So what do we think of mortars if they had mechanics similar to Arma Reforger? Two man mortar system but it's possible to solo. One man actually drops shells (gunner) while the other aims. The catch is that firing a shell moves the aim around and makes it much less accurate. If there is someone aiming, they have to correct the small movements every round for more accurate spread.

it's no longer using the PTE, you have to go to your regular HLL client and enable experimental branch in properties -> Betas

After like 2 or 3 hotfixes the game is still crashing like crazy. Hackers/cheaters are rampant. No server is safe, whether you play in HLL Official or private servers, its either you experience a crash or a hacker will DDoS the server and kick majority of the players out of the game. It was better before, a few months back, we could play 2 to 3 full games without crashing. Now, every game it just crashes. Wasted points, long queues, then crash again.

Turn AA method from standard to Community TAA, I suspect you didn't change that and that setting has depth of field enabled which makes it look blurry, They should make Community TAA as the default setting opposed to Standard for this reason. Enjoy being able to see.

I would recommend the game. You'll feel lost at first and that's OK, just talk to ask many people as you can, watch the map A LOT, and ask around here for tips. I'm sure most people would be willing to teach you.

Just a fair warning, this isn't a perfect game and there will be issues or bugs you might find, not even mentioning the crashes

I would recommend getting hll now and going through the learning curve before getting Vietnam, even if Viet was too come out in January.

There is going to be alot of experienced players that have left hll come back to try Vietnam, so it will be a pretty brutal learning curve for that game when it comes out.

But like has been said, its not a polished game and probably never will be. And I don’t know your financial situation.

The name of your killer that is, not the redeploy thing. That shouldn't be a thing at all.

I don't because it just takes way too long time to switch the branches - the game always has to re-download a portion of the game with each branch switch.

Especially when switching back to normal branch - it takes no less than around 20 minutes with a fast internet. With a slower internet, even longer.

I liked the PTE-client model more. All they had to do was to provide a way for the communities to host the servers on them, instead of making it a branch like this.

Tobruk ran so smoothly upon release, but it became laggy in the reworked version.

Legacy PHL felt much more stable also - the current draw distances are miniscule and I've seen a massive quality drop over the past 4 years across all maps. However, they lag significantly

Tobruk was a stutterfest from day 1 for me.

Like pretty much every new map since Remagen.

Driel runs alright I guess fps wise but it crashes a lot.
