Hey guys, needing some help.

RoN is literally unplayable for me. the game boots fine, however when i load into a level (or the lobby if i get that far), the game locks my pc up. Looking at task manager, it appears that my GPU is not handling the game at all, however i have everything set to minimum to try and offset this issue.

I've tried clean install about 10 times, nothing seems to work.
Running a RX5600 XT (pleb i know) on windows 10.

I don't know if crackhouse was one of the first maps they created, but it absolutely feels like it's not up to snuff with the others. It runs terrible and the other maps run great.

If anyone was worried my issue with mouse inputs was because I was fullscreen windowed so my mouse was able to go off screen and therefore wasn't in the frame to have the inputs read. I solves it by switching to standard full screen but evidently there is something to be done dev side as well to prevent it being an issue at all.

I'm sure this has been an issue in the past, but whenever I load the game I'm stuck on a black screen. Here's what I've done so far.

Verified Game Files w/ and w/o mods
Updated Drivers (They were updated prior to game breaking)
Removed Mods
Reinstalled the game
Restarted my PC
Cleared unnecessary windows using Task Manager

Here's my specs:

Radeon RX 6600
Ryzen 5 5600X Processor
ASUS X370 PRO motherboard
16gb DDR
Windows 10 OS

Another note is that the game worked fine prior to installing mods from the mod page. Once I installed the mods, the game's publishers would show, and the transition
from the publishers to the main menu would freeze. At certain points, the main menu would run, but the quality would be bad, and there would be no buttons to click.
Every time, Task Manager would tell me that the program was not responding, and when I would tab out, I wouldn't be able to tab back in. If you could help, please be

Try setting to low, then back to epic, outside of that I can only recommend the steps above

HOW TO PLAY ONLINE COOP WITH MODS:

Step 1️⃣┃Go Options -> Game.

Step 2️⃣┃Scroll down until you see SERVER SIDE CHECKSUM.

Step 3️⃣┃Uncheck the box next to SERVER SIDE CHECKSUM.

⚠️ Uniform/Weapon/Attachment mods only apply to yourself and will not be visible to other players. They will see the original skins or models.

🚨 Mod maps need to be downloaded from all players individually that join the game. There is no auto-download system in Ready or Not.

Hey, I have a very specific problem. RoN runs with 45-60 FPS constantly and everything is smooth. But usually when a suspect starts to aim at me and shoot the game microlags for a short moment, making him shoot first. Is there anything that I can do against it? It's like I'm playing the game on a super-extra-hard level.
I provide system specs just in case:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 4 GB

Again, the lag only happens when the suspect start to aim and shoot.

Hey, has anyone else suffered incredibly low fps in main lobby? Everything is fine in main menu, 60 fps stable, im loading in to singleplayer lobby and its on constant 4 fps. I tried running game either on direct 11 and 12 as well as changing graphic settings and restarting pc. Then I tried to load map 213 park homes and everything is fine, back to 60 fps. I mean, aside from the bad attitude making people not want to help you, I see almost no people on here having much trouble besides basic alpha stuff... much less the one you are having.

So, if 98% percent of people aren't having the problem you are having, that means it's very local to you. Although your computer handles the game and then doesn't, "get a better computer" may be a BS answer, it still falls under something happening on YOUR computer that makes the game freak out.

So, if you truly want help, you could be posting specs, how your memory or processing looks before the lag, how it looks after the lag. Temperatures of hardware. ANYTHING besides snark.

Helping us help you could end up helping the devs find a very isolated bug like a "memory leak".

*I say that as someone who played... I think it was Star Citizen... and it kept freezing my computer. I could play other games and it would be fine. Then could play SC fine until it froze...

Ryzen 3600, radeon 5700XT, 32 gb ddr4 (either 3200 or 3400, can't remember off top of head). Game loaded on SSD.
Windows up to date, game files verified multiple times, drivers on latest stable releases.

System utilization shows a slight drop across everything when lag kicks in.
Lag is very random, can show up after 15 minutes of play, or be perfectly fine for a 4 hour session. Each time, even the menu brought up by esc and the main menu (when i manage to quit) is laggy until game is restarted, then a new clock randomly between 15 minutes and never starts again.
Minimal background processes, computer has also been stress tested using p95 and it was fine.

I also think it has to do with reliability packets when other players join, I've noticed a drop in frames week certain people join for whatever reason.

You just take off the cpu cooler, use alcohol to clean off the original thermal compound on both the cpu and cooler, reapply a pea sized dot and put the cooler back on.

I'd recommend (due to the matchmaking not being good) to just use the public server VC coop. Originally I used to play just matchmaking but then after trying COOP with other people in this discord I only play that.

@wise heath The AI have a maximum distance they can be away from you, it's not noticeable on the majority of maps (especially since you cannot order camera commands yet), but on maps like Hotel you can notice it.

So I'm having an issue when leaving a current lobby to find a new one, it seems to tether to the recent server since every search comes back with "server in progress". In other cases searching for a lobby causes it to enter a lobby screen then back to the main menu nonstop until I have to close the game with task manager. Hi! I'm trying to download map mods on the in-game browser, but the download runs for a short while, then jumps to 100% and the game requests to restart. After restart, the map still shows as "In queue" for download, it downloads a little bit more then jumps to 100% again

I have to restart the game like 100 times in order for the map to actually download and install.

Is that a known behaviour? I manually downloaded the .pak file on mod.io. How should I manually install it?

So I've tried removing the .pak folder and verified my game files, it didnt work.
I also did find the mod.io folder like you mentioned and deleted mods there but that didnt work either.
And as of the "b)" method, I've done that as well.
I'm very weirded out to why the weapon skins and other mods are still in it.

You gotta do both for it to work at the same time, mod.io works by transferring mods from the first folder to the pak folder, so only doing one or the other doesn't change much

So I tried doing it.
First I navigated to C:\Users\Public\mod.io\3791\mods and deleted all mods.
Then I went to steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks and deleted the whole folder.
I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it.
Somehow, the mods are still there.
So the weapon skins are still there and attachments too

I am trying to solve an issue i am having. My score is not saving after a game due to the game thinking i have mods installed. A message at the end of game says "mod detected: unofficial score"

I was running a few mods however, after i realized my score was not saving i deleted all mods because I want my score to update.

Here's what i have done

1. disabled and uninstalled all mods i had in vortex. Also completely deleted the mod folder and deleted Ready or not as a managed game on Vortex.

2. unsubscribed to any mods on the in game mods feature

3. accessed options to clear mod data and log out of the mod menu in game

4. completely uninstalled and re installed ready or not

5. followed instructions on one forum that said to access the game folder and delete the paks folder under D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks

   5a: This broke the game and i had to re install the game again to play

6. verified game files

All of these steps I have tried, some multiple times and the game is still saying I am using mods.

1- when you have a high latency even if its for a short period of time bullets go through the suspects and they dont get any damage.

I feel this may help, deleting it just from the app data wouldn’t work. I ended up deleting both the app data and the local app data, which fixed the issue. I don’t know if this will also need you to clear the in-game data as well. May as well try it too.

I have had this issue since at least from june. When you open the game and go into a mission, the game stutters like crazy when interacting with the first suspect. Like it's loading something for the first time. Then it doesn't really stutter till you quit and launch the game again.

Hah very weird bug, I just updated my drivers so I thought it to be some issue involving that but nope the shotgun was the problem here

Just for the sake of my own curiosity, I've opened up the game and I'm messing about with it in the lobby.
Some findings:

• The kind of grenade doesn't matter as long as it's thrown. Launchers don't do anything. The moment the grenade leaves your hand is when the bug goes away.
• Placing C2 or door wedges also make the bug go away.
• Grabbing a beverage from the coffee machine also makes the bug go away.
• You can retrigger the bug after removing it by using any of the refill boxes or by visiting the Modify Loadout menu.
• I've considered that it could have something to do with the model of the shotgun since that's a common denominator between the two affected weapon, but the first mod I found that replaces the 870 CQB literally has the bug visible in the screenshot of its mod page, so evidently it's not that:

You should try the steps, they're general steps that don't mention specific issues. Where did you check for the mod.io folder? It'll be found on your C drive in the base game, and the drive its installed on, on the test branch

I've tried this as well, Found the folder, changes the .jsons accordingly and I see that it resets your Mod.io information? It required me to log back into mod IO, however the mods that I am trying to uninstall remain installed.

@mystic ledge If you have any mods, remove them and verify the game files (delete the .pak folder if necessary)
a) Navigate to C:\Users\Public\mod.io\3791\mods and delete the folders there, then
b) Navigate to %localappdata% > ReadyorNot > Saved > Paks, delete the mods/folder, then
c) Navigate to steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks, delete the mods there. Be careful, as those are where the core game files are

Hello.

I have a glitch where a uniform mod skin is glitched in my game and i dont know how i can remove it. I never had installed any uniform mods. I reinstalled the game and got rid of all my other mods, but its still in. Someone knows how to fix this, cause its not even in my game files.

PS: Its the german SEK tan skin. But like i said, its nowhere in my gamefiles, nor have i installed this mod ingame.

With the initial release of the Mod.io integration, some user ran into complications.
Especially the removal of mods and leftover files caused some issues.
Here is a little guide that might be of help to some users:

📢 How remove mods from Mod.io that keep appearing in the game:

[01] | Unsubscribe from mod entries on Mod.io
Before deleting any files manually, make sure to unsubscribe from mod entries.
Prevents mods from downloading after manual deletion.
Can be done in the ingame menu or on the Mod.io website.

[02] | Clear the public Mod.io folder
Go to: C:\Users\Public\mod.io\3791\mods
Mark all folders and delete them.

[03] | Clear the AppData folder
Go to: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\ReadyOrNot\Saved\Paks

@cedar jolt the bug you reported is not in fact a bug. 4.6x30mm are the dimensions of the round used (therefore this tells u what round the mp7 is chambered in) rather than how many of said round u have per magazine
