Check windows audio devices. Sometimes with headsets, it doesn't know which is the input (mic) or output (headphones) as it's labelled as one device at times.

Set the correct ones to default devices in windows device manager, windows volume mixer for HLL, and double check the input device in-game as well.

I need some help. I cant get into hell let loose. i updated the game for the new update and everytime i double click the HLL icon, its doesn't start up. Then i go to the epic games launcher and look in my library and it says that the game is running. i got to my task manager and go to HLL and see that its a part of my backround processes. I click end task and it says access denied. i cant shut down the game or play it. I shut down my whole computer and restarted it and went back to epic games to launch it again then i look in my library, and again, its says "running". I go back to my task manager and the same problem is happening. Does anyone know what to do? I even searched it up on the internet and still couldn't find much info.

When you press the key to speak, look if some sound waves appear on the left bottom corner on the screen, if you see the waves but not your name it means the game doesn't pick any sound, and probably you have a wrong mic selected if your mic is malfunctioning.
If you don't see any waves it means you aren't connected to VOIP, and you need to reconnect from the sound options panel.

Nodes without Supply Truck - "aka Solo Nodes"

Be the first to get down a set of nodes within 5 minutes. Here's how it is done:

• Simply select the Support Class
• Place supply box at HQ area and redeploy
• Switch to Engineer (loadout 1), place all 3 node blueprints with the wrench
• Partially build the Munitions and Fuel node (over half-way). Completely build the Manpower Node and then redeploy
• Switch to Support Class and place 2nd supply box down. Complete either fuel or munitions node
• Wait for approx 2.5 mins and complete last node once supply box is ready

There you have it... solo nodes in 5 minutes!

It does sound like a major pain, but the only other thing I can think of to diagnose the issue is to try with any other mic and see if that works

At least then you can isolate the issue to the mic, but if all other mics also don't work, then, at this point, you can kind of rule it off on the game and your pc's interactions

I am noob to this game and it’s giving me PTSD. Come from years of COD and this is so different, really struggling, I can go a whole game not see any enemy and die multiple times. So frustrating but is addictive. Playing like you'd play CoD is the ideal way to send you back to the spawn menu without achieving anything

Getting more kills in HLL for most people is about increasing their engagements. So many people going 20-20 and happy with their 1 K/D, when they could be increasing the pressure they put onto the enemy, dying more but also getting more kills, taking more space etc.

Sure, slow down at first as you're learning the maps but honestly you'll impact the game far more if you actually press W more, after you've learned how people will move through the map

Playing the objectives, seeking out enemy OP’s and Garri’s, outflanking rather than head on assaults etc., that’s what adds to the fun.

Yeah, getting hit from nowhere can be frustrating, but use cover, move slower, listen to the environment, and (dare I say) let some enemies go by you without engaging. (Crazy I know) but when you see a bunch of dudes run out, there’s a Garrison or OP spawn nearby, so let them run. And go destroy that thing! 😆

You've got it I think - definitely enjoy what you've been learning so far and keep it up!

One of the main things in the game is choosing the right class when you start. This is to avoid additional responsibilities the game poses on particular roles (i.e. engineer, squad lead or commander)

Rifleman or medic are great starters and help you quickly become familiar with the flow/mechanics of the game

There are also resources available in the community to help you along the way - but I would say the more you know about the game - the more frustrating it can become.

Make sure you enjoy the immersion of being a new player! Good luck

You should take the game a bit slower maybe. Also think of where YOU hide or take cover, THEY would do the same.

Some good first advice would be to slow down, look at your map, listen for sounds, and start actively asking yourself where enemies might be. The big trick to seeing enemies is about anticipating for them.

Copy. Small hint, I don't play HLL, so I can't give you any advices for classes, someone else has to do that.

Anyway, compared to those games, you die A LOT faster here. Furthermore, often you won't even see the enemy/where you got shot from. Contrary to CoD and Battlefield, you don't regenerate health automatically and most weapons kill you in one shot. To counter that:
-move more slowly
-avoid running in the open
-check your perimeters before moving
-memorise weapon sounds so you can HEAR where your enemy is and where your buddies are
-TALK to team mates; it is highly recommended to talk to your team mates

Try to get some kills, but don't "lone wolf", stay close to your team mates and the objective. Try to push or defend together with team mates.

Rifleman is basically a bullet sponge. You either attack the next point or stay and defend the previous one. If you get a good team and squad you can play as part of tank support just helping the tanks by watching their rear from AT and satchels

1. Combat effectiveness - Kills, destroyed OP's, destroyed garries, destroyed vehicles essentially. Might be some other minor things that give score, but that's the main gist of it.
2. Offensive score - Score based off time spent in red-zone.
3. Defensive score - Score based off time spent in blue-zone.
4. Support score - Based off of: supplies dropped, ammo dropped, friendlies spawning on your OP, placing OP, placing garry, building stuff, nodes generating resource and now with the latest update, marking enemies or doing supression against them.

SL is Squadleader for a infantry squad and can talk in Command chat and place a spawn point(outpost) for your squad. And a Garrison for the whole team with Supplies.

Nodes gives your team resources like Manpower, fuel and ammunition. This can be used by the Commander to spawn tanks, drop supplies and bombs on the battlefield.

the ground is your friend, standing gets you killed wayy more often than if you were just prone in the same spot. every little rock/pile of debris/tiny little human sized bump in the land can and will save you. need to have the patience to literally crawl 50-100m to safety considering one life can literally change the course of an entire battle

although dont get me wrong, sometimes you do need to stand but those are situational. like finding a good peek onto the battlefield cuz youre standing on a box inside, that lets you see over a tall broken wall kinda thing

No it doesn't happen to commanders that get to the final point of the game within the first 30 minutes, it doesn't happen to commanders with weeks of experience, it doesn't happen to other people who have mics and actively use them to communicate and try their best to win, it happens to me, you know why, because God forbid a low level wants to learn the commander role and now all of a sudden I'm banned from the server I was in too

And it's funny too, I did everything I described, I gave comms, dropped supplies, stayed on point, called in tanks and bombing runs and recon, countered their offensives with the people who had mics, and then when the lobby is full, these high levels come up to me like I never played a video game in my life let alone he'll let loose. Now I thought that level 55 would be considered a high enough level by most people for them to be like, "hey maybe this dude is actually trying his best" but instead I was treated like I "set my team up to fail purposely"

It happens sometimes. You will get a wide range of matches clearly weighed one way more than the other... Or a small weigh one way... Or frankly a back and forth (which is my favorite!)

Be sure to use your microphone and communicate. See an outpost or garrison with a ! on map? Call it out. Means enemies over there. Ping any time to see enemy people, vehicles, tanks, or air drop. Call out those recon planes - enemy knows where you are!

I’d recommend cutting SFX volume instead, you can’t go over 50 on the numbers or it adds bad distortion I keep mine really low at 10% but you’d probably be immersed at 20% and tactical at 30%

No problem! Seeding is populating the server, so more people join.

Sometimes seeding gives VIP in community servers (VIP giving you quicker access over regular queues)

It also usually has restricted rules, ie only fight over mid point, no tanks, etc etc

Sort of a work around… but you can play via streaming service (boosteroid or geforce now) on your console. You will need a steam or epic account and HLL with them. Then you can play HLL on your console with your pc friends. So technically you are playing on a pc, but on your console.

U will die alot out of nowhere, it just takes time to develop gameawareness. Winning duels is 2 parts awareness/positioning one part aim

Yeah sometimes I just blink for a second then die right after that, it's scary at some points when I cant see anybody but I hear gun noise everywhere

The two main things that will allow you to really do well is to be very conscious of your surroundings (have strong patience, move slowly) and have the ability to read the map (which there are numerous tutorials for on youtube but does require some practice and getting to the know the maps).
