They exist in vanilla. They used to be exclusive to suspects on Carriers of the Vine before they swapped to Custom ARs and battle rifles. Now they just exist in the game files

Hilariously enough, I don't actually think rounds hit the window at all; the shield is just scripted to have a bullet hit the window after it stops a certain amount of shots.

This is painfully obvious since the bullets impacts always show up in the same places and in the same order

Not talking anything major, but they're just too accurate and able to shoot through everything with precision

For me dents appear in the shield the more bullets I block. The impacts on the glass are when they genuinely shoot the window, as sometimes they go straight for the head unlike unexperienced enemies such as the ones seen on the gas station

The bullets ALWAYS hit the glass in the exact same order; maybe its when the visor takes a shot, but it definitely feels "off"

That’s probably due to glass limitations. Pretty hard to replicate dents in glass that occur right in your face so I imagine they went minimalist when making the shield. It doesn’t bother me since I don’t use the shield often anyway

I am; the AI honestly are too accurate even on Standard tbh, but its not usually an issue there. What IS an issue is their insane recoil control, their walltracking/wallbanging tendencies and the fact that they're just as accurate regardless of if they're moving or not.

Not to mention every single AI bot uses full-auto and sprays you with bullets regardless of distance.

Yeah, I've always seen the Hand leader nerd on the second floor of that building, and the bridge only has the doubledoors to worry about at the end from that side.

In twisted nerve people with knives hide in closets and people with small SMGs and rifles hide under beds and get out and shoot you when you aren’t looking
In the carriers of the vine there’s a church in the back and they like to hide in dark spaces and under the seats
On valley of the dolls the hiding spots are very obvious
On ends of the earth only suspects can hide so I normally just spray the closets

I favor pepper spray until the enemy becomes hostile. It’s more of a prevention tool than anything because after an enemy gets mad the pepper spray makes them even more harder to deal with. Blinding a suspect with a gun just makes them shoot in all directions and by that period if you’re close enough to pepper spray then you’re 2 seconds away from meeting whatever afterlife entity you believe in
Death is almost guaranteed after they become hostile which is why pepper spray is ALWAYS the way to go. The only things I use in my loadout are pepper spray and my two lethals

I feel similarly about the taser. If I’m running solo hard mode and there’s multiple enemies in a room, the taser is an immediate surrender with a low % chance of them reengaging. It takes a suspect out of the fight immediately. Also works on those stubborn civilians who refuse to cooperate.

Great thing about it is the suspects don’t consider it a stress test, you can tase someone and their buddy won’t really react.

If you're looking at a door through another doorway, you can use the "Other Door" option to pick the further door, which is cool.

HOWEVER, if you attempt to queue ANY option, the SWATs will ALWAYS pick the closer doorway even if you selected the further doorway.
