In my experience (not sure if it is still true after some changes they made) they don’t want to arrest suspects if the suspect is waiting to draw a pistol. That or they felt under threat (being shot at or still in combat after being shot at), even from very far away like can happen on that map. Or it’s possible they bugged out like they do a lot. You can try to tell them to search the room/area to see if that works instead of direct arrest orders.

You can check the recycle bin if you deleted it, but if the game or steam overwrote it then you are out of luck

You don’t need the same mods to play together if you disable server side checksum in the settings. But also unsubscribing from mods does not fully remove them. Follow the instructions in #❓modding-faq-archive to fully remove mods you do not want to use anymore

Known issue. The game is not actually freezing, you just have to wait until it generates the data for the level then you can play normally afterwards when you load the map.

If you are playing on a custom map in the screenshot then it is an issue that can happen on some custom maps. It's up to the map maker to fix it.

You can try to verify your files and update to the most recent version of the game and the maps if you do not have them already.

It's a bug the devs know about. The base game levels are supposed to come with premade level data but they messed up with that map somehow.

What you are experiencing is the same lockup while it generates the data that custom maps need for the first time loading.

Then go into the paks folder and delete everything that is not a windowsnoeditor 0-20 pak.

Then hit the Windows key and type %localappdata%, and delete the ReadyorNot folder.

Hey guys, a friend of mine is having massive problems playing RON. After a short time, there's a complete crash of the game every time. It's a Lenovo Legion i7 notebook with a 4070 graphics card and an i19 14900hx Intel processor. I also checked the crash logs, and it says there was a GPU crash. What could be the cause? In the Lenovo Legion settings, I've already turned off the GPU overclocking option. If you need the crash logs, I'm happy to upload them here.

okay, after reading this convo, i see that directx12 has some issues with rtx graphics cards. i'll change it to d11 and will see if it works.

Ok so, everytime that there's an update, this happens:

It verifies the files, then start re-downloading.
After downloading THE WHOLE GAME, it take a lot of time to install it

Only happens with RoN.

This happens with Steam with any game that runs on Unreal Engine. Updates will download, install, patch, then verify. This is expected behavior, not an issue.

You are not redownloading the whole game unless it specifically says you are, you are patching it. If it is redownloading then you had missing or corrupted files.

The print is after the download is over, it takes a lot of time to install the game.

Steam is suppose to Delta patch games.
However it performs file verification at first so as to validate how much it needs to download.

If each of your game updates need to redownload 90% of the game then your files are deemed corrupted or missing.
So firstly check your apps (antivirus and similar), And check your drive for errors/move the game to other drive.

If it literally takes hours to install, move the game to s faster SSD.

My RX7600’s driver keeps crashing whenever I’m on the first mission in the game. I’ve tried underclocking from 3.0 GHz clock speed, but it just made everything more unstable, and undervolting just results in the driver crash taking place sooner than expected. Weirdly enough, it stops crashing when I have the AMD overlay turned on. I don’t want to play with the overlay on my screen, so how am I supposed to play this without crashing? It’s also very weird because it’s only in this game that this happens. I’m so pissed right now! It could also be that I have 4 monitors plugged into my gpu at all times, but like I said, it only ever happens in this game.

Then the most important part is that you are disconnected for the WHOLE process

Run DDU, select GPU as the device, and then it should autoselect AMD but if it doesnt then you can do

Then run it with clean and restart, and when you reboot make sure you arent connected and run the GPU driver installer

I’ve already done that. I always use DDU, even when I’m just updating my GPU’s driver. I even switched to the AMD pro drivers, but nothing seems to work. I still get the same driver timeouts whenever I’m trying to play. I don’t think that it’s just me though. I think that everybody who’s trying to play this game on an RX 7600 is experiencing this issue. Can anyone confirm this?

Replays are OFF by default and currently the game is bugged such that the setting is not saving, so ever time you boot the game you have to set it to ON.
Potentially every game lobby change.

Besides: As usual for Unreal Engine repalys they are broken in many different ways.

Bro, I fixed it. It was caused by wallpaper engine. I was trying to render some scenes with millions of polygons in d5 engine and it crashed my gpu. I decided to uninstall wallpaper engine, thinking that it might be the issue here, and now Ready or Not won’t crash anymore.

If you are trying to do a clean reinstall, then that is not the folder. Go back one more folder and delete "Ready or Not"

For this (and other UE games) you need double the disk space of the game to update or download it. If you do not have that it will never work.

Or your antivirus is blocking the process and you need to exclude it.

Or perhaps most simply you need to clear the download cache in the steam settings and try again.

I was playing the game, when I decided to leave and call it off for the night. As soon as I quit to desktop, my cooler fan went to blast mode 10000 RPM and fan control bugged out. Enable is self explaining, +boost just override power mode to maximum performance, meaning your gpu will stays at high clock even if you cpu bound

enable+boost pretty much always better, you will get same input delay on 60fps like if you was on 120fps without reflex

For the hearing and using voice chat, make sure your headphones and microphone you want to use are selected as the default and default communication devices in your sound settings for windows, since that’s what the game will use.

The connection issues aren’t really fixable since the game is peer to peer so there will always be disconnections. I recommend playing unmodded with checksum disabled for the best possible matchmaking lobbies, since playing with mods limits your player pool

Hello people, I have a problem I'm running the game with no mods and on medium graphics with a 3080 and a pretty good pc. But, my game seems to be crashing at random loading up a mission or just randomly sitting in headquarters. I never crash in missions only the headquarters.

Mods do not go into folders inside the pak folder, with exception of a few where the author instructed to do so. Those look like VO folders that don’t belong there anyway.

The bottom two pak files look like maps, which outdated maps can cause game crashes even when not trying to play the map

I think that's not a big deal for me. I use x12 and the fps drop to 1 sometimes due to weak laptop. And it crash well and there's a picture with green font said "1 FPS" on crash log

more stable when I use dx11
