Like I said, if they wanted to expand the map they should have shrunk it vertically and made the bridge on the right side of the map with the US and German spawns in Remagen and Erpel

Adding the bridges was just a surface level way of “helping” the map when in reality the issues of the map isn’t the bridge itself but the surrounding areas. It’s just boring dead space most of the time

I grew up on PC. Got sick of trying to keep up and upgrade to run newer games. I also grew up poor, so you can imagine. I migrated to console when I grew up and started making money, with the idea of being on a level playing field with other gamers for the first time in my life.

MnK is infinitely better for aiming and is way easier. Controller is just fine. Either can be done well with practice.

Hello, been really enjoying the game up until a sour experience yesterday. I went to join a game saw there was no squads with space, I waited a minute for some space to open up and it just didn't happen. Anyway I started a squad as a squad leader, I was asked to put up a garrison by the commander or another squad leader, I made my way to the location and said I didn't know how but give me a minute, I googled it and fumbled my way through placing one, while the other person was repeatedly asking me to do it, and telling me I am 'right on the location, just place it'. The commander told me I shouldn't be playing as a squad leader if I don't even know how to place a garrison; which yeah is fair enough, but I was forced to be squad leader, the game even kills you if you are in a squad without a leader. So yeah, what am I even meant to do in that situation.

Build garrisons and outposts. Your OP basically dictates where your infantry plays. You then just relay the info they give you to cmd chat and the info from cmd chat to your inf

Most info isn't useful though, so a good SL will know what to say and what not to say to each

Garrisons are pretty easy - if you're more than 200 metres from a garrison, build one

Outposts are pretty easy - the answer is pretty much to always build one

1. Build Garrisons (aka your own support, double drop, sometimes via truck, airdrop from commander)

2. Build Outposts (OP's) - Too close is bad, too far is also bad, different positions are better than others obviously. Have to judge when a closer, but higher risk one is better than a further and lower risk one.

3. Relay info up AND down from command (not as in commander, but as in other squads and their actions), that can be anything from tanks, to vehs, to infantry via recon plane, to which garry is up and which isn't anymore, where artillery is about to land etc. etc.

4. Often times you're the one to teach the newer guys in the squad as well.

5. Sometimes you have to put people to the wall and force them to swap classes or get a mic otherwise you kick them. <--- Not enough people do this in pub games, that's why they often suck.

If you're running for 5 minutes, then you're just not with your squad. Sounds like you'd be better off creating a new squad and making that move so you can place down better OPs

The radius from the hot zone during a flank has to be judged each and every time separately. Longer flanks obviously provide better results in terms of taking down garries, but sometimes you need a closer OP set down to get troops in for a possible cap.

The setting/plugin for forcing SL's to exist is the best thing that has happened since sliced bread.

Crap SL's place crap OP's and from there you probably have your personal experience of OP's

1 good inf squads OP at the back of a point can easily result in a cap, a very quick one at that

If they're just some inf player who only picks rifleman then their win rate is pretty irrelevant and will sit around 50%ish

If they're picking commander, SL, or TC in most games then their win rate tells you a little about them

I think the arty needing to be reloaded by cmd was a good change

And the fact that ammo nodes generate ammo for the arty gun if it's within range was also a peak idea

Now if you have a good arty squad that actually plays arty, they'll upkeep nodes often as well, which is nice

And if they're good with their shots, they don't even ask for a arty gun resupply.

Some peeps claim with a cross in hand that they're really strong, but as a pro pub enjoyer I haven't seen that be the case. Comp might be different, but in pubs it hardly noticed.

I've had only 1 or 2 times within the last 80 matches where the SPA was truly impactful against or with me.

And one of those times it was PHL and we didn't have tanks. So it just rained fire on us.

So overall, I think they're not that great. A single recon tank can just own your bum or make it hell to play it

Right now they have a bug with the MIL's being incorrect, so they're near useless, but in the last update last week, they changed the tanks and their costs.

Well, the thing is that many servers have mapVoting and the people usually avoid British and Soviet maps, myself included - Stalingrad and Smolensk are total stutterFests, that leaves just Kursk and Kharkov for the Soviets. And the British are a garbage faction with the worst kinds of weapons selection. And especially when combined with a map like Driel or El Alamein, people just don't want that and vote for some other map, usually US vs GER.

The only valid point is one that I cannot directly formulate, but essentially it's tied to the AT loadouts specifically

And it's regarding the Soviet AT consisting of the AT rifle instead of a proper launcher. Too many low levels can impact your match if they don't have proper launchers

But otherwise, most class kits as well as account level should be slow

It's long-term progression that should be earned. Just like gearing in a mmo (for example vanilla-wotlk world of warcraft)

That's one of my grievances with Arc Raiders.
The progression is so insanely fast and easy, that it completely throws out the skill tree and everything else with it.
Like you can complete a whole multi-month wipe in a week with like 2-4 hours of playtime each day. In other words, the same time most of us dedicate to a few HLL matches each day.

There's an argument to be had that there shouldn't be a lvl lock on load outs, or that high lvl load outs shouldn't provide a clear advantage.

If high lvl load outs are just plain better, and locked behind XP, you risk making the game easier for vets and harder for newbs which can harm newbie retention.

So I think the initial default loadout should be better for them.

On the other side, something like the assault. Notorious for having the dopest last loadout achievable.
The difference between the first loadout and last is noticeable, but it's not night and day. The satchel's pretty much the biggest thing, the gun is whatever. A good player will perform well with either one.
But since you need so much effort put in to reach that satchel loadout, it also naturally means that there won't be many of them around unless you're in a full like 250+ server. So their overall impact on the game is not as huge.
