Ever since the latest update, I've experienced a ton of FPS drops

Since 1.0 RoN performs poorly, the devs said urgent hotfix related to bugs fixes and performance issues will be dropped. Unfortunately the hotfix didn't include that which is disappointing. So as of rn we all have to wait until they optimize the game properly.

Some stuff you can try to fix this issue:

• Launch with DX12
• Enable DLSS/FSR (This may cause stutter and FPS drop)
• Lower your resolution
• Lower shadow settings
• Change from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen
• Also you can try changing some stuff in your GPU control panel

Nope, it helps with performance but consume more energy. If you want your PC to not sleep or sleep after certain minutes you can change it in (System > Power)

SO FOR ANYONE WHERE THE GAME JUST DOESN'T START AND CLOSES IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT EVEN A BLACKSCREEN TRY THIS:

1. Check the Screenshot "3" and navigate to steamapps -> common -> ready or not -> binaries -> Win64 and try to launch the ReadyOrNot-Win64-Shipping Exe.
2. There should be some error messages popping up about some .dlls missing which can be seen in Screenshot "2"
3. For me there were 3 .dlls missing which I manually had to download and paste it into the folder from step 1
4. Download the missing files from https://www.dll-files.com (its safe and legit) and paste them into the folder as seen in Screenshot "3"
5. Profit and enjoy the game finally starting!!

I didn't get any error of missing .dlls when I tried to launch it via Steam, so doing these steps finally helped me to launch the game again. Reinstalling and even wiping
my whole system didn't fix this shit. Somehow the files are not downloaded when downloading the game in steam

What's the difference between playing Directx 11 and Directx 12?

For example, I go from ~100 FPS to 300+ FPS

In this game I'm unsure if load zone stutters are specific to Dx12, could be just an overall issue.

Are the recommended specs on RoN's steam page accurate? From what I see it requires:
-Intel Core i5-7600K
-Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
-8GB RAM

On my computer I have:
-Intel Core i7-10700f
-Nvidia GTX 1660 Super

Yet I can't seem to be able to put the settings above medium without the game dropping below 30 FPS even when I'm in an area with low assets. Even on medium, I still encounter significant frame drops for seemingly no reason throughout my gameplay. I closed every known application on my computer that could have made a modicum of impact on my performance in order to see if I could get RoN to run well.

That's the intended usage yes, but sometimes something happens and it has to do it live. DX11, 12, and Vulkan can all precompile.

Likely the stutters are just zones loading and caching.
Just do a 360 when you spawn into station and you get the heaviest load stutter in the game.

I got massive fps drop in some maps including volt, hospital and car dealer mission. It happens on some spot only and the gpu usage drop down like crazy.
I went into the ini files and set Bounce light to False, as the bounce light setting ingame is bugged and keep turn off (but in the ini it is still set to On). After that I try the Relapse mission again and the fps is back to normal now.

For reference I lock in 170 on DX12 outside of occasional stutters when entering new areas.

Clean install

Right click the game on Steam, select manage, then select open local files. Afterwards, go back to Steam and select manage, then uninstall the game on Steam.

In file explorer, go back to just steamapps\common\ and delete Ready or Not

Hit the windows key and type %localappdata%, then delete the ReadyorNot folder

Then reinstall the game on Steam.

It's probably because your PAK files aren't updated properly or that the update is going through somehow, so by reinstalling all of the PAK files it should fix it

Maybe this, but logically saved data should be stored to steam cloud. When I look at RoN folders there's also savedGame and it's directed to steam cloud but people loss it when some sudden stuff happen like when their PC suddenly crash, when the power went out, etc.

So both DX11 and DX12 are graphics API. The difference between DX11 and DX12 is, DX11 is a high-level API and DX12 is low-level API. That means DX12 allow game developers to target optimization closer to hardware, reducing the overhead incurred from the API and graphics driver.

Also DX12 allow parallel compute, which means you can compute basically multiple data at once. While DX11 is like a queue you need to do one thing at a time.

DX12 also offer multiple new features such as:

• DirectX ray tracing (DXR)
• Variable rate shading (VRS)
• Mesh shaders
• Sampler feedback

Most games these days performs better with DX12. Here's a lil note if you want to be a game developer, DX12 is harder to work with than DX11 but that's not our job to think about it. 😛

PC specs surpass what is recommended, all settings are on low, I've reinstalled the game three times, graphics drivers are up to date and I just verified the game files. But still the game keeps crashing, DX11 will load to the menu only when my browser is closed and then crashes when I try to load a game. DX12 allows multiple data to be processed at the same time, so yea sure it will drop your FPS super low in the first few secs if the game is not properly optimized, but after that it will be smoother than DX11

DLSS would also help to improve FPS, although in some cases it would cause stutter

Although you can't really read it that way, i5 these days are better than i7 like 4 years ago. So the way you read it is i5-10400f, the first two is the type it's i5 then the next 2 is the generation so 10th gen. and the next 3 numbers are the processor number. The last letter are suffix (they don't always exist), it has different meanings but f means the CPU doesn't have integrated graphics.

neither of them are really 'important' to gameplay, its just been bugging me since release and its a pretty nice part of the game to have your character with voicelines imo

its the voicelines that play when you press F.

your characters name is 'Judge', so his lines are the judge lines. the command centre that you speak to over the radio is 'TOC' so their lines are the TOC lines

whenever i host a game in coop at some point we will experience very heavy desync between me and other players. on my screen they are fine but on their screens i am walking into a wall or not moving at all. i don't know what is causing this issue. i have tried running in safe mode, running all DX versions, uninstalling all mods/verifying files. if anyone knows a fix or the cause of the issue it would be greatly appreciated

Installed custom mods from within the game, deleted old ones manually and unsubscribed them also within the game, however I still get "Active mods have changed" after restarting, checking if there are updates and deleting old mods manually. How come? Any solution to this?

Getting really bad frame drops in this game. I have a monster PC set up. Not even Tarkov is this bad on frames for me. Try to launch in safe mode and do the exact same thing, if it works then one or all of your mods caused that

HI Everyone. I have an issue I cant sort out..... When I go in game it says its "modded" but when I go into Mods I have no mods under "system" or "User Subscriptions". I have followed a video on youtube that says to delete the contents of the PAKS folder and contents of the mod.io file and then verify file integrity. I do that - It reinstalls but I still run into the same issue. Also did a full uninstall and install.

How I can get RorN to run without showing as "modded"....? Thank in advance for any suggestions
