Every server has comms enabled. If no one is talking it’s a local issue on your machine, or nobody is choosing to talk

Playing as SL is a good way to check because command chat ALWAYS has yappers on community servers

Machine gun is a beast for suppressing fire that your team can use to advance on the point.
Set up further away and trust pings from your squadmates.

Also lots of times deffenders run trucks of various kinds to create back line garries or bring supplies to some specific point to build stuff with.

Setting up correctly as MG gives you free real estate to blow up those trucks using the machine gun you're given, thus racking up a lot of score and helping quite a bit as well.

You can do a bunch of stuff.
You can attack from the front and just get kills or do supression through smokes, you can flank around and destroy trucks from the back and lock it down so they can't get to the point or out-flank your flank garrison (which you should always have as an attacker in offensive), lock down entire sectors (squares I mean) of the map from a good vantage point.

It's all map, gamemode and situation dependant

You cannot place explosives (satchels and mines) in the HQ sectors (the two rows closest to HQ)

I believe when you try to place mines it explicitly says so

For satchels apparently not then, just a generic "nuh-uh" message

Only when the enemy last point is active can you build & place things in their HQs. However, even when it is active there's also an invisible protective box in the spot that vehicles spawn to prevent building & placing things inside that would otherwise block them from spawning

So you'd have to place the satchel or mines on the ground in front of or next to the vehicle as close as it will let you

I would always recommend setting Foliage to low in video settings. You are just handicapping yourself by rendering extra foliage the enemy likely won't see.

Other than that, you can try fiddling with anti aliasing presets and possibly apply some screen sharpening using external tools (like Nvidia Control Panel) but at that point you start entering territory where you're implicitly making your game look worse.

Look, if you crank your graphics to max, turn on motion blur, etc it's no surprise you can't see anyone.

The game will still look fine if you reduce foliage quality.

Oh boy, I just came out of my best game yet. A defensive win that went down to the last point. I have to tell you, joining a squad that communicates and had a good SL is what makes this game so good. Pick yourself a squad and if they don't talk, get out of there! Find a squad that talks and has a strategy. We found spawns, flanked enemies as they came in, camped the point when needed, pushed out to find garrys and OPs when needed - this game is infinitely better when you work in a squad that communicates. I got 24 kills which is my best yet, some headshots. And flanking is just the best, look at the map and figure out where the enemies are coming in from and hit them from the side, pick them off while they run from left to right. I got promoted to level 4 rifleman and rank 34 now, and this game is really starting to click for me.

start with support and give your supplies every 5 minutes to any officer that might need it for a garry. if your own SL doesn't talk, you should bug another officer in local. then observe the map and how the garries you helped build affect everything. it might even be a negative effect if people flock to your far-away garrison when they should be going to defend instead, but this is an important lesson for everyone too.

Its not impossible also with how little visual feedback bullets seem to have you might have had a company firing at you and just not know. But most of the rifles are pinpoint out to about 300m so its well within what the sights are capable of and people can just get lucky

I went 33 and 3 and won that round last night. My average shot was around 200m and 9 of the 33 kills were headshots. I was using the M1 while on Xbox. I wish this was K&m compatible because I'd do even better

hello hello, new player here. i was gonna try to grind assault enough to get a shotgun but frontline combat is just abhorrently unfun for me and led to dropping the game for a while. i've just learned of artillery, and have decided to commit myself to learning it. naturally, i have questions.
i've figured out how to ping for distance and eyeball the mills, but the traversal is what's tripping me up; how on earth do i know if i have an appropriate fire angle?

Essentially the angle is part of the mils to meters thing. You can tell because longer distances force the gun to aim lower visually. Not sure it that makes sense lol

I believe you're talking about combat effectiveness.

It shows score corresponding to certain amount of enemies killed, vehicles destroyed, outposts destroyed, garrisons destroyed and nodes destroyed.

You hear hitmarker sounds just like if you were to perform a body shot with a normal weapon of any kind.
But in any case, in the bottom left of the scoreboard you can check personal stats as well to see stuff like kills and deaths. They're not super important, but it's useful to know if you got a(or any) kill(s) as arty.
Or to know if your bombing run as commander took out any garries (if you happened to miss the message on screen).

Sadly by default in a vanilla server you are unable to access any kind if match history.
Not sure about consoles, but many pc servers run a sort of plugin (if you can call it that, no clue) that saves match histories and you can later view it online or via a discord bot.

There it has a full breakdown of games and some other nice things to see like a kill/death/assist etc. leaderboard and what not.

There is sometimes a chance that the squads get made in a way where you have some people left over and unable to join anything, but it's not a big deal.
You don't need to swap servers each time you don't have a squad to join.
It's just that under ideal circumstances you want to be in a already-led squad with someone who's not an idiot and then freely explore whilst shooting and asking questions inbetween.
At a later point you can pick up SL yourself, so you can do at least the basic stuff if it happens to be the case that there's nothing else to join.

It's trajectory is too straight. There's not enough drop. It just goes out of the map till it hits the borders and gets removed.

Probably don't have the channel selected to be added in the left for whatever reason. Just go to "Channels & Roles" in the top left of the channel list and find the #pc-divisions-recruitment, make sure there's a checkbox next to it.

Alternatively you can do Ctrl+T and look for the channel name to travel directly to it

For anyone new. The default controls are pretty terrible on console. A veteran helped me with the settings and then I tweaked it to something where I can get somewhat consistent headshots. Give it a try.

Well yes, but to make it role-play it whould be quite a challange. First you need to rent a server then you whould have to get administrators to help moderate. But the hardest part is to get players that want to roleplay

Node build and switch is a method often used to grind up assault class, AT class etc. a bit quicker

Yeah, it's a little bit of a sacrifice at the start of each round. But that passive xp goes a long way!

There is a way to make solo nodes in about 5 minutes - even without a supply truck. It's good to have this under your sleeve

If you do it every match. Every second counts

There is also achilles heel shots

Just ask to join one you like the look of. They all want recruits.

If you really want to join a big one look at seasonal or apl tournament discords for clan lists.

Hello, new to this game from the epicgames gift. My microphones gives no sound to other player, nobody hear me. It work in EVERY game, just not this one. No VPN, VOIP disconnected/reconnected, reset windows audio settings...
