I validated my files, looked through every god damn folder to see if there were mods in it, I found nothing, no trace of any mods. I uninstalled my game and reinstalled it- still didn't work. I didn't delete my whole ass folder bc I don't wanna remove my steam cloud thing but literally nothing is getting these mods out.

hello, i havent seen this issue being addressed anywhere so im gonna ask here. i tried downloading from mod.io directly but the mod (57 gen 3 reskin) i wanted didnt load or show up in the collection (if it should), so i downloaded it manually and dragged the pak folder into the mod folder, some restarting later and it says my token has expired or has been revoked and i cant access mods anymore. i tried deleting the zip and restarting about 500 times but nothing worked. how do i fix this?

Try to check the pins to see if there's anything you could use, if all of them don't work, you may want to do a clean delete of your mods and use Nexus instead

Yo, a friend of mine just got the game and we wanted to play it together. I unsubscribed all of my mods but unfortunately, the game says that I could only join his session having the same mods installed. He didn't install or subscribed anything yet, so I must have the problem. As I said, I unsubscribed all mods at the beginning, however the main menu still says ''Modded (Checksum enabled)'' in the top right corner. I reinstalled the game and searched for help on YouTube without success.

if youve done that and can’t figure it out still, just delete the entire pak folder and then verify your game files

Does anyone know how to get rid of modded skins? I normally enable all my mods via vortex. However, wanted to test out the new mod.io integration so I enabled a few skins. I then unsubscribed from the skins, but they are still present in my game. Specifically, for the HRT uniform and one of the other variations. I have tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot. I deleted and re-installed, I deleted the steam cloud app ID, I don't see the paks in the game files at all. I believe the files must be saved somewhere else since they overwrote the default skins even when I re-installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you unpack a mod and edit it, do you need to recook it? I can't get my changes to work

I'm just trying to change a few values in an armor mod, but they don't seem to work after editing the appropriate numbers and resaving the asset files.

I can break open the pak file, and edit the values in the .uasset file no problem, but when I reconvert it back into a pak file, the entire mod ceases to work. The only thing I haven't tried yet would be cooking the files before repacking, but does anybody know if this is the missing step before I commit to making an account just to get Unreal Engine cooker

Yeah. I'm not overly moddy anyway. I'll do some SWAT skins, but I know the game will be updated fairly regularly and don't feel like chasing down broken mods.

I love looking at them and seeing what people come up with, and will even download them and try them, but ultimately unsub since there will be oddities like all the guns or sites shooting low.

It's super fun, but I'm okay with waiting for fully developed additions. Like I said, I've had too many early access games ruined by me trying to keep playing them and making them fun.

By the time it releases I'm bored with it.

Lots do. I don't remember which but it's a pretty common theme in my tinkering. Even the unlocked guns coming in the adam patch shoot low

If it's just the bullets hitting lower than the reticle then it's perfectly realistic

I suppose. Some of the mods even noted shooting low as if in error. So... I'll leave that up for the modding community to decide.

It depends on the zeroing distance

The higher the optic mount, usually, realistically, the more offset

All I'll argue is I'd rather my gun not shoot low when Adam drops and they start taking human shields.

My optic mods have 0 distance offset for that reason, not as realistic but at least people would enjoy it more
