Looking at the default AI settings (while installing the ai mod), I noticed "KickDoorMorale" has a positive value, while the other morale-affecting variables have a negative value. Is this an oversight, is KickDoor supposed to increase morale, or does KickDoor work with positive values instead of negatives for some reason?

Below is a list of some issues that have been encountered so far. We're working on locking in causes, but in the meantime is a list of some potential fixes. This list will be updated as more potential fixes come forward.

Game crashing randomly:

This issue unfortunately has a wide range of causes, many of which boil down to user software / hardware, or a combination of the two.
Below are some band aid solutions that may or may not work.

• If playing on DX12 and crashing, try switching to DX11.
• Try setting any RTX settings in %localappdata% > Ready or Not > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor > GameUserSettings.ini to false, except for RTXenabled.
• Verify the game files through steam.
• Try disabling windows game mode.
• Try disabling any in-game overlays, or third party overlays.
• Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

My mic is very quiet in-game:

We have a solution which will be included in the next patch.

Loading screen stuck at 100%:

Go into %localappdata%, and delete the Ready or Not folder. This will be fixed by a future patch.

No sound is playing except menu / UI sounds:

• Verify your game files on steam.

Framerate drops / stutters:

This issue also has a wide range of causes, similar to the crashing above. We will be pushing a shader fix for certain in-game windows which cause framerate drops. Some potential solutions:

• Try disabling xbox game bar, windows game mode, or both.
• Try disabling any in-game overlays or third party overlays.
• Try disabling the 'Logitech Gaming Registry Service' in windows services.
• Try switching to DX11 or DX12.

My mouse isn’t registering clicks!:

• Set your screen mode to fullscreen.

if you use ps5 controller or newest xbox controller and its connected to your desktop/laptop it could also cause issues, they have built in mics and mess up with device manager priorities in games, though unlikely in your situation i guess

That's just how it is right now. Use the other reload method, you can cancel reload by left clicking. Also note when reloading into the chamber and putting another round in the tube, the game only counts that as one shell.

loving the game but i dont think my PC is up to snuff for it. no matter what quality settings i have everytime i get into a fire fight the game locks up for a second or two usually resulting in my death. i hope optimizations is something the devs will work on slowly over time. the game is fun but pretty much unplayable on my hardware sadly.

Make sure you're running on a fast drive. 16GB RAM is what I'd call minimum these days, dual channel so fill all your RAM slots. 970 is still decent just manage your VRAM (not talking about that 3.5gb nonsense) If you max VRAM past what your card has it's gonna tank performance.

That CPU isn't much worse than mine and the game runs fine for me. I have the 4690k. Ideal solution is just running a resource monitor like MSI Afterburner and seeing what is bottlenecking you.

Task manager and make sure it's closed, otherwise it's a long standing bug in Steam. Force closing and reopening Steam will fix it until you play another game. If it's an issue on Steam's end it will keep happening until you restart your PC.

DL speed doesn't have much to do with jitter or ping spikes. You can have fast but unstable internet.

Yeah DX has been around and will be for a while. Difference is negligible, use whatever works best for you. Nvidia tends to be alright with DX12.

Some crashes were happening where people's old drivers would crash the game in dx_12 to remedy this, we gave players the option to launch the game in dx_11 rather than having to add it to the steam launch options. Which can be tricky for those that have not done it before.

Could be a variety of things. VRAM, RAM, HDD/SSD speed. If you go past VRAM limit and the game allows that, anything not loading into that will be slower, then limited by normal RAM. HDD/SSD speed will affect streaming the textures in general to your GPU.

Well, likely whats happening is the connection from what I know works like this.

So, there's* an issue the devs acknowledged in their servers that their trying to figure out. Likely its the connection between steam and the server that it can't connect IP properly or whatever the issue may be

So restarting steam allows it to "start from new" as per say
