This can usually happen if you have your files as "Read Only". Usually deleting %localappdata%\HLL\Saved folder and then going back into game and re-configuring everything and saving then exiting. Then you can backup the files gameusersetting.ini and input.ini elsewhere and pasting them back in if in the future you reset again. This type of thing would have to be done as well upon every release because the files could change. See if this helps.

This has always been around and was never fixed. The loadout bug was something totally different and was fixed. This usually happens due to the files becoming "Read Only" or due to crashes overall.

I've personally never seen the issue.

To be honest, I think it's something they can't fix unless they were to move everyone's files away from each person's OS like cloud based or something. I think the OS is what causes the issue and possibly tied to permissions on people's systems. The files aren't supposed to be edited either and some people mess with them and this too could cause the problem. Just my guess.

Use basic tactics and try to flank the enemy. Always be aware of your surroundings

For general EU, there are servers like 13SNC, PBS, The Circle or EXD. Oh, and a server called For Tea & Country.

The Circle has also some servers that are using minimum HLL LVL requirement where usually the quality of players & comms is better, but you won't be able to get there yet. The others provide pretty much comparable experience.

You going picking up your Thompson or MP40 and shooting at targets. After you picking up wrench 🔧 tools and going building, before your bot teammates dropping some supplies.

Oficcer says you : pick up that wrench and you should build the wrench. In German language of course if it’s German Officer, and you have subtitles.
And bot on supply truck after this short interactive cutscene riding that truck and dropping you supplies, you picking up tools and starting build.

It has one of the most simplistic gunplays in games out there in general. Point and click is all there is to it in HLL. There is no sway that would make you inaccurate before opening fire no matter the distance. Especially the rifles are like laser accurate.

btw, if you do this you need to verify your game files integrity after! after I did this even with 300 fps it felt like I was on 20 fps rubberbanding until I verified files and it found 5 corrupted that had to be re downloaded

The Saved folder is only created once you launch and set your settings. Like huk stated shouldn't make a difference. You just simply had 5 bad files in your overall install. Now it's possible but not sure that by deleting the Saved pointed out additional files that your original ones were not aware of and you sort of had a mixed version thus the reason too it wasn't saving period. Then the verify realized the 5 files were not of the proper version and downloaded them. I'm just guessing.

It's pretty much why I stated upon every release I do certain things and one being the deletion of the Saved folder. I also don't patch my files. I delete the (2) files in the pak folder and get nice fresh unpatched versions of the files. I've never once seen any of the issues people see out here.

There are like 4 or 5 level threshold servers and the rest are new player friendly. Most level thresholds are 25 or 50 which tbh really isnt that high. These servers are aimed towards more veteran players because its frankly quite awful constantly being on new player servers with 20 minute games

About dragging - would have to doublecheck, but I believe the devs said it's not possible in UE4 or something in that sense. Yet Squad for instance has had it for ages and in the same engine.

The same problem as the current SMdM town has sadly, just from the other direction - doesn't make sense we can't approach the town, the major landmark, from any direction.

The pattern of illogical dev behavior must be maintained I guess 😄 .

But to be fair to Team17 here though, this specific case falls on the Black Matter, the old devs.

Maybe the Brecourt manor and SMdM would have been better as 2 separate maps if they couldn't fit them into one well enough.

Something that the modders would easily do anyway - with having SMdM v1 and v2, they could just combine them where needed via copypaste and create new stuff where needed.

Most servers have rules about SLs must use comms and be in the servers language. Its not always enforced but if there is an admin ping it usually gets sorted. Just someone needs to take over SL
