by dropping supplies and incredibly aggressive with the SMG you're given at Lvl 3

I just saw a video on the open beta for PS5 and there is a tab in the main menu with a "T17" friends. Is this like Warzone for example where you can directly join the server where your friends from a another platform are playing? Just wondering because most cross platform games don't have that option and you can only group up with friends from your platform. as you will get to know the maps and usual patterns of enemy movements in them, you will get better visibly. #hard-beginnings

Right, the Summer Warefare DLC requires you to be a Level 7 in whichever role to use it.

It's not bad depending on what you were doing. Honestly when I was level 4, every Kill felt like a huge victory. In case you don't know, you can see your k/d ratio by hitting "personal stats" in the bottom left of the scoreboard
