Can someone please answer this question regarding the No Helmet bug: When selecting the No Helmet option in customization for Ai teammates, it still shows their helmet on. This leads me to believe that not only are my Ai teammates now under protected due to having no helmet protection, but the risk has no reward (No Helmet on Ai cosmetically), making it a pointless cosmetic option currently until they fix this bug. Has it been fixed? Are devs aware? Do I have to download a No Helmet mod where my characters look like newborn babies because the modders can't figure out the hair? (not blaming modders for this)

There is an issue where suspect AI can open wedged doors. The only good fix is waiting for Void to patch it, but in the meantime there is a mod on Nexus that supposedly fixes it, but I have not tested it so I don't know if it works

Assuming your issue was resolved I can give you a hint as to what was happening. If you had downloaded custom maps, especially those who are not updated for 1.0 it will fuck up your audio.

I looked it up, and while I didn't find any people with that exact issue for Ready Or Not, there were people with that exact error for other games. The problem they had was the game's .exe file being run in admin mode, and another with a potentially corrupted set of binaries for the game.

For that last one you could try going into
steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64

Turn on Vsync if you have an Nvidia RTX 3080, likely a CPU problem. GPU affects graphics, not FPS.

Just to further explain how patching works on Steam for games using packaged files by using latest Hotfix patch of SCUM as an example:

60.3MB delta, patching 51GB worth of pak chunks, done in matter of few minutes.
Installing 50GB after a nMB/GB patch is not a problem per se.

SteamPipe was designed for redundancy and bandwidth throughput. It downloads the delta of each PAK chunk, then builds the remaining data around it using the existing (old) PAK chunks.
This means there is now one copy operation (you can see both Reads and Writes on my screenshot) that slows the entire process down, this operation is solely dependant on disk I/O performance.

Once the PAK chunks are built only then are these moved instead of the old ones, which is what creates this double-sized disk space requirement.
And if the game update happened on another drive (as Steam always automatically fall back to another SteamLibrary when the main one is out of space), there is now another disk-to-disk copy operation slowing the process down even further.

If it takes too long by your standards, the answer is always going to be "buy a better SSD" because that's the only thing that can help.
If it literally takes hours to install it is once again the SSD/HDD being excruciatingly slow (DRAMless SSDs get demolished by this simple process, so do 5400RPM decade old drives).
If it won't start at all, and there is no disk I/O or use time, then that's a problem that have bunch of different solutions.

Impatient users that try to forcibly terminate the process cause further problems for themselves, which is why some here had so many problems with a simple patching process.

The minimum hardware requirement is GTX960.

Yeah I just uninstalled games I wasn't playing it sped things up. I thought it was my Internet speed (which is pretty fast so it didn't make sense).

When it's in "installing" phase, the update is already downloaded on your PC and no additional network activity is being made and it's now up to your PC to install it into the existing game files.

Sadly Steam client, despite the UI changes which now show you what is truly going on, didn't really explain this to the users that do not already know the difference between download delta and installation phases.

My friends and I are trying to get S on all maps. Now we are on twisted Nerve but we can't get S because of missing evidence. We have searched the whole map more than 3 times and did the mission 5 times but we still miss 1 evidence. Switching branches on Steam does normal delta-patch (i.e. smaller update than the entire game), but the patch touched most of the files so they will reinstall on your disk.

Heyo, so I've been playing Ready or Not for a while now and I've always had an issue with my mouse. For some reason, it doesn't want to aim when I click and sometimes it doesn't want to shoot. Also I notice at times my cursor bugging out in the corners of my screen when I move my character around. So the mouse tracking seems to be an issue. I don't have this issue with any other game and my mouse doesn't have the issues with aiming and shooting with other games. Is there a way I can fix this or configure it properly? I also had to up my mouse sensitivity just to be able to aim and shoot with less issue but I still have some at times. I've tried several different mice but the issue persists so I know it's my not on my end. Two of my friends have this issue too

If you get the message about not finding a low enough ping lobby, there is not a low enough ping (<250) lobby that has a spot while in the lobby that has a matching game version (mods/no mods). You can try launching in safe mode to disable mods if you use them. Otherwise the player population is small so you may not always be able to find a open lobby.

If you get the lost connection to host message, something else is going wrong. You may have lost connection because the game is peer to peer, or the host crashed which happens too often.

Ive been trying to find a fix or something to boost my fps as i am getting very big stutters and averaging about 30-40fps with frame drops to below 10, if anyone has had this issue before and has fixed it or possible knows how to improve the fps of the game it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a peer to peer game so connection issues are unavoidable. That message appears when you get one or the host leaves/crashes (which happens often). You can try to open your NAT type (although I do not think it matters for this game) or do these steps here if you want: #💻tech-support message

Is your Power Plan set to power savings mode ?

Also, use some better tool than Nvidia Overlay to monitor your GPU.
When a game exceeds VRAM limit the performance tanks, and it usually manifests by having 100% GPU usage but at lower power draw (on RTX3070 it was around 50% power draw when that trash card ran out of VRAM), so that is a factor.
Also boost clock, power target, thermals, etc. are also going to play a role, and are easily comparable to base stats of your particular card.

yay i fixed the crashes and my pc heats up MUCH less now, basically all i did was i validated the game files, which told me that 200 were corrupted, so i validated again to fix them, and then I updated my nvidia drivers in geforce experience, and did a optional windows update in windows update(settings) to make sure i was as up to date as possible on my software. then i went in game and turned every setting WAYY down, and now all of those combined seem to have worked very well 🥳

That acheivement does not work in multiplayer. Commander or practice mode only.

For the "use only" acheivements, spawn and swap off primary immediately. Go into Properties > Betas > and where it says "supporter edition" or whatever, change it to "none". It will then prompt an update that was being blocked

returned to HQ the button works, there.

Weird stuff renders on ballistic mask goggles. Especially you can see it on yellow skin for it.

Perhaps it is a new bug. I played the club a decent number of times today and they never suicided. But I do see that the ai config file has a chance to suicide, so I suppose you are getting unlucky.

Are you letting suspects run away after them seeing you? I think that is a requirement for suicide

SteamPipe is designed for redundancy and for VPK files, so every other packaging method has some inefficiencies to it, causing the copied files to be slightly bloated.
So it copies over the old files to be updated. Which other delta-patching methods do not do.

In case of a data corruption, SteamPipe preserves the old data to restart the install process.
While other delta-patcher have to scrap the old files and that would result in much larger download when data corruption happens.

It's dumb only to those who do not understand how it works.

Also, keep in mind that user is responsible for their own best practices, such as not keeping their drives full (especially since modern SSDs use that space as SLC cache).

32GB is not enough, and by default you should not have only 30GB free disk space in your partitions at all.

RoN needs around 54-57GB (i can't remember which one is SCUM and which one is RoN).

For Steam purposes in general, take the largest game that you have, and ensure oyu have that size as your free disk space.

That is below minspec and was never supported, so no wonder it doesn't work after major overhaul of the game.

You can try your luck with running the game in DX11 and trying different GPU driver versions.

Note that if your PC was below minspec, there is nothing to fix from the dev side, whether it ran before or not.
Since it keeps beign reported almoste xclusively by users with obsolete Nvidia GPUs it's likely the DX12 or NGX feature set that triggers the black screen (or the terrible drivers).

I have looked through what it is a little bit. It sounds like it would have something to do with how it affects the AI in your gpu (Nvidia card only). Its something a bit advanced I cant put into words at the moment. I have just noticed some people in here in this channel trying it and working.

Maybe try the usual stuff before refunding if you haven't already - look on YouTube for optimisation guides including stuff in your PC settings like turning off gamebar, overlays etc, and Nvidia cpl stuff

Ensure your OS (Not just the driver) is up to date
Disable, and re-enable the mouse driver
Uninstall the mouse driver and re-install it
Plugging your mouse into a different USB port

Or if the game is still open but frozen the world generation is running and you need to wait for it to finish.

If you played in early access and subscribed to any mods from mod.io, those reinstall themselves. You need to unsubscribe and clear mod.io data in the menu, then check manually to delete the old mods which are likely causing the crash

You need to clear the steam download cache in the settings. Force close out of steam with task manager if it won't let you into the menu.
