Nuking artillery and replacing it with portable mortars as an infantry class, it would still more or less be a similar experience, but would be more tactical and also would encourage teamplay (team mates with binoculars spotting and relaying information about how accurate the fire is).

it feels like everything is strategically designed to not let you put an MG where it would be most effective
its difficult enough finding a spot thats mountable, once you open fire you better not linger too long and move quick or else youll get shot... and spend another 10 minutes looking for another mountable location facing a useful direction 😂

a rifemen or auto rifleman can use any spot no problem, whereas the MG will have to pass up on a spot simply due to mounting being blocked or the opening being designed in a way where it cant be mounted
i understand now why few squads will have an MG, and if they do theyll usually have the alternate loadout which doesnt have the LMG
i just feel its a shame because laying down full auto suppressive fire really adds to the ambiance and immersion 😂

No, it's just that the maps assets weren't designed around it, that's Blackmatter. choice, going forward T17 are having to readjust all assets and such to allow for BIpods, it's why Tobruk you can actually mount on almost everything, even tables inside houses. That's what the whole Bipod thing is about.
