good video, BUT... so far I haven't seen people really pushing the camera mod to its limits trying to do an innovative directing... i get it, there's the risk that it seems more of a game than a cinematic, so the best thing to do is to just slow it down... but like this all people do is tracking shots from left to right and similar. not a personal critique, just a general consideration 🙂

Don’t get me wrong—I never claim to be a great shot, have the best tactics, be the best player. I realize ‘somewhat above average’ is likely the best I’ll achieve, even if I do try to improve.

When I point out timing, I’m just pointing out timing, and asking the question of whether such timing makes sense. Does it make sense for someone aiming their weapon at a 90 degree angle from you, on the other side of a medium size room, to spot you at the edge of their peripheral vision, snap onto you, and kill you with their first shot within under 400 milliseconds, before their animation has even completed their rotation? I’ll let each person form their own opinion on that. Can it happen? Sure. But what does it tell us about the implementation of suspect AI and animation, and do we want things to stay that way?

(And for the record, I do free lean a lot around corners. The fact that I did not in this specific, 2 second clip, trimmed to provide focus on a specific topic of discussion, does not make this representative of my usual tactics. What I cropped out is the fact that I had tossed a Stinger grenade into the room just before the 2 second clip, and thus had reason to think I could move more aggressively.)
