On elephant if you start entry on the door to the left instead of main entrance you can usually run into the herd of students and take the suspects out in like the first minute, makes the mission way easier

I’m gonna say something controversial for the meme, it’s been on my mind lately.

Some kind of zombies mode would not fit the game’s narrative and tone at all and I hope the devs never add anything like it to the game.

Furthermore, considering our usually limited movement speed and the tight quarters of most maps, engaging a swarm of melee enemies who would require precise shots to drop would probably be a pain to play.

But the actual shooting? The ability to let loose and just pop heads of a swarm of hostile, shambling targets? I think that’d be incredible. Like a 1st-person Resident Evil.

I think you could still include normal enemies with guns, looters or bandits attempting to take advantage of the chaos. Perhaps include some updated mechanics for limb shots, like popping zombies in the knees to make them crawl and slow them down further.

Be a really fun, big mod.

There is but it’s situational :
Single file has one gun facing forward and it’s you, it’s the one you want to use whenever you’re going through tight hallways. Downside is, again, only one gun facing forward so the people behind you will struggle at taking anything in front of you. You do get rear security though.
Double file is just about the same except it’s for wider areas and you have two guns facing forward.
Diamond is the one you want to use in open areas since you have guns facing in all directions, but it’s borderline useless when you’re inside buildings.
Wedge is pretty much just all guns facing forward, it’s simple really and it’s good for assaults but I rarely find myself using it since you need a wide area for it to work properly too

and then all you do is just use single file so you are the first to engage

because using the AI in anything but breaching is a dice roll because of how poorly it handles open/dynamic spaces and the lack of control you have in open/dynamic spaces

The mission soft locked so unless you’ve tried genuinely EVERYTHING (including C2 on a nearby door) then I would just give up and try again. However maybe don’t restart it right away since you’re likely frustrated right now

But the gfx Downgrade is really odd and should be fixed swiftly as its pretty jarring for someone who has gotten accustomed to how it used to look.
