Does free look really matter that much in fps games? It matters in like, war thunder because turret rotation or looking around your aircraft since you can't turn instantaneously, but in a regular fps where you can just flick as fast as you can free look does it really matter

If you can free look to them, can't you also just look and look back normally? I feel like you can just look back as fast as it takes to reset free looking, I think free leaning is way more important since you can use it to create angles where you can shoot at suspects but they can't shoot at you

I wish there was a separate gamemode for elephant where there's no rankings, probably just a clock, civilians just run to the exits of the map, and suspects just start shooting civilians indiscriminantly and your goal is just to rush to the suspects and minimize civilian death

Plus with suspect reaction time, aim and the inability for officers to just force a suspect down when stunned, taking control of rooms quickly and violently is much less favorable ingame than just like, playing it super slow and fighting from doorways
