there is something seriously wrong with the flamethrower, when you blast someone with fire at close range and they shoot you,it cancels the burn/kill on them. You can literllay see the flame go through them and doesn't damage them.

There currently is an issue with Squad 44 where you get timed out by the server because loading takes too long. This only appeared after the Iwo Jima update, and after lots of testing and stuff, devs found out that it is related to - surprise surprise - HDDs.

It's annoying because there's like a dozen things that could fix these problems that you shouldn't even have to deal with in the first place

Always delete your settings folder or reinstall the game before you do any hardware investments to try to fix it

A) That is true because suprised suprise, frontline units were prioritized in weapon distribution so instead of Springfields they were given garands and carbines. By Normandy 1944 if a frontline unit needed weapons they sure as hell didn’t get Springfields except for niche roles

B) Its limited because this game wanted to be somewhat historically accurate once upon a time and I would personally like to keep it that way. If you want to get Springfields then they genuinely may as well start adding in more prototype or weapons used in the 100’s

And where they are.

Is it nodes they need to build? Most likely in the first two columns/rows to build them (to most likely stay the whole game up).

Are they pushing offensive? They probably won't build something offensive due to the things they can build are more defensive (barricades, gates, bunkers, etc)

You can play engineer like a rifleman. At level 3, you'll have a satchel on you and be able to put that on a building, a garrison, or a tank. They can also trade off AT mines and AP mines for two smokes and two grenades at level 6 for US & Great Britain.

When we are far away from the targets, they tend to be more stationary, easier to hit and even headshot. When they are close to us, they are usually moving left and right trying to avoid being hit.

And it's easy to miss if we shoot the pistol too fast.

It's about the experience with the sights/alignment also... I got quite good with Walther, but I can't get to that same level with Luger for instance. I somehow overshoot more.

We're on Unreal Engine 4, but lots of games are on Unreal Engine 5. It's just a 3-D creation tool a lot of video games use.

that's why we don't have dragging for medic - it doesn't work in the physics of UE4.

Yo, all, will HLL ever have weapon zeroing, fire mode switching, improved physics where the Panzerschreck rockets don’t fly like balloons and grenades don’t feel like they’re from a $4 game? Are we ever going to get bayonets that can actually be attached to rifles, or a bipod for the BAR? For God’s sake, how much longer do we have to wait for such basic features? Is any of this even planned, or is the game going to stay at this poor level of development in these areas?

it would just be an additional option to make the weapons feel less cheap. The gunplay really falls short in terms of quality. Hell Let Loose has the most beautiful maps I’ve ever seen in any game — it’s truly astonishing how gorgeous it is — and yet at the same time it has the poorest shooting model and weapon feel I’ve ever experienced. Even Red Orchestra 1 had more detailed mechanics. Like, come on. And the physics? How about physical magazines instead of some imaginary pocket where all the rounds are magically stored in one place? That’s just poor.

As for bayonets, I don't think they would do that since it's not super common in WW2. Maybe in the Pacific (from my limited knowledge and a wiki page on Bayonets) but we don't have the Pacific.

It's UE4 physics, not UE5 physics, so there are some limitations.

Not really. Just relegate bolt actions and semi auto battle rifles to rifleman (as they are now) and put fire select weapons on auto rifle and other roles.

None of the weapons used by rifleman class would have fire select as is.

HLL is unique in that it lacks all the dressings that tactical shooters almost always have as a given. Fire select, zeroing for range, and bayonet attachment are just the tip of the ice berg really.

Well, there's no skill expression in tap firing.. not like anything of value would be lost if people could use fire select for the STG and ~ 5 other weapons in the game that it could be applied to.

As for ranging shots, maybe I can see reasons to push back on that. Not reasons I'd agree with, but sure, you can argue it'd make gunplay in this game that is incredibly easy as is even easier.

I stream all my matches in 4K... hence I need some more GPU power to prevent getting 100% GPU usage. I can't aim when that happens as the game starts skipping my mouse movements in game - huge problem in a shooter game.

I have 3 monitors, but I need to close everything on them if I don't want to lower the rendered in-game resolution even more... to avoid the 100% GPU usage. I noticed that when I have more stuff open (and especially stream preview), the GPU usage is a bit higher.

So I usually turn the stream preview OFF after I make an initial check.

The question is, will you be encoding the video on the CPU or GPU. If using the GPU, the PC can actually be mid-tier so long as you have a quality capture card.

You don't need to build a second gaming PC to run the stream.

If you're encoding on the GPU, you honestly don't need anything crazy. Even a second hand rig from a local deal is enough honestly. If you're encoding on the GPU, the PC Just needs to run. Then you connect a capture card, plug a display from your main rig into it, and then use OBS to capture it, and set your encoder to your GPU. 🤷‍♂️

I would honestly make it available... both to the medic and to the rifleman (+assault when/if grenade launchers will be in). It wasn't used much in combat in EU... true. But there were some. And players wanting M1 Garand (for obvious reasons) would keep the Springfield counts low in game too, despite it would be available. So I would see no problem.

I would definitely use it from time to time and as a medic fullTime for sure.

The medic got a change in XP gain in the latest patch that was released a few days back. In my subjective opinion (and objectively too I believe), the new XP gains for revivals are a huge overkill.

We get way too much XP even for doing very little. Just 14 revives and we get 1000 support points. Doable every match pretty much with no problems.

Does your class progress more based on things you do specifically in it's name/description? Like supports get more for sticking with engies and building or is it just, points are points? Stick with one class and commit war crimes?

yeah, there is a general unbalance of the classes' XP gains and this recent medic XP change made it even more visible and worse.

Some classes just don't have the means to match it on their own despite great effort.

I dropped a satchel with low timer in the building I was in, and asked for a carpet bomb on my position

Unironically had half the enemy team rushing the farmhouse and it was a devastating series of explosive events

My officer clutched so hard 😩

I would just place the satchel instead... make the bombing run to be saved for a better occasion. Especially if I would know the enemies want to get to my house I already satchelled.
