Sorry if this has already been asked recently but can someone explain how score works? I was under the impression that you get A+ if you do everything correctly (all objectives, all suspects killed or arrested, all civs alive and reported, all evidence collected) and S tier was no death. Me and my friend played datacentre and hard completed the level with no penaltyās but only got a B??

some mods allow you to get S with deaths now, mine, I think gunfighter, no crack as well. some other pretty sure. Lots of us find it dumb you loose S off of incaps which they are still alive. Mine penalizes you heavily roughly 1.5/2k points per unauth deadly force but removes unauth force to allow stealth etc so you dont have to shout everywhere
some things to think about downloading if you enjoy attempting S without the dullness of peppering or beanbagging everyone

If it is inside a blueprint then it cannot be modded currently. I don't remember seeing the team ai logic outside of one so I think we are stuck with it.

Okay, I'm attempting an S-run on Sins Of The Father. I am fairly sure I am nearly there, possibly just ONE suspect roaming about. Cannot find him. Rescued all civvies, put nearly all the bad guys in cuffs.
Spamming F doesn't work. Telling my crew to Search & Secure does nothing either, they just stand there like dipshits. Any tips? Been searching for 15 minutes for what I assume is the last guy.
If S&S does not work to find someone, that means they were surrendered and stood back up or they are behind a door that your team has never opened.
I think you need to report all the suspects, if you haven't done that for all of them then that might be the issue. Otherwise he's either hiding in a very good spot (i.e totally bugged out OR in a closet maybe but idk if they do that on Sins)

Pie and slide are what they are called in game. Not sure if they are options in that menu
they are not default issue commands
you have to manually go through the menu for them which is kind of a hassle

I can't explain how much time on my S runs i got into situation where they will switch to empty pistol like wtf, at least would be useful for them to reload after every cleared room, you sent them to clear the room, they make sure room is clear, they reload by default. That's kind of standard

You enter from Main lobby side, you first face morgue clearing, literary both entrances to any room at morgue don't have enough cover on both sides for AI to hide behind the wall, even with C2, there is good chance for enemies to kill them instantly. I agree that the relapse is literary hardest map in the game, time based, suspects kills themself + they are strong af, like, if you hear full auto from them, you know that the one of yours is dead.
Finished sucesfully relapse maybe 10 times out of my 20, always one dead. On my last run 5 minutes ago, i entered from lobby, cleared morgue, all good, went to radiology area, boom, 1 dead somehow in CT scanner room

Oh. i know very well what you mean, i'm playing always solo but had few situation like that, hopefully, AI can fix that by themself, for example, hotel mission, i arrested 1 suspects on fire escape stairs outside, gun fell trough floor, but AI could secure it magically. I mean, tbh. after finishing all maps regularly regardless of rank, can say, it's kind of boring overall since everything is always the same. Tried Six days in fallujah for example, there is like 4/5 missions only but since map is always random it adds specific flavor to the game to be played again and again. As well, sdif made better movement mechanic then ron imo, but rn. in terms of added content, RoN has it more definitly.

My problem with flashes in general is the fact that they are inconsistent somehow, i feel like they do the same effect like VKS, that gun also, like, you can shoot 10 bullets at the enemy they will just run around coughting for 3/4 second then they will start shooting at you again regardless of the constant yelling etc.
the damage dealt has nothing to do with the stun effect (thankfully)
usually inconsistencies with flashes are because of the limited range and the tracing being iffy

stingers on average will produce more reliable instant surrenders, as suspects taking damage DOES influence them giving up, on top of being stunned
suspects usually will not surrender off only the CS effect, you need to close distance, get multiple people yelling, or hit multiple times for a stun before they'll give in
I mean tbh, i wouldn't even need flashes or any kind of utility if movement was a little bit better, like i mentioned earlier, leaning is so slow, there is almost no chance to peek any angle without being shoot at instantly before you go back to cover, peeking while leaned... slowed movement, pretty much impossible to win any kind of gunfight.
face checking is a no no
use a mirror, or command the AI to use one, if you HAVE to peek an angle, you need to commit to it, as most walls you're peeking around are not hard cover

two officers down, 59 minutes (granted, more like 40 without running around the map trying to figure out what the fuck piece of evidence i missed only to find out it was an unreportable dead body that glitched through some stairs), had to call myself an ambulance for my heart attack, but we fuckin did it boys WE STOPPED CRIME

Im sure theres a lot of work written in the maps, documents and all of that is really great. I dont have an issue with those details, but realistically none of that is conceptualized in gameplay, cutscenes or relevant mp3 briefings (Which are a snooze fest for the most part, even for maps with high stakes). Environmental storytelling is nice, yet theres only so much that I enjoy, which I think its my fair. I just cant. Will watch the 5hr video most likely

Depends how you look at it, from one side, yes it is the best, you can relyably force suspects to surrender, there is no unauthorized force penalty, but from other side, you are limited to close range only + beanbag since last patch have more then awful accuarcy overall. VKS is kind of more flexible since you can tag suspect on range, but if you shoot armed suspect who is beside somene who already surrendered, you will get unauthorized force penalty since you gased suspect who is complaining.
VKS is unreliable, TPL is not even worth looking at, beanbag shotgun shoots slow but is guaranteed to stop target (if it decides to hit).

Try it on low manouver maps like relapse, you can't pull back to cover, you can't allow yourself to play any kind of agressive since they will kill you instantly. xD In terms of VKS, shoot legs, for some reason they always complain instantly when shot into the legs but not in the body / head, lol.
Taser is also very nice but the projectile can just go through suspects so that's fun
Pretty much like in real life, you will not be able to pull the taser unless you are 100% sure that others around you are holding all other angles covered for you to perform taser how you want, and that's something what you can't rely on with AI teammates overall.
Especially when you're the client in a multiplayer game
I used the taser on my first lethal playthrough to actually try to get people in alive (in a SWAT game? crazy i know) and most of the time it ended with me dying because the projectile just phased through the hitbox even in singleplayer
Every time I try to pull a taser the suspects go from hesitant crybaby mode to death the destroyer of worlds
Since i didn't saw any kind of footage to confirm, only thing what i can say is for taser to work properly suspect needs to be static overall. Taser is usually used in situation where suspect is surrounded but doesn't want to complain, in all other situations you use an Beanbag as an more agressive and vesatile option. If you die from suspect trying to tase them while they are armed that's totally on you, your mistake, noone elses.
It's not really my mistake when the projectile is just broken, the beanbag can only be used if you swap your lethal primary for it, which means you are ineffective in an actual gunfight where you would need it so either you're locked to playing less lethal with the shotgun or playing the the hitboxes with the taser, not fun
It's even worse in multiplayer where the taser has an even worse problem to the point where not even the melee works for it

You obviously didn't read my first sentence in terms of projectile going trough suspects. irl let's say 2/3 of them will go with lethal weapon, 1 will go with beanbag. Now there is a lot of more factors to look on that. Like the fact that you as an suspect will be most likely itimidated since they are holding lethal weapons onto your head, ofc, there is no reset irl so you will most likely complain, there is also stress factor about your overall senses, like flashlight being pointed into you etc. When you are blind, you don't know how to react since you don't see shit. But unfortunently, flashlights can't blind suspects in RoN or get you any kind of higher itimidation on suspects.

My guy is talking about realism and then mentions one SWAT officer going with beanbags in a highly volatile situation, going with the beanbag shotgun AT ALL is not realistic, so having it on your back instead of a huge fucking shield isn't "unrealistic", ignoring the fact that picking an LTL in a lobby with people using lethals is a bad idea as 9/10 times the suspect you stun gets decimated anyway

I agree, that the going full non-lethal is unrealistic af, but it is what it is. Ty God, game will not give you S rank if you for example down the suspect with some body shots, you get unresponsive but breathing ( so, alive ), but nah, it's still not S rank, he is downed.
It should atleast give you extra points for not killing suspects, as it is the incapacitated feature is absolutely worthless right now, the second you cuff them on the ground they don't even move either, so it's literally impossible to tell who is incapacitated afterwards
Pretty much in Us they will carry multiple weapons in their cruisers and pull them out when needed / approved. Pretty much you never want to send any kind of non-lethal weapon carrier first to clear any kind of room since you will get shot instantly, guy beside you, even two of them will enter first to kind of scout and make sure it's safe to you to enter then beanbag carrier enters.

Wait until you try Relapse on S, tried like 20 times already, usually either don't even get chance to finish the mission, or even worse, i finish the mission but always find 1 suspect dead at the end of the mission, cuz they offed themself cuz overwhelmed.
I did have situations where suspects gave up without using either but it's so rare it's not even a viable solution
especially since I'm an exclusively solo player, and the ai always goes for the kill instantly
Pretty much only thing what you can do to let's say supress some aggro from suspect is to use 1 AI with shield and empty pistol, they will push first and take some bullets until other arrives, ideally you want guy with beanbag as an second guy in the squad, it's pretty effective but sometimes you must help them with additional utility, on big maps like relapse it's almost impossible.

This discord feels so much quieter now than beta. Back then, each VC was packed full and you was struggling to get into a group. Now, it's the opposite end of the spectrum

well like i said taser usually has the instant "effect" at stopping them, but sometimes they are super fast at shooting themselves, like once i threw CS GAS and 2 suspects instantly shot themselves lol
