Tbh I just want a better Stalingrad map firstly, it needs more urban warfare. Battle of Berlin is needed, Kyiv or Warsaw would be nice for the eastern front and maybe one about the Leningrad siege. For Brits, would love a Tobruk, Monte Cassino, Arnhem. Really need a Japanese theatre too, imagine HLL with Iwo Jima.

The official servers do not have any Admins and at times can be toxic. The community servers normally have server Admins and are better to play on. You just need to find one that suits you as a NEW player.

The only people who seem to get in a tizzy over it are people who want to be able to see swastika's in games media, either they want to be able to wear cosmetics including them or what have you.. For a game like Wolfenstein, that's a necessary inclusion, as the plot of the game is kill nazis, to destroy the ideology one bullet at a time. For a WW2 shooter, it serves no purpose to have swastikas around. So that's why you see the Iron Cross in its place, in HLL and many other games.

Console matchmaking isn’t as good as it could be. Best workaround is to build up your in-game friends list.

You don’t have to be best mates but it gives you options. Joining on a friend will often put you in a full and active server that matchmaking would have never found

Because you're gonna get so hung up on that being the only way to describe where a target is. Other than the point of the bearing only being relevant to where you are standing and not the guys around you, by the time you've said a number, the target is probably moved or dead already. You're better to describe locations with actual words. Number bearings are too specific. It makes sense to be used in tanks, but infantry it's pretty useless.

I typically find a server around 40 (ish) people. That's just always been the way I join. Eventually the server either fills up or falls apart.

Use the steam server browser

You can use it to only look at your favorites and it'll refresh really quickly

In steam. Go to view in the menu and then browser something like that, I'm not at a computer but you should see it

Then there's a favorites tab

You can double click a server to join it, you need HLL running in the background to do that though

You have a fixed pool of bullets the magazine count you see is an abstraction of that.

If you fire partial magazines and reload some, you can watch the mag counter tick down 1 as you fire without reloading for instance

Anytime you reload you'll always get a full one unless you don't have enough left total to fill it

How do I squad up with some players? Had the game about a month but just play with randos. Joined a unit from the #console division recruitment but now what?

Would be better asked in that units discord, but there isn’t a party system in game, you just have to coordinate it before joining. To know what team/what squad to all join etc.

Presuming you are console as you joined a console division.

There’s a party system on console so you can ‘invite’ each other to a maximum group of 6 in the lobby. It will then match make you all in the same server.

Or join people in-game.

You’ll need clanmates or friends to be added to your “T17 friend list” to do either of the above.

You don't know if they punish you or not - you get the redeploy penalty regardless, the player punishment goes towards a server tracker. But agreed on your point, the lack of awareness doesn't surprise me

There's literally a conversation chart, the rest you figure out with addition/subtraction of multiples of 4, which everyone should know by second grade. Hope that helps.

It's not multiples of 4

Every 100m difference is separated by 24 elevation

To find specific elevations for marks, you separate 10m differences by 2.4 elevation, and round the number accordingly

10m is 2, 20m is 5, 30m is 7, 40m is 10, 50m is 12 (obviously)

For anything between 50 and 100, you just add the previous milestones onto 50

Or just subtract them from the next 100m milestone
