Hi there, my friend seems to be having issues with his game.
He says that the game often runs fine, but sometimes it just stutters and freezes.
For example, he has played the Neon Nightclub multiple times for testing (and fun) purposes, yet it runs differently each time.

The settings he usually plays Ready-Or-Not on is low for everything and slightly turned down texture resolution.
However, he tried turning Texture quality to epic, and it ran just fine as well, but it also stuttered. He seems to be stuttering with both options.

The game uses peer 2 peer, if you're experiencing lag with your friends, it's probably due to your distance + connections

If you're lagging in random lobbies, then I would check things like your firewall, VPN, restart your device/router, etc.

So here’s a weird thing. I’ve had the game for quite some time, and before, it ran perfectly on epic graphics mode. I have a relatively nice PC, nothing crazy, but it should run. However, when I launch ready or not now, the frames per second are below one even at the menu screen. I’ve tried lowering all the settings (a pain when your cursor is moving once every 5 seconds) switching between DX11 and DX12, redownloading, completely reseting all of my saved info, and I’ve now waited for 3 patches to see if any of them would fix the issue. They have not, and the game is the definition of unplayable. It’s not an issue with my PC, as it runs other games just fine. Is there any way to fix this? if not, is there a way I can seek a refund? I have the supporter edition and I haven’t been able to play for months. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers this 🙂

So load times depend on how fast data can be processed by the computer; a faster computer over all means it does every thing faster. A faster hdd/sdd means it can get to the data faster & is probably one of the bigger bottle necks

compressed files have to be uncompressed before they're used by the game so take longer to load but take less space to store

If you have a second monitor, you can move task manager to it while you play. Otherwise you would have to tab out to check

I'm using geforce now to play ready or not and everything works amazing expect for the mods. When subscribe to a mod it tells me to restart the game so I do that. Then it closes out of my session and when I get back in it does the same thing like asking telling me to restart. The base game is amazing but I want mods so someone please help

Still not working. I'll try to explain what is happening again. So like I said I'm using geforce now which I'm sure you know what that is. So open ready or not up on geforce now and go to mods. it asks what I want to connect to either mod.io or steam so I pick steam. I click subscribe on a mod and it tells me to restart. I press restart and it closes me out of my session. I open back up ready or not and then go into mods page and once it again it asks what me what I want to connect to so I pick steam then it downloads the mods I subscribed to and it tells me to restart again so I do. So it is basiccly just a loop

should I join the ready or mod and try to get some help there?

I had a desktop with pretty much you're exact specs and exact issue. Only difference is I had a 1060. Realistically in terms of performance I'm sure the devs can optimize things, which they might, but I had to recently build a new PC to play a lot of games smoothly. Including RON.

That level of hardware is just getting old at this point for newer games. Whether that's from general incompetence from devs in terms of optimization, or the tech really needs beefier hardware is going to be up to your opinion. Like I said though, I had to build a whole new PC.

I've seen that blackscreen freeze on startup as well, but it happened only when i inadvertently transferred focus to other app during the initial loading.
I've ran into another bug though. Player character can't interact with anything. Not with doors, not with perps, not with weapons lying on the ground. I have to delegate everything to the AI teammates.
I already verified the game on Steam and i already posted it in bug reports with an accompanying YT video.
This happens since i bought the game about three or four days ago. Makes the gameplay pretty awkward.

Haven't used any mods whatsoever. I just got the game.

It took me a while to realize this wasn't supposed to happen. I did the most of the first ever mission without directly opening one door. Delegated everything to AI teammates. And then 20minutes in the mission, a prompt suddenly appeared near one door and later above one random dropped weapon. Only then i realized that it's not supposed to be like that. It's weird. Later i'm gonna try to remap the key. I moved leaning from Q&E to Z&X, and i was using E to interact and Q to yell. Maybe it has something to do with the mapping. Who knows... But then again, if it was mapping issue, then it probably wouldn't EVER work. But it sometimes does.. Like once in 20 or even more situations i get the prompt and can interact with something, but most of the time i can't. Not even ziptie a perp, not even when i hold the zipties equipped.
