Your internet contract may be 200 Mbps but in reality it's something like 170mbps due to distance and such. Another factor is that your computer simply isn't utilizing it all because WiFi is shared between devices. You'll need to delete the files and then verify the integrity for the game to reload the defaults

Then you have to make sure you are replacing the wav files and not deleting them. It has to overwrite

Sometimes the mod doesn't have every 1 to 1 wav file in the folder, so you'll get mixed voice lines. At least this was my experience

Just a side note here for this mod cause people often get it wrong, same for attachment expansion - these mods only require you don't use the weapon/attachment while someone who does not have the mods are in the lobby, you can still freely keep these installed and use them with one group and then just swap to a vanilla gun for pub runs instead of removing it out of the pak folder each time.

If you already have a program that can open zip files than usually that same program should be able to open rar files, just right click and either look for the program in the menu that pops up or select the "Open with" option and look for the program you're using for zips there and select it and it should allow you to open/extract the file but if for some reason that doesn't work you can always just download winrar to open them.

It's set to private because it's outdated, it wouldn't work even if you had the file. New here and to pc gaming. I installed the advanced armory mod and it was working flawlessly until I loaded into a pub match. When I equipped the DD rifle that came with advanced armory all of my attachments disappeared even though showing as equipped in the loadout menu. I have gun fighter installed as well and I heard that might be the issue with the attachments.

Does anyone know how to fix this ?

Looking at some of the asset files, I see links to other files that I can find in the engine, game, etc. folders, but I can't seem to find the script folder, which is also linked to (like /Script/Engine and /Script/CoreUObject). Anyone know how to access that?

I don't see a /Source/ folder in the unpaked /Engine/ folder, so I'm assume you're talking about part of the precompiled exe. I've only tried going down that road once before, and it sucked (I gave up there). Pretty new to all this and just kinda jumped in cause a friend of mine is making a mod but didn't care to look into this bug he was having. Devs didn't seem to make the ammo check code correct and it isn't compatible with extended mags (I assume that's why/because the pmags were removed in 1.0) so I was looking for that code. Never really used Unreal before so idk if there's an easy way to do that with a pak file or if it would have to be a code edit (I can think of a few things that could theoretically work with a pak file) but whatever the case I'd need to see the code to know how to approach it.

Was just hoping someone else here had modded more on the code side of things and knew something that could help me.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we're using that MagazineAmmoIncrease and that's what's incompatible with the check ammo function. Ex. if you have a gun with 30 round mags and an option to equip 40 rounds instead (as a 30 + MagazineAmmoIncrease = 10), the ammo check icon won't start displaying below the top of the mag until you are below 30 rounds.

After finding which values are called exactly during that function through trial and error (or other fun), do you know if it's possible (this may just be "impossible" due to Unreal itself) to make that attribute of that asset (like if it's calling for the base magazine size of the default mag) either a variable set by a custom script whenever you change the equipped mag, or a function call to a custom script that returns an int?

Ive modded B4, other games... The game would read from the bottom up, so nice blue water mod (no fish) lets say, if you place it under the 'SPARKLY H2O' MOD YOU LOVE. You now have any and all trates from the blue fish people. With RON, there's a number system, Ive done alot of reading on Nex, and here too! (Love mt new game Home btw , No brn nose here) Does RON pull whats its going to be at start up from his bottom up as well?

Yeah so the WindowsNoEditor paks is the game content- no touchy. You’re correct about the naming system. The larger the number, the last it’s loaded.

For example 9994 will be loaded after 9992 which equates to a higher priority. Mods that are loaded last may overwrite ones that are loaded previously if they modify the same content

For heavy mods like advanced armory and maps everyone need download them too
Some mods like increased slots also cause problem and will crash players right after you start game

Issues i forsee with the 80m Yacht: Screen space Reflections should be necessary however they're a Huge Framerate Killer... So i guess, expect dull Facade, especially on the walkway on far-sides

That folder is in a compressed folder, you have to drag the .pak from the compressed folder to the paks folder.

You can right click the file explorer icon in your taskbar, and then click on "file explorer." This'll open up another window of file explorer.

You would need to remove weapon mods that were uploaded/updated before December 13 2023 and modify things like for example weapon names or images in the loadout screen, you shouldn't run into any issues if the weapon mod is specifically only a weapon replacer that does not include the previously mentioned changes or has any other modifications from the base gun that it's replacing aside from the model being changed.

It would more specifically be any mod that has modified the weapon blueprints prior to Dec 13.

Only clear your mod data if your intention is to remove all your mods and start fresh.

It can be but Its not my field of expertise so I wont guarantee that in this case. I make mods almost exclusively for unreal engine 4 games. Unreal 5 usnt exactlly fully comp[atible with most of our modders tools. They are working to get them working for more UE5 compatibility but lack their libraries are very different.

But in general yes, most visual and aesthetic could extract the asset and alter the color or even to an asset swap to change it to a different one of their liking

UAssetGUI is more up to date for one lol

You can think of tools like UAssetGUI aand UAssetAPI as application successors to the Asset Editor.

When we forst started modding State of Decay 2 there really wasnt anything around to help with basic game play edits like float or int vales let alone more complex mods. Everything we did was in HxD which is fine but has limitations and is difficult to teach to others. So Heilos created Asset Editor to translate the assets data into a spreadsheet style layout and allowed easy editing and string swapping withing it. Both are capable of doing almost identical edits but GUI now prob has more to it

Atenfyr was a fellow modder from one of the modding servers we were on who ended up helping him out with some of the code I believe and heilos gave him the source to alter it and use as he wanted so he created UAssetGUI . Hes a great modder with a ton of exp so I have no doubt his abilities and think he will take it further

If you also downloaded a mod that uses the Y keybind for ready up (I remember Switch Illuminator uses it iirc), then you can change that one. Otherwise you may have set the in game menu key to Y which would also cause it. Or you can change the ready up keybind for the game in general.

heilos did give me access to his source code... but i didnt reference his source code in any useful way when creating UAssetGUI... mostly because i can't read heilos's code. it's probably legitimate still to call it a successor, the layout of UAssetGUI was heavily inspired by heilos's UI back in the day, and it still has a lot of holdovers from the design of his software back then even though his tool has evolved since. there is a huge amount of shared history between the two tools. that was also almost four years ago though
