Hey just wanted to ask a question. I just tried the sniper for the first time and got 57 kills but wasn’t behind the enemy lines for like 3/4 of the time. Is it still viable to defend from the front and just stay behind enemy’s for the whole time?

Absolutely, where ever you think you'd be most effective for the team, especially if you have a good spotter that's building OP's and on top of how the match is going the blue and red lines are just colors at point haha

Go engineer at the beginning of matches and place down a set of nodes before switching to any other class and it gives you more xp for those other classes over time as the match goes on

you have the least responsibility as a rifleman aswell, ask your peers what you should be doing and learn that way

support is a bit more simple but he's more or less a pocket pussy for the squad leaders, you dont learn too much as a support

I’m brand new, played for a few hours. I was fiddling with an artillery piece when this random guy showed up and told me very aggressively in local chat that he wanted me to shoot him. I was like huh? And then he shot me. Then revived me. Then bandaged me. And then did it all over again. Numerous times. At which point I just quit the game. Wtf was that about?

If I were to have a guess, you misheard him and he was telling ("commanding") you to stop firing the artillery gun because it wastes team resources. To ensure he wouldn't get kicked for excessive teamkilling, he would only down you and then revive you so that it wouldn't count as a teamkill.

In my experience being near Arty very frequently, you do not normally get a cat like that. Before getting on Arty though it is good to check the munitions amount(get to the map, look at I believe the top left where the box icon is). If it is at least above 200 you are reasonably safe to pop shots, I do not personally fire much lower than that(150 cut off 100 absolute lowest) unless the situation demands its priority. The commandant should have deference with resources and should be followed if he wishes for the guns to cease.

If you want to learn and possibly get some live practice, helping an Arty person reload is always an option or just being in an Arty near one active on the line. Not all are willing to talk and shoot, but those of us who do may field questions while we work.

Ideally, artillery outside of an actual Arty squad would be a squad member or two in communication with their squad lead, who would be on the ground and talking with command. They would flag critical points and the commandant sometimes might raise a flag as well. It oftentimes is a solo op of that kind of arrangement though.

Some folks are averse to newbies, but that may be due to being predisposed to newbies not being genuine. Moreso with Xbox though.

I think a big thing is arty uses munitions. Munitions are needed for bombing runs, supply drops, recon plane, strafing runs, precision strikes, etc. If there is not enough, then it's tough for command, to help, if arty is not effective.

It's not exact since it all depends on how much xp per game. The easiest each game is to build nodes as engineer then switch to rifleman. The XP from the nodes go toward rifleman.

Yeah the tip I saw was drive a supply truck just past the first two squares and drop a supply. Then build your resources back on the other side. As long as it's within 50m you're good.

In a similar vein to forcing the deletion of system32, you would eventually crash as far as my recollection goes and then your OS would need to be reinstalled. Though you in theory could put those files back to the right state in a recovery environment if all that was done was changing the extensions. It would not be worth the hassle I would think since you could also just get your data off that way and reinstall the OS.

Since medic is supossed to be a non combat class (you rarely shoot someone as medic) The LVL 3 loadout offers more support for your faction +2 smokes and a bandage box where they can resupply bandages incase you arent there!

The pistol really does the job on defending your patients tho

You wont need a mg34 to defend 1 patient the M1911 or german pistol (forgot the name) have enough mags to keep the enemy away

You should check your SSD's health at some point with SMART. Compared to HDDs, solid state drives have a finite lifespan depending on brand, size, and how many read/writes its had over time. So that could be a symptom, since I started having issues with writing to one of my SSD's before it ended up failing this year after 6 years

Hello! So i downloaded the game today via pc game pass after hearing good things about it. But i am very much confused.

Best thing to do is look up some tutorials online, I suggest soul snipers content on YouTube, he makes really good tutorials about all the basics, also don’t be afraid to ask for help, a lot of the community is usually pretty willing to help you out if you want to learn

I came from Squad. HLL is a much more forgiving experience than Squad. I still have no idea what I am doing but I've already gotten more kills than my time in Squad so thats a plus

I came from modern Squad. I tried Squad 44 when it was Post Scriptum still. Abysmally optimized, I can't run any map on low quality without constient frame drops. I've yet to have any issues with HLL.

Squad is great. My second favorite shooter behind HLL. I wouldn't even say second favorite tbh. At any point in time both games are interchangable for #1 to me.

I have about 500 hours in Squad and about 450 in HLL. I literally bought them a day apart from each other and they're about the only online games I'll play

Squad is okay. The issue is finding a good server. I feel it required a lot more communication than HLL.

My biggest issue with Squad is unless you get into a good squad, its a running sim with piss poor stamina.

You've also got to micro manage supplies and ammo a lot more. If you switch classes, unless you respawn at HQ, you will start with limited supplies at your FOB and you have to hope there is ammo there.

There is also no progression system so I don't feel like I am playing towards anything when I play.

I haven't played in a few months tho so they could have made some changes. When the did the big infantry overhaul, it just made it worse imo

I'm on the east coast so made my mileage is different but I have seven servers added to my favorites. They all have some pretty fair rules about who can and can't squad lead and SLs with no mic are not allowed.

I can say that Squad is one of the few games where I've rarely had an issue with a lack of comms which I think can 100% make or break games like it, HLL, Squad 44, etc.

Hell let loose can be what you make it, some only go and shoot good K/D gaming, some do immersive roleplay, some only play one role all the time and some switch roles throughout the game and using the games abilities to the fullest to win. Yeah, everyone play differently, the best thing is if you find friends that have the same playstyle as you and go have fun. The only thing we all agree on is probably that mics and communication is a must.

that's entirely up to your preference. My personal favourites are Support and MG so those are the 1st ones I got to LVLs X.

if you wan't to be versatile and have AT-capable stuff, I would probably go for Assault, Engineer and AT.

You don't necessary should play on point. But defense is very much necessary. Not much will change XP wise. You'll probably build more garries/fortifications but possibly also get a little less kills. If you really want to get a lot of XP you should grind for it.

Is the distance on a danger ping more accurate on map or normal

As long as you are pinging it directly, and not ping the barb wire in front or whatever, normal is accurate. Map can and cannot be because if you aren't zoomed in directly for ping, it can be inaccurate.

I just recommend a community server, not official. There are lots of good community servers, but I'd recommend a new player welcome server.

personally the only keybinds I have changed are my crouch, prone, and melee to be on the side of my mouse but if you dont have a fancy razor its not needed, all the keybinds are pretty much perfect

its cross platform so same servers mostly, games are still full of people and its easy to find a server

M&K can only be used in the menus on console to avoid unfair advantages in-game. For the same reason there's no crossplay between PC and Consoles. A server browser along with dedicated servers are coming to console in the next update. Can't speak for player numbers but on PC it's not a problem at least.
