We have different kinds of intersections in CQB, and making sure you have full coverage of potential spots to get jumped on is optimal

Let's say you have an L shaped corridor and on your left is a blind spot, you have a door open at where you're entering let's say right in front, and on the end of the L, you have to watch that angle first before entering

I can see why. I don't know about GB since I never played it, but RoN emphasizes a lot more on CQB than, let's say an open field you see so often on the island of Altis.
Furthermore, Arma is most of the time shoot-on-sight (I assume GB is the same?). RoN has rules of engagement you have to follow, which can make your surroundings rather complicated.
