Any good modded maps?
I need some advice. (Port) (S Rank attempt) I've got the warehouse completely wedged off and the tower secure. The entire outside is also clear. Any suggestions for going about the warehouse?
I'm thinking of trying to get suspects to surrender, then order them back through the doors, but there are at least 12 in the warehouse
And I can see many with the mirror
is there a way to lock the cosmetics again?
i tested out the mod which unlocks all of them, uninstalled it and i still own all of the cosmetics

Theres already mods on nexus which have them all in ogg. I made a whole modpack themed around being the combine for my buddies and I with four different types of combine foot soldier voices to pick from with TOC being replaced by Overwatch and the beginnings of most missions starting with loud speakers telling citizens to prepare for instructions.
Heses the ones I use for voices but I also have like 20 other mods to make a near complete game overhaul

I think those are the main ones but I had to mix and match some of them to get full VO as some of them are partially incomplete or just dont have many lines. If you look up "Half life" or similar things on nexus theres a handful of mods to overhal the rest of the game

never even without body armor in the heart

I found that my Ai teammates killed a lot of terrorists in Neon Tomb and captured the leader alive without any loss of status. But I killed a lot of suspects on Sinuous Trail and captured some alive which caused their status to decline.
I'm not sure it would be overpowering for me to have my teammates use .300 and 7.62 caliber rifles on the Sinuous Trail.

If I just kill a person trying to rob with a knife, my Ai teammate's status will decrease. If I kill a terrorist, will it increase instead of decreasing @@?
I usually let me ai get a fair shake of action so they can be alright in the end

I feel very troubled. Using rifle ammunition will directly kill important targets. The use of handgun ammunition and non-lethal weapons increases the risk of performing a mission.

The main purpose of pistol bullets is to incapacitate a suspect, while rifle bullets are used to cause death, right?
pistols, or, generally, sidearms are used as a backup option for when your primary is out of ammo or otherwise unuseable. pistol calibers are generally smaller since they're much more compact firearms, but this doesn't mean their main use is to incapacitate, if you wanna do that you'd be best using a beanbag shotgun or pepperball launcher
With any firearm, the idea of shooting someone is to render them, the threat, incapable of harming you any longer, usually by depriving them of the ability to continue acting consciously via destroying their internal organs and their connections to their central nervous system
In other words, the idea is to kill them generally
Handguns are weak because of physics, it's hard to have a package that can make a big bullet move that fast without exploding in your hand or being very unwieldy like those gimmicky single-shot .50bmg handguns

If you're in commander mode, having 2 SWAT with the Pacifier trait + VKS is absurdly OP. You can get away with running 1 Pacifier though, as it's still OP as fuck.
Outside of commander mode, probably the beanbag, just because it's more consistent without the perks

Well, I should have went in commander mode for SP S ranks, but oh well.
The SWAT will be unable to hit anything with the beanbag guns as they fire an actual projectile that needs to be lead at med-long range

voids "debrief updates" are tedious as hell, no one is ready to re-chew the same campaign and campaign missions over and over and over and over again
theres like No skirmish + no mission generator/editor like in Raven Shield and SWAT 4.
so it only kills most of the replayability besides custom mod maps, i think they removed mission mode feature that was from Early Access.

RoN would be a lot more interesting if gear like vests and helmets had different benifits and drawbacks and you could buy new gear for your team after missions instead of getting cosmetics as you go through missions

A gamemode where you micromanage your team and their assets would have been a lot more interesting than the disaster that is commander mode
But i would have rather had ye ole campaign like SWAT 4 and 3 did with memorable characters that plant the game and its narrative in the ground
personally i like not being punished but i also hate how unimportant swat officers are
they could give them more than just a trait that can be replaced
With the difference in tech I would want a lot more than just a remastered swat 4 game

Game starts
First mission is a simple 1 barricaded suspect
Team has starter gear (unmodified rifles and only basic tools and vests)
As you progress missions get more complicated and more difficult
As you progress you also unlock and purchase different items and gear for your team
The officers get better over time and listen to commands better
Death is still permanent for them but also costs you money
Failed missions lower your budget and successful increase it depending on mission score
that would be nice
I'm not for unlocking different gear, rather just a simple points system that allows you to get more expensive gear in better quantities
i wouldnt want a campaign mode because i like how the "campaign" is in the game, but a more replayable gamemode would be very good

the weirdest thing with the customization menu that i have to put a ticket for is how the cosmetics don't mesh well with certain faces
and when they DO get out of your way they just walk into another room that you guys are about to enter while looking right in your eyes as he gets absolutely obliterated by all the enemies inside that room
like some of the glasses are floating or clipping through certain faces
also gpnvgs are uncannily small like i cant use them because it bugs me out so much when i see it

They've said they do not want to do random maps, I can't imagine how much work it would take first of all (SDIF has been in dev for a few years and only had 4 maps on launch,) but randomizing a map doesn't guarantee it's gonna feel new.
Most of SDIF maps have random buildings yeah, but it feels the same each time because it's built around the same core objectives.

They never said it wasn't possible, they said they do not want to do it, they prefer precrafted maps that allow them to tell themes/stories and create a consistent experience.
I merely mentioned that if you look at SDIF alone, the dev team I think is around the size of current Void, they've spent the past few years making procedurally generated maps and I think the game only has 7 maps right now.

I think the biggest issue for SWAT AI is that if they detect a threat they will ignore you, I think it's really just that.
Because AP is supposed to be the equivalent of green tips. Rigid steel core, meaning no expansion and it just punches through and overpenetrates their bodies (as you can shoot things through suspects). If they have body armor, you can double tap them in the chest. If they don't have armor, go for pelvic shots. Two or three and they almost always get incapacitated, instead. That's for 5.56 though, the AK and SA-58 and the lower caliber SMGs wouldn't act that way. I pretty much exclusively run AP on primaries, because I like to incapacitate and arrest as much as possible.
I know it shipped with 4 at launch and I know they had an update that added 3 more, I haven't seen anymore past that
i kinda just go into the map category and sort by most downloaded. Sanctum's deceit and lustful remose are decent, but like most modded maps:
if its too empty, it feels lifeless
if its too crowded, AI gets stuck

To be fair to SDIF, the idea isn't that every map is new. It's more so to make it feel as if you're meant to clear a different district/neighborhood in the same city, Fallujah. And it works pretty good for that goal from what I've seen.

I know, but it doesn't work for me, and based on player numbers alone it doesn't work for a lot of people. There are other issues, the games graphics hurt my eyes after maybe an hour of play, but that's not the point here.
Not to mention I just don't like their map design philisophy. They advertised a CQB focus with stuff like the interior smoke and echo, but I rarely had any engagements inside unless it was an objective building.

SDIF's whole premise seems like something a larger dev team needs to do. Something that Insurgency's devs might have been able to make, back when they ACTUALLY developed Sandstorm and weren't shafted by the publishers and outsourced to some other studios.

I think Insurgency Sandstorm was really cool when I bought it for the first time in like, 2020. It didn't have a lot of players, just like the original Insurgency on Source, but servers were full, games were mostly a close match, the performance wasn't utter trash once I installed it on an SSD and Insurgency's gameplay is really fun since their first mod. But I feel like it didn't go off as expected and that's what lead to outsourcing and laying off people from NWI.

But the game says "report dead" and they rise back up super quickly, so my guess is that Judge blows the door up, sees people on the ground and is like "Yeah, they're done" without confirmation. Clear the store, then wedge the 3 doors into that long storage room between the backroom of the store and the warehouse, wedge the store's glass door and go and clear the parking area behind the warehouse. If you want to, you can also go and clear the little staff building right of the store and wedge that one door on the warehouse and then nobody will be able to leave the warehouse after you clear the parking on the other side

Absolutely. I tried clearing it with gas with a friend and a mod that adds more suspects (23 on that mission) and gas is absolutely useless. You gotta funnel them in one area and just sweep the conveyors and then the rest is just in that FISA office and the offices up above.

Once you clear the staff area, store and parking and you wedge all the doors connecting the warehouse to the other areas, you can put one team towards the parking area and slowly tell them to push up the more open area while you have the other team follow you through the conveyors. A little risky for the first team, but it'll prevent you crossfires in-between the whole bunch of props and shit.

I use more ammo mod but it's outdated, doesn't works. There is this commonly use slot mod, gunfighter mod I think that can increase slot to 30, 50, or 99. but it crashes in co-op.

Gunfighter itself does not cause crashes in multiplayer, even if the host does not have it. You are having a different issue with another mod if you are crashing.

do you use mod before? There are so many mods that aren't working anymore since 1.0 update. There's this mod called more nades and more ammo that I used before, rn if I use those mods, my armor in loadout section is just blank white screen and I can't use any armor
most mods dont work after 1.0 you need to find updated mods
Sounds like you have multiple broken mods. Follow the instructions in #❓modding-faq-archive to uninstall them, and start by unsubscribing from mod.io subscription mods
now that you mention it I do have more nades and ammo installed

The file path should look something like this but you can go to the properties on the RoNs steam page and find click "browse local files"

The VO folder is next to the paks folder under "Content"
Yea, backup the OG files if you want to add them back easy then drop your files in place of whatever you removed. Just make sure everything, including the folder holding all the ogg files, has all the same names as whatever is being replaced

If the ogg files are slow as shit you can try uninstalling "Web media extensions" in your system settings. Its the codec which reads ogg files for windows but its really slow
Should make them move/delete much faster but now you cant preview them outside the game without reinstalling web media extensions

All map clearable with just duo and limited nades / wench? For example we tried to play Sins of the Father but we have 4 wench and 8 bangs in total.

All maps are clearable solo with only bullets, so yes you should be fine if you are familiar with the game

I think RoN is best described as realistic as playable. No one wants to play a simulator level swat call, no one wants to sit around for 8 hours in-game. I think RoNs charm is telling law enforcement themed stories while also having an exaggerated enough formula to have fun combat. I don't think it would be the same or anywhere as successful if they had gone for 18 small and "grounded" levels.
Even swat 4 ended with you assaulting a medical facility from terrorists. SWAT 3 had you stop a nuke.

That's Daniella Voll. She's Janie's stepmom, who Amos met in the porn industry and married after his wife passed. It's why Janie and her are on such bad terms. There's a note written by Daniella, basically yelling at Janie to not touch the statues around the house or she'll "tell Daddy".
But yeah, the blonde woman in the white dress you find on the third floor lobby or bathroom is Daniella Voll.
