it's not an actual sandstorm... the most visible effect you will notice is just some VFX playing just in a 10m wide bubble around the player

but it's nowhere else

everywhere else is just a yellow fog but at some certain state it looks bad - when the fog is too thin while that dust VFX around the player is still there

Because its just not fun? Like this was propped up to be some urban shooter and yet half the time I'm fighting in a single house surrounded by an open field or fighting FOR an open field. Not to mention the game is just not what it used to be. Like I watched the stream for the roadmap and the devs said "Erm we want this game to be realistic so we wont add Moscow" Aren't games supposed to be fun??? What happen to that. Why do we have to keep getting maps about irrelevant battles in France? Why cant I be a German marching on red square already or taking Berlin? If they cared about realism they wouldn't use the same Normandy assets in the new map or maybe the would make the Kar98 bolt rest actually go where its supposed to. Ok, so from what I understand, when the P14 was ther British sniper, it had a 8x scope. When the devs did the British overhaul, they changed the rifle an Enfield and dropped the magnification down to 6x. I'm pretty sure there is a few places you can find this information like the change logs but I'm too lazy and tired right now to do it myself.

The zoom of sniper variants of Kar98K and of Enfield are still the same so if they would lower it for Enfield, then they would have done for scoped Kar98K too. You mean they did it for Kar98K as well?

I have never seen any changelog about it.... nor the devs ever discussed it to our knowledge either I believe.

You can definitely tell the difference in the firinig range. Try switching between the German and British sniper rifles. You can immediately tell the British rifle has less magnification than the German rifle and it is harder to see targets at the same range. I think the devs made this change to try and be more historically accurate without doing such a drastic change that it would upset the people who liked the 8x.

8x is still too much out of a 4x scope.

The Garman one is a true 8x but like I said, I have never seen proof that any were actually used in combat. It was a very expensive scope. Not something the German military would normally procure.

They had them but I have never seen a picture of a German sniper with one and have never heard of somebody seeing one either. In some rare instances, German snipers did have 6x scopes like Hans Allerberger who used a mauser with a 6x scope to score a 1.1 km confirmed kill, the longest of the war.

Most country's just used one scope. The exception being the Marines who used their own scopes from WW1 and WW2, plus ones they acquired from the army. The U.S. army used one scope, so did the British, the Soviets used 2 but they are both extremely similar. The Germans 90% of the time used the 4x Z39 with the rare exceptions being the 6x scopes and 4x ZF42s.

8x scopes did exist but they was very rare and expensive. It wasn't really until the 1960s that 8x scopes became common because advances in technology helped make them cheap.

That's why I personally would be OK with it.

I would personally like to see every faction be as balanced as possible in relation to the other ones but since you can't just give every German a G43, then some asymmetrical balancing is in order. The problem then comes when the Germans (who are balanced to go up against the Americans) go up against the soviets and British.

HLL is way too much standardized everywhere and it makes it not to work universally.

• 15 strongpoints don't work on the river maps
• fixed(static) loadouts don't work for the factions, nor potentially for the subfactions - they should be tied to the map, not to the faction/subfaction
• progression system vs loadout system is going against any logical choices here

• the same goes for the vehicle rosters and available cosmetics
