If you're trying to install using in game mod.io than I recommend switching to nexusmods and manually installing them that way, also make sure the mods you're installing are up to date.

And yeah I wasn't actually sure if you referenced any of his code in it, I should have put that it was more of a spiritual predecessor to the one you would come up with rather than stating it the way I did, but wourdz are hardd sometimes lol. Plus I dont ever want to take away from the work you have done. There is a lot of history that gets lost along the way in the modding scene so what little I can tell others I try to get it out there especially for the tools you guys make because without them, a lot of people wouldnt even try lol.

you need edit their InertiaDragStrafe and InertiaDragAim values, by defaults they are too high, reducing them from 1 to something like 0.05 will fix sway

Most Custom maps can really do is Possibly have patrols, and if Sus close to Civ, they grab them and use as shield.
Custom maps are much better if they have a Tactical Plan for them... scattter-maps are tough

But as of right now I don't know of a mod or a way to join someone in commander mode.
There is but you donāt want want to delete it because it also contains your high scores for maps. Instead reset your loadout to default or swap to another preset that you made before the issue that doesnāt have the mod items saved to it.

Anyone know why map mods just freeze my game and then system? Iāve made sure they work with 1.0 but still the same. The most recent map I tried is the house md map which was uploaded July 7th. When I select the map it freezes my system.
So when my entire system is completely frozen do I just wait it out? Or at that point just uninstall?

It's been a minute but there's videos walking you through. I'm pretty sure it's in the .bank file. You're going to have like 2 or 3 different versions. One being played far away, one close up.
You need to use FMOD tools to make a bank for replacement. I have not done it myself, but you likely need to make it the same in some regards to length, etc.
Yeh needs to be same length as the original. It won't play anything longer. I think it's 96 seconds long.

What you need exactly? If you want change their outfit then navigate to ReadyOrNot\Content\Blueprints\Items open itemdata.uasset and there will be TrailerCustomization section, loadout in DefaultsLoadouts named trailer

That is from early access where the cosmetic system was for the character as a whole, instead of clothing/armor items as it is now. It would have to be retooled for use with the new system (as in just the hat alone, instead of the hat being attached to the head model from the old system).
I want to use two different voice packs however they use the same naming system. Is there anyway to automatically change the number in the file name to one that is +x number?
I don't want to go through 900+ files renaming the number

Yes, but the game is still going to use the original voicelines, it's not going to swap to file1/2, may as well just use one voicepack or pick which voices you want and which you don't

First you need to learn how edit blueprints in game and unpack/repack files
For pen you need change ammo stats in ammodatatable
For damage you need edit curve damage which is used for multiple guns or create separate one so it's wont conflict with any other gun

Export whatever files you want to modify. You need to keep the .uasset plus the uexp or ubulk together, because it needs all files to work.
You will need to modify only the uasset file using UAssetGUI, and re pak it with the correct file structure when you are done.

It doesn't have confirmations of success, it just does what you tell it to do

You need to specify the correct version of UE when it asks, sometimes need to do one at a time, and the date on the file in Windows will not be correct.
Also, if you are working inside of or have part of the files going into or out of a cloud sync folder (like OneDrive) it may not work. Work entirely on local storage.
Your desktop may have been setup for OneDrive sync automatically.

The reason (most likely) you cannot ready up with Y is that you also downloaded Switch Illuminator, which overwrites the Y keybind by default (as it says on the page). Change the bind for the mod by following the instructions on the mod page.

As far as I know it has to be a BP mod in order for it to overwrite keybinds like that, and SI is the only one that I know of that uses the Y key. But perhpaps I am wrong about either of those.
Also I don't think you can change the ready up key in game, but it's been a while since I looked at the binding list.

Hey all, so I've been a supporter pretty much sense the first version of alpha, I've always wanted to make myself and my buddies a voiceline pack for the game, would anyone be able to help me with it? I have a quality Mic so I can record voicelines, I just have no clue how to turn that into a publishable mod on the nexus.
Whatever lines you want to replace go into ..\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\VO. They must be in .ogg format and be named and have the exact same file layout as the originals.
I assume you also have to match the bit rate and channels, but I'm not sure. You can use whatever software you want to accomplish this, Audacity for example.
Does anybody know why I have duplicates of mods that say disabled? I don't have permissions for images but for example "Custom Weapon Loader" is on there twice and one of them says disabled, this is the only time i've ever downloaded mods for the game and i'm not seeing duplicates in the paks folder
If you download off of nexus and mod.io at the same time it will load two instances of the mod. I donāt know how IGM behaves if you have two of the same enabled, but it should be fine if one is enabled and one disabled. If you donāt have two copies downloaded, itās just a visual bug with IGM.
It's probally just an auto generated entry based on the Pak name since the Pak name probably wasn't entered right/included on the moddata

in this instance the mod with pakchunk-999 gets loaded after pakchunk99. this is useful when you need to overwrite something or if you want a mod to have higher priority
A point of clarification: the pak files contain assets within them, and on a per asset level the last loaded asset is the one that takes priority.
So different mods can be in any order you want if none of them contain the same assets as eachother. But if they do, the order determines which takes effect for the overlapping assets.
Generally follow the mod creator's instructions for mod conficts if you don't know how to check them yourself.

I haven't specifically checked for that one, but I recall they changed the texture wrapping for the arms, plus they changed to a modular cosmetic system so I don't think there will be any way to use that mod unless the author fixes it.

In the current version the non lethals are an AR, SMG, and a shotgun, plus the taser and m320 launcher as equipment. I don't know if you are looking for the rotary launcher or the paintball launcher, but those are no longer usable in the unmodded game.

Im pretty sure Mods like that are SP only. But try opening a Friends Only match & see if that works.
You can use the console unlocker camera mod in multiplayer, but it doesn't always work. I had a buddy with the same issue, and it just seemed random. He could not use it most of the time but I could most of the time.

Itās a known issue. You can try changing the attachments around on the tpl to see if that fixes it. If not then youāll have to wait for the fix.

Some weapons/attachment mods conflict with eachother. Best way to figure it out is removing one at a time until you find which one is breaking it. Then you have to choose what you want to keep.
Download and install the mod you want by following the instructions on its page. You cannot use mod.io subscriptions to do it.

As far as I know ue4 versioned assets cannot be loaded in ue5, plus the pak algorithm is different or something like that. So broken in multiple ways, suffice to say. At least ai config mods only need repaked, unless they change the config file again.

Advanced armory has a lot of conflicts with other mods, gunfighter device can conflict with another mod that edits the equipment list (ex adding a grenade of some sort, like sniper or not devices)

There is no need for a manager, since almost every mod just goes into the paks folder. When playing with mods in multiplayer, the host needs to disable server side checksum in the settings menu.

I'm not on the dev team, so I can't say for sure, but mod.io can be used on consoles as well as PC. So it would seem that they want to stick with that so they can allow consoles to use mods as well, whenever the game does become available to consoles.
Plus they already have mod.io integration in game, so it would be more work to switch.

Follow the steps listed in #āmodding-faq-archive if the game still says itās modded in the top right corner. To fix remaining items in the loadout, reset it to default or switch to one without the items
Old mods from early access are quite unlikely to work, so when they are installed you wonāt be able to see that they are working. Only use ones released/updated from after December 13 of last year

if you want 100% support the dumper needs to support PPTH extension, which only UE4SS supports right now, but Dumper7 ones will work OK for like 99.9% of assets

you will always need mappings for using uassetgui for anything at all related to RON now
the reason is that UE5 assets don't write the name of individual fields in a class or struct anymore, they write "skip the first 5 fields in this class, then read 3 fields, then skip another 2, etc"
so uassetapi needs to know the fields of C++ classes and structs in order, which mappings provide
you will also need mappings to use fmodel, i dont know how umodel handles it

i dont know how they'd do it, i doubt they'd adopt mappings format since umodel tends to have pretty independent development

to get things set up, you'll need a currently unreleased version of uassetgui, which hopefully i will release before RON 5.3 comes out (unless it already has, i havent kept track...), but if not you can build it yourself from source just fine; then, you'll need a .usmap file (mappings file), which you can dump using one of those tools, then you can import it in uassetgui using Utils --> Import mappings... and then you can open .uasset files no problem
latest version of uassetgui will also have some .pak container support, i should add a search bar but im not super motivated it seems

Vortex just doesn't have ready or not compatibility for whatever reason, not to say you can't still use it but it's overall recommended to stick to manual downloads for ready or not mods.

Hey all, I just uploaded a temporary mod that adds some of the changes (that I can remember) to the character movement that @paper creek does with their well known Gunfighter mod. I know some of you are addicted to moving a little bit more freely than normal, so this ought to help. Go to the reshade website and download the installer
the installer should have an option to uninstall itself from Ready or Not

hey guys i download some mods then uninstalled them and basically my game has destroyed itself ill post screenshots below. I've verified the game on steam, uninstalled it and reinstalled it. just asking for help cause I'm clearly an idiot and have no idea what im doing.
