It really isn't anything special you really only get slightly more permissions depending on what channel you're in.

Definitely not common if it's a modded sight and/or reticle could be broken but if you have DLSS enabled, disable it and see if there's any change.

Alongside a few customization mods such as more attachments and a balaclava mod.

I’d heavily recommend getting the 3 first I mentioned if you’re looking for a more realistic experience, I can’t play without them.

Suspects can take hostages, don’t know if it’s more or less frequent but I’ve run into a few hostage situations running the mod.

I once told my AI teammates to clear the small postal room not thinking much of it while I cleared another section.

I came back to that room and my AI teammates had managed to kill both adam and the other person you’re supposed to arrest.

AI teammates can often do more damage than the suspects do to be honest.
If you’re running a delicate mission it’s best to either all give them non lethals or go solo.

I just used a negotiator and indimitador and made sure to use more than enough less lethal utility and got through the ironman campaign with no issue.

That combo seems to be stupid op, there was a solid 50-60% chance that suspects would instantly toss their guns if we managed to yell at them before they became fully aggroed

you can change your character model as one big change (skintone, face etc) and three of those choice have balaclavas. In commander mode youre stuck with base judge and no balaclava

You can play with a friend that doesn’t have mods installed, though there’s a setting you have to tick off and a few exceptions, mainly for map mods and some gameplay mods.

I’ll send you a video that explains it all and the mods I have installed shortly.

Yes, the only exception would be gunfighter mod and map mods unless your friend has them installed.

I played with someone that didn't have the gunfighter mod installed in 2023, and it made them move very slowly.
Though it may not be a thing anymore.

If that happens, have your friend install the gunfighter mod or uninstall the gunfighter mod.

Some mods don't work anymore after the DLC update that released not too long ago.
Check the pinned message in this channel to see which are likely to work, and try troubleshooting your mods by moving them all off the paks folder than individually start the game one mod at a time until you figure out which ones don't work.

@fossil parcel There are a bunch more, for the sake of time I didn’t link them all; you can find good maps by clicking on the “maps” tag and looking through them for map mods with good looking thumbnails. Those are usually the good ones, you can double check by looking through the screenshots the creator of the map has on the mod’s page.

Do any mods work for this game? any time I use the mod.io in game menu or Nexus and put the PAKs where they go I either get "Corrupted data, please validate your files" or a CTD. Theres like a handful I actually wanna use and it appears that modding this game is impossible. Reshade works at least but the preset made everything green so Im at a loss

I also highly recommend you use nexusmods and install them manually rather than using the in game mod.io you can read #❓modding-faq on nexus specific sections if you don't know how.

on that note, I downloaded the URGI M4 14.5 inch that requires the Colt Canada BCM to work and they do WORK in game but their attachment lists are incomplete, on the URG-1 M4 its optics, stocks and Muzzles and on the Colt Canada BCM its the Stocks list thats incomplete. any idea what Im missing?

Nevermind I didnt find the issue. I have all the requirements for the URGI M4 and The Colt Canada BCM and there are still entire attatchment lists that are just white boxes despite having the "load attatchments" mod

Unfortunately, that's just how it's going to be until the mod author updates their mods. The Fix Invalid Attachment Class mod requires that mod authors generate the mod data themselves in their mods; therefore, the mod doesn't fix anything if the mod author hasn't added it. But if you download the example data file for the Colt Canada BCM from The Fix Invalid Attachment Class mod, though in the optional files, I think this will fix it for the Colt Canada at least for the time being.

Theres a few that are updated these are the ones i know work. Polymer80 PFC9, M92, SIG P320 xfive legion, X12 and Desert eagle. Theres also an HK 930 that is from john wick, and G17 replacement for the G19. although idk if those work i havent tried them

I don't know if Valhalla AI has been updated, but he found a way to substitute Civilian Count into Suspect count, which is outside my domain of scripting. It was compatible for all AI mods and increased suspect count

If you play Ludicrous then that is the highest possible suspect count for each map on the base game. You can message me on Discord if you'd like me to maximize suspect count for other lower suspect files like Real, Roleplay, or Extreme Tactical as the easier difficulties

But I don't plan on doing it for my Nexus Mods page. Thanks man

Well if it's a mod issue and you have server side checksum disabled in gameplay options then this is usually prone to happen with certain addon attachments and/or addon weapons at least in my experience there's also potential for other addon mods to do this though except cosmetics. If the other players don't have the mods installed that is.

You can really only do it with the min and max focal length under camera settings and lens aside from that there is no zooming features.

If they were uploaded/updated before Dark Waters update on December 10 than they're outdated. Dark Waters changed things about the helmets therefore old cosmetic mods for them no longer function.

Mb i didnt see this till now was asleep, you can leave all the text there how it is the only thing u really gotta change if u want is the keybinds. To find the engine.ini folder that you wanna paste it to, in your files search %appdata% then you should be able to find your way to the engine folder. AppData\Local\ReadyOrNot\Saved\Config\Windows\Engine
Can open that file up and at the bottom paste the text that it tells you to, change what you want for keybinds then close and apply the settings

It’s fine if you manually install mods directly from the website. It also doesn’t cap the download speed like nexusmods. I will say the only things it’s really missing is proper file verification to scan for malware/viruses and site moderators as they choose to leave moderation to the game devs.

From my understanding it is a demanding process to modify existing maps, it isn't a simple process to just rip them out of the game files

Then you have to redo all the lighting on your own and deal with those issues, and it doesn't really matter in the end because it's not like the AI are impacted by light exposure.

of course, then again thats not removing the fact of course a modder making a map focused around it, with it being darker, not as much light, more ai in the tunnels, rather than outside of it, no civilians, just a clean house

it only had some lights in more open areas

It's hit or miss sometimes it works flawlessly for people other times it'll either just not install mods properly or the game will simply not read them. Manual installation is the best way to install mods for this game and that's all there is to it.

It may have modded content but again this is easily removed via resetting loadout preset to default and overwriting any presets if they're are any. Aside from that it's just a save file so as long as you have no mods installed in your paks folder the game won't even registered it as modded.

If you already know how to unpack/pack/edit uasset files you need go to ReadyOrNot\Content\Blueprints\Items\ArmorRevised\ArmorMaterials open AM_Ceramic.uasset and edit Durability value
To edit helmet durability and ricochet chance go to ReadyOrNot\Content\Blueprints\Items\ArmorRevised\Helmets and there will be all 3 of them

You need extract these files from PAKs first, you will find them in steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks, FModel can do this
After you extract files you needed you can edit them via UAsset GUI and then repack back to PAK

Don't know how many times I have said this on reddit. Secondly many new ppl don't seem to get it check for the most updated mods before you start adding stuff. Will save you alot of time on the back end, even though removing them doesn't take much time. I get it we all was new to this game at somepoint but using mods and not checking to make sure it is been recently updated is beyond me, that is the first thing I do.
