Oh, that's unfortunate
Hey, anyone else experiencing this bug were when one half of the team is told to "execute" the other half that's with me suddenly decides to fall in with the executing team??
I've been noticing this bug for months now and it's still not fixed??

It probably wont get fixed for a good while, been in since 1.0 atleast
the command queueing is really finnicky and just sometimes doesnt work properly
if you tell only one team to execute when both are queued they kinda all freak out I've noticed
it seems to depend on the map as well i think. On some maps they seem to know what theyre doing with queued commands, on others they become brain dead.

does sending officers to therapy void the hermit? (firing as well)
also does your officers stress just automatically increase after elephant? because they've been cool all this time until Elephant (and uh well when i accidentally massacred 70% of valley of the dolls)
Only officer's death will fail the hermit, anything else is fine
Elephant is scripted to raise officers stress to 0.5 (stressed) no matter how you played it

Imagine a map in ready or not where theres an active shooting at a convention where people are cosplaying as swat and bad guys for a swat game inside of ready or not. It would be difficult to simply identify is someone is a suspect or civilian because of they're cosplaying.
It'd be nice to see maps where penetration (and wanting to have less ricochets and penetration) is a bigger consideration.
Maybe a proper cookhouse (where a stray bullet in the wrong place can set off an explosion), or a something like a convention centre with a ton of thin wooden partitions (so you'd have civilians hiding in such places and want to control your fire to avoid hitting them through such cover).
Right now, there's really no place you'd actually want a SMG over an AR

just need to grab a shield and wait until the suspect mag dump all theirs ammo

yeah they often do give up when their mag runs out
not uncommon for a suspect to charge you and mag dump to then surrender the second you shoot them in the head

valley of the dolls mansion is fun to turn into asthma house, full team with gas launcher and gas nades, fill each room with gas, move fast, gas the house, enjoy the gasping for air
you can approach the interior of crack house in a similar fashion, but the dolls mansion is still more satisfying

tell suspects to turn around and crawl back to you using the AI commands menu. This makes it much more difficult for them to surprise attack you
also note that bashing with the taser delivers the same stopping power as a taser shot without consuming a cartridge slot
Hey y'all couldnt find a channel specific for this, but I downloaded a mod for the Sig Sauer Spear by Ballistic, but when I try ADS it doesnt have the standard ADS anim, is this a bug or intentional?
Mods can be buggy, sometimes they aren't as stable as they should be. As for whether or not it is a bug or not, I have no clue. Not big on mods tbh.

removing their mags should take away all of their ammo for it
there is no less lethal secondary so you just have to get rid of their magazines

they'd probably end up 180ing and gunning you down before you even get close to them
if you do manage to sneak up somehow then you can always bash them to try and get them to comply
or just tase them when they're not looking

i think it will run ok, you can always buy the game and if it runs bad and not to your liking, refund within less than 2 hours of playing, but rtx 4050 is alright for ron
mod I currently run is Astral's AI
revamps things to be a bit more like swat 4 imo as much as it can. Not every interaction will end with a shootout like in vanilla
mods can only do so much but astrals does quite a bit that I think improves things a lot

I'm doing Elephant rn, and I never seem to be able to be fast enough to find both bombs in time. If I order red and blue to move and clear 2 different rooms, and I myself go with red, will blue continue to push from that room or will they only hold it if they get no further orders?
Yes, but there is a range where if you're too far they won't push.
The AI cannot defuse bombs currently, so there's no point when you're defusing bombs. You should still have more than enough time to focus on the shooters then the bombs.

Yes, it's not noticeable on most maps, elephant might be big enough if you for some reason send them to one side of the map and walk to the other side
But if they get out of range on the bottom floor, and I walk directly above them on the top floor, will they resume pushing

I can consistently clear Elephant now, just command the AI to cover you in a diamond, and kick in all the doors yourself ignoring all tactics except the fatal funnel

Elephant you have to be fast, there is a timer before they start executing civs.
i never played with ai so idk how to set them but u can use taser/silencer to make suspect less aggressive makes them more time to kill civvies
if u use beanbag or any loud gun they will almost immediately kill civvies

Whatever gun you use I don’t think influences how fast they kill the civs, I’ve S ranked the map like 10 times and always done it on like second try. Just be fast and you will finish it. There only like 3-4 dudes on it. Still a ass map

Gunfighter overhaul let's you use more slots so you can have plenty of ammo and grenades
As for the loadout I'm not really sure, I'd imagine it depends on the officer
i used beanbag for almost 20 tries then theres a youtube video telling that to make the timer keep slower u have to tase/silence them

Nexus is the site, Vortex its mod manager.
And i dont use Vortex personally.
Installing mods manually is always the safest bet. And for RoN, very easy peasy.

On Elephant, seems like the only way to not get civvies killed would be to not use any tactics at all, just run around and kill the suspects. Even GLID takes 10 minutes, and they are pros

Get the 4 shooters first, bombs then civs. Don't worry about anything until all shooters are arrested. You can't move slow and basically hold W to anyone with a gun.

You should try AI Mods to see if there's one that meets your expectations. I agree the AI are underwhelming in the base game

speculation isn't the same as a guarantee. I'm sure it might get ported, but there hasn't been much talk from the Devs about the development
What type of AI behavior are you anticipating for Ready or Not?
Suspects that behave more like they do in swat 4
More variety in reactions to the player than just kill
Have them run away and hide. Improve animations and voice lines for readability
Make roe actually something to consider basically
Because right now you can guarantee every suspect will try and kill you

I recently just updated mine to reimagine AI Suspects for Roleplay and Real Tactical. If you want lower realistic Suspect count (similar to the base count), I would recommend giving Real Tactical a run-through
I did try using it a while back before many other ai mods got updated
I may give it another try
You should be able to keep Astral's mod in your Paks folder and drop mine to overwrite it, but it's usually safer to only have one AI Mod in your Paks folder

I agree with you, but in my latest update, I made a simulated way for them to actually detect the Base Player's presence without triggers
and it helps the AI move around more freely rather than being triggered to an alert state through a sound or visual queue

Sort of random question, but can you see through glass with night vision in RoN? Does anybody have real life experience with night vision and looking through glass? I know that you can’t see through glass with a thermal camera which uses lo frequency ir, but does green and white phosphorus nv which uses a higher frequency ir light suffer from a similar problem? A google search says that glass does block it, but when I look for numbers, I get mixed results. Does anybody with real experience using nvgs know? I thought of this due to the recent improvements with nv in the game and was wondering if this is a real thing or not. If nvgs can’t see through glass this would be an amazing and unique way to make RON stand out in terms of its night vision realism.

Meaning you can walk into a door trap and just get thrown back with 10% damage.
Also knife damage is basically non-existent.

You can just use the laser to aim, the eotech can also be used with the goggles just fine
Flashlight is infinitely more useful than the laser, so only reason I would use it is if it's hard to see through the optic

It's about comfort, people prefer white as it is easier on the eyes and you don't experience eye strain, fatigue or nausea as easily. Green has liiiiittle bit higher contrast giving it a technical advantage.

generally AP is more effective against armour and JHP is better against no armour. Though like aspid said depends on calibre, where you hit them and armour type and so on. I think most people just go with ap all the time since its still effective against none armoured targets. I'd assume more than JHP is against armour

You can just stick with JHP .300/7.62x39/7.62x51 as they pen up to L3A vests, level 4 is only on few maps and some of them is currently bugged (Dorms and Narcos) and with JHP you will 2 shot everyone into limbs

No you can still get a good run with lethal, what I'd recommend for the rooms and lobby would be the CS Gas
you can use it as area denial and get suspects affected in large spaces
but if you feel like you might get an even better edge with CS Gas plus less lethal absolutely go for it

TPL and VKS is very good and also has pepperball ammunition that lingers after hitting suspects with it in the general area
you cannot but you can synchronise breaches and such if you'd like to get two things done at once hands off
So utilize the queue order mechanic better.
For sure give it a shot
streamer can be really tricky esp with it's verticality and how hectic it can get but stuff like CS Gas and pepperball can massively help control it which I mostly recommend in this case
stops a lot of the gunfights you'd get and potentially cause a civilian death

You should be able to create a preset yourself for a non lethal setup and then put it on your guys one by one
mess around and see what you like, you can stack up on a lot of less lethal equipment

Breach > kick > clear with leader, they will kick door and wait till you enter room or you can command them to clear instead
IRL the one who doesn't toss flash will enter, and that's what I want to do, so they wait for my throw but doesn't wait for me to go in

Hey everyone im new here to this game. Is there a way to get my AI teammate to keep their rifles / SMGs pointed at a suspect instead of me? So when I come around the corner they wont try to shoot me? (Happened to me a few hours ago, IRL youd have someone always pointing their rifle at a suspect as they are arrested, thought that there must be a way to get the AI to do the same thing)
you could middle click on a teammate and command them to look somewhere
I feel like a complete noob. now i realise that I should get them to look in their direction instead of the suspect as i only get options to "Arrest" otherwise (Which i dont want if the room / Area is not yet clear). Thanks!

Used to have a little eastern egg during the game's early access that would give you a speed boost if you drank 3 cups of a specific coffee but it was only in the station that you could use it, it would ware off after a certain amount of time and it did not stay after loading into a mission. plenty of other places that actually exist in new york are mentioned like Staten Island and I believe also Manhattan, so it would be strange if they kept those names the same but changed the city name

They changed it so now commander mode and single player quick play mode both work off of progression to unlock, if you do it once for quick play mode then they'll stay unlocked.
They're all unlocked if you play multiplayer so you can work around it by starting a friends only lobby though this means you'll have no friendly AI. Alternatively you can download the simple mod menu and load into any mission through that.
