Hey guys, ive been trying to get into the game again since 1.0 released, and to my surprise, the game runs like absolute shit now... before the 1.0 update i used to play with everything maxed out, now i cant even play lowest settings without the game stuttering when someone shoots... resetted my pc 2 days ago, so it cant be that, updated windows, graphics drivers etc etc... is somebody there to help out? thanks^^

I have an amd gpu too. Stuttering is fixed for me when I play on directx12. But my game crashes randomly after some playing. I couldn't fix it and it's driving me crazy. I have an RX 7600 and i3 12100f

If changing to directx12 doesnt work, try to install previous drivers.

hey guys. I'm having some issues with frames. I got a 5950x Ryzen 9, 32gb ram, 4090 and I'm only getting a max of 80 FPS. I've gone through settings and can't find anything that's wrong. Mate of mine is getting 144 FPS capped with lower end PC gear.

Give this a try:

Since 1.0 RoN performs poorly, the devs said urgent hotfix related to bug fixes and performance issues will be dropped. Unfortunately the hotfix didn't include that which is sad. So as of rn we all have to wait until they optimize the game properly.

Some stuff you can try to fix this issue:

• Launch with DX12
• Enable DLSS/FSR (This may cause stutter and FPS drop)
• Lower your resolution
• Lower shadow settings
• Change screen mode to windowed fullscreen
• Also you can try changing some stuff in your GPU control panel

Those make up the majority of the game that's like 55 GB of files so just verify integrity of your game files you'd be practically reinstalling the game no matter what.

Game is Not Opening/Crashing on Start

If you used the clear mod/save data option, verify your game files. It is bugged and will delete core game files.

Try launching the game in safemode. If it works, but DX11/12 do not, you have mods and need to remove them using VVV

Go to Steam\steamapps\common\ready or not\readyornot\content\paks . Delete everything that is not a windowsnoeditor 0-20 pak, and then navigate to %localappdata% > and delete readyornot. Finally, verify your game files

Update your graphics drivers and Windows

If all else fails, do a clean reinstall. If the game is installed on an external drive, try to reinstall it on an internal SSD preferably.

Well it will take a long time to load but it will load, once that nightmare is done you can play rust belt again within some time and it will be fine

But there should be no bake in mod data on rust belt, unless you use mods. And then it could be an issue with a mod you are using that is trying to differ the spawns of suspects etc

Some people try to remove mods via the ingame mod.io stuff and that doesnt work correctly, look at the pinned message if your game is saying it is modded when you think you have no mods installed.

you'll get to those missions where you and ur team will die over and over again so just dont stress about it, the only thing you lose when you replace officers are their skills if they unlocked them

The 472.12 isn’t the newest one, it’s one from 2 years ago, supposedly it’s the last version that supported something that Ready or Not needs now? Earlier ones would probably work too but that’s the newest one that works

After the 1.0 Update I was running the game 120 fps no issue, no frame drops, DirectX12, but after the latest hotfix my game seems to not only constantly jump between low and high frames on DirectX 11, 12 and Safe mode, but I also have seen a drastic increase in freezes/crashes. Both Experiences were on my latest graphics driver, only difference I can tell was the hotfix update.

Any ideas?

Since 1.0 RoN performs poorly, the devs said urgent hotfix related to bug fixes and performance issues will be dropped. Unfortunately the hotfix didn't include that which is sad. So as of rn we all have to wait until they optimize the game properly.

Some stuff you can try to fix this issue:

• Launch with DX12
• Enable DLSS/FSR (This may cause stutter and FPS drop)
• Lower your resolution
• Lower shadow settings
• Change screen mode to windowed fullscreen
• Also you can try changing some stuff in your GPU control panel

Here's the thing my guy, optimized doesn't mean "It works for me, good luck everyone", or "Skill issue". A game is properly optimized when every device with at least the min system requirements would be able to generate a stable playable FPS (these days it would be somewhere around 60). But a lot of people are complaining even the dev admit they have performance issues, so def not hardware related.

Ookay, it looks like I've finally found the cause for the wiped progress I wrote about the last week. Looks like it's tied to the game causing memory leaks, and the normally chunky pagefile.sys becomes ungodly fat (in my case it grew up to 26 GB). When the C drive fills up the game starts acting strangely and if it tries to save, the whole progress gets wiped and you get dropped into the practice mode. This persists even if the Steam folder is on a different drive. In my case manually changing the max size of pagefile.sys to 12 GB helped to keep the free space in check

Well, if it shows the name "Player" instead of your steam username and you're not in the commander mode but in training mode, probably you've got the same issue as I did. Basically, you need around 10 gigabytes of free space on your hard drive for the game to work properly. As for the progress, I'm afraid you'll have to complete the missions again

Replying to my post to mark as solved. It was my rebind of free look to my Shift key and my mouse buttons bound to my my number pad keys. Using the shift key + a number pad bound button used the toggle key option. Resolved by setting up a autohotkey script to disable my NumLock when using shift key modifier + a numpad key.

I was able to play this game for a few hours and so far I’m absolutely loving it, however recently the game has been hard crashing my computer. I would say ten minutes into playing the game my screen goes black and my case fans start blasting then the pc crashes and I have no idea why. right, got the game for the first time last night, i’ll list my specs below, fps goes from a solid 85 on high settings to literally 2 fps and spikes back up. When i shoot my fps tanks and when an enemy is shooting my fps tanks. I’ve turned down my settings all the way down to low etc, and still no good. Never had this issue personally but make sure your graphics drivers are up to date (they probably arent but it doesnt hurt to check) next step id take is verify the integrity of the game files. Oh and if youre running a soundboard or something like a voice changer that can also interfere for some reason.

Just wait, for some weird reason the game consider rust belt as a modded map and usually it will say something about baked modded map on your bottom right of your screen. If that's the case then wait, cuz it took a pretty long time for it to load for me. So yeah lol

Since 1.0 RoN performs poorly, the devs said urgent hotfix related to bug fixes and performance issues will be dropped. Unfortunately the hotfix didn't include that which is sad. So as of rn we all have to wait until they optimize the game properly.

Some stuff you can try to fix this issue:

• Launch with DX12
• Enable DLSS/FSR (This may cause stutter and FPS drop)
• Lower your resolution
• Lower shadow settings
• Change screen mode to windowed fullscreen
• Also you can try changing some stuff in your GPU control panel

So both DX11 and DX12 are graphics API. The difference between DX11 and DX12 is, DX11 is a high-level API and DX12 is low-level API. That means DX12 allow game developers to target optimization closer to hardware, reducing the overhead incurred from the API and graphics driver.

Also DX12 allow parallel compute, which means you can compute basically multiple data at once. While DX11 is like a queue you need to do one thing at a time.

DX12 also offer multiple new features such as:

• DirectX ray tracing (DXR)
• Variable rate shading (VRS)
• Mesh shaders
• Sampler feedback

Most games these days performs better with DX12. Here's a lil note if you want to be a game developer, DX12 is harder to work with than DX11 but that's not our job to think about it. 🙂

While Safe mode is simply launching the game with DX11 and no mods at all even if you have mods installed. So this is a good way to check if one or all of your mods cause the issue, if you face problems when you launch the game with DX11 or DX12 but works fine in safe mode then it's a sign to delete your mods.

The game keeps crashing on my Steam Deck. It will either lock up my Steam Deck on a loading screen forever and I have to manually shut off the deck or it will crash to desktop with no errors after about 5-10 minutes. I have no mods installed. It plays and runs fine when the game does let me into a level but that is very rare.

Things I've done in an attempt to fix the issue:

• Verify game files
• Uninstall and re-download game files
• Ran in both DX11 and DX12
• Factory reset my Steam Deck and do a fresh install of the game
• Switched proton compatibility layers to Experimental, 8.0-4, GE-Proton8-25 with no improvements
• Read through most of the suggestions on ProtonDB with no luck

Overall it's very sad to see the game in such an unoptimized buggy state. My buddy who got the game for me even has issues with it and he just built his new computer. I hear the devs have started working on another game and that worries me about the future of Ready or Not. As players, both me and my buddy don't care about content at this point, just make it run buttery smooth. Optimize and cut the fat.

Ive reinstalled GPU Drivers and the game, but no matter what the game is stuttering and getting low FPS. RTX 4060, Intel i5-13500HX in 1.0 but in the beta i was getting consistently smooth high FPS even on ultra? DirectX 12 is just a more stuttery experience? There are also no mods installed.

Try all the stuff they tell you to in the pinned comment. Then if none of that works, something that might is downgrading to a specific driver. If you have nvidia gtx then downloading the 472.12 driver worked for a couple of us

I might have found a fix, for the FPS but my game did just crash, but I was able to hold 70-90 frames, when it used to drop below 25
