hello, I got back into RON. i played the campaign last year, haven't finished the full game. i heard there were some changes made to PC version, like some censoring stuff.

i don't mind it that much, i noticed graphics got little weird now

yeah a couple of missions were censored only on the consoles version (for the console release earlier this year around June/July) the PC version remains uncensored.

textures and lighting especially. game looked darker and textures were much crisp IIRC

#announcements has some good updates about the game, with the most recent one being the 88th Ready or Not Development Briefing, Oct 31st, 2025, where they announced numourous things, one of the biggest announcments being the new multi-attachment update the developers are working on. Allowing you to have a flash light + your choice between IR Laser/visible laser. As well as new grips and underbarrel etc changes coming up.

This is not something that's inevitable, it was in their full control, the OG pc version wasn't perfect but it was superior in every aspect. For them to intentionally ruin it out of pure greed, they've lost all credibility in the community

Every time someone brings up the argument of greed against void, it results in that statement being thrown away from the discussion because no one can objectively prove that VOID is making greedy decisions

and messed up graphics that are progresivelly being somewhat fixed does not equal to greed.

And subjective statements (opinions) are irrelevant in this line.

Patches are being and were made to fix various issues. Unfortunately given the size of the studio and the broad volume of bugs, it is not possible to fix every single one in just few patches. Not even 3A studios that have xxxx times larger development team can do that.

The biggest problem is that people get extremely mad over their bug not being fixed. Multiple bugs that cause the game to crash or lag are going to be more important than bullet casings stuck in the air.

Which is an unfair comparison/statement. It fixes more bugs than it creates and if people have to bare with slightly annoying bugs over something that crashes your game, causes extreme lags or absolutely consistently soft locks you, then I do not see the enormous problem some people see.

THe second I realized how utterly ass the campaign was I knew the multiplayer was COOKED

You can truly tell if there was heart in a BF game depending on its campaign

4 had a good campaign and its multiplayer was amazing
1 had amazing concepts and a quite literally the most ambitious run to date for a BF game
Hardline had a buddy cop series inspired style campaign and it's multiplayer? So fucking peak

Might be a stretch but you can almost feel it in a developers game on how much they fucking love their lives depending on how much effort they put into a game
