The headshot damage calculation has been broken since (at least) Adam. Where basically any damage would kill players/suspects/civs no matter what.
Long time players can remember that you used to occasionally get a 'red head' on the paperdoll, but not for a long time.

the hostage taking has always been really buggy it seems
but I can also fathom a guess at what might happen because of the 'new' headshot multipliers
if you don't kill them (as previously done with any headshot) the sequence continues
even if they're technically past the health threshold for incap
and I bet that the game doesn't do real-time checks for health values, only when new damage is taken
(as the former system would be redundant)
Just now a suspect took a hostage, I killed the suspect, the hostage just stood there in the pose so I had to shoot him, then as the ai cuffed him (I couldn’t for some reason) the suspect and civilians body’s returned to the animation and then fell like they were made of cement

I tried Div 1 briefly and it was alright. I hated that the premise was "shoot civilians just trying to survive"
Div 1 setting was flawless with that snow and stuff, Div 2 have much more content tho, but everything basiclly is behind paywall in form of Warlords of New York DLC, you are playing Div 2 in Washington, while DLC is allowing you to go back to New York, new map, new stuff to explore.'
(at least in the tutorial areas - didn't get much beyond that)

Well in Div 1 the Division was hardly presented as the good guys, and the game constantly questioned if what you were doing was right. Division 2 is when the Division basically got presented as absolute heroes and all other factions are just crazy murderers.
I honestly tried 1 more run with new character around december, it is still enjoyable expirinence, tho, since there is lack of players in Div 1 there is not much to do in Dark zone for example

Yeah characters in Div 1 basically compared the Division to post-9/11 policies like the Patriot Act. In Division 2 they went so hard in the "not political" route they erased like the last 5 presidents in a museum exhibit about presidents

it's like 3 attempts that i've lost to randomly incapping a suspect
one time the guy had a hostage and i sent my teammates with their VKS to move and clear and the hostage died 👍 good policing guys
i've spent like 7 attempts trying to S rank the spider
They all their secondary mags, but be aware, they will still ocasionally pull out empty pistol on suspects, my advice, try to run 2 VKS-s + 2 beanbags as an non-lethal equipment.
i tried running beanbags but one of my guys head shotted a suspect and killed him
i'll take their mags and give them gas instead
Equip them with gas grenades, a gas launcher, that pepperball gun and go beanbag shotgun yourself
i should use more gas, i havent been using much despite running gas masks
Can happen, yes, but it's best shot overall, run C2, and Gas, your best bet overall. if you are using VKS personally there is good chance to receive unauthorized force penalty ocasionally. As well, don't forget to run Gas mask. Beanbag is your best shot overall since you can shoot both civilians and suspects without fear of penalty, but if you shoot them in the head they will surely die. Only problematic map i found so far for S rank is Neon Tomb ( nightclub ), honestly, for me that's easiset map overall if we don't count gas station. But, there is 1 suspect there with sucide west, you must shoot him in the legs with beanbag, otherwise, boom
And yeah, i almost forgot, do not run laser on beanbag by any means, as well, don't run scopes at all. there is accuarcy inconsistencies with attachments and lasers overall so you will miss shots a lot.

If they are in therapy they will recover after finishing 3 missions, regardless of result, fail or win. If they are dead you will lost them and you will need to employ new ones, there is cases where if you don't send them to therapy, they will just resign, so you aggain need to hire new ones

You might have paramedic in team, he can revive them but they will still need therapy ( 3 missions colodown )

The game is still 56Gb, it just includes 6gb worth of changes because it went through and optimized every part of the game, including adding new LOD assets.

Just let it load the update and it'll be fine, you may notice some stutters at first while it regenerates your data essentially. Best way I can phrase it

I think it would be nice if Ready or Not had functional magnifier scopes for attachment right now there are only cosmetics and serve no purpose. Can they please be implemented? I know the Ready or Not uses the same engine as ground branch and they have a workable scope.

one relies on map destruction and modification and devices to get kills
one relies on some tech but mostly your clearance technique to get arrests and not die in the process

But whenever it does i imagine it wont be class based and be a bit more realistic. But we dont really know what the pvp will be like.

Ron is more comparable to swat 4 since thats what its based off. Though even then it ends up playing a bit differently to that rn
game mechanics needs to change like adding sprinting cuz if pvp whenever u enter a room just randomly shoot at the door and ur team are dead or wherever you go slowly you will die if u r the Swat team
We dont really know what the modes will be like, very early ron pvp was team deathmatch i think. Idk if theyre gonna do the same or do some more unique attack/defend or vip type modes

If I have someone running non lethal, I dunno about you, but I'd rather have it be a guy with a shield to defend themselves if it fucks up with while their lethal cover deals with it
taser with shield is indeed worse then shooting a gun with rubber bullets which would be awesome to play front going for S tier
although if we're talking non lethal, id rather have a less lethal long tactical option, so we can carry less lethal primaries + lethal primaries
And again, in real situation, none would risk front man to go with non-lethal weapon as an entry. Point of the game is to simulate realism pretty much instead of actually blindly completing the levels. Point is to find best way to complete it with stuff you have. If you can't complete it, it's an skill issue pretty much.
to get S tier on maps you can't kill a single person. while you can basically crouch walk up to the shooter with a shield. it is annoying you can't just quickly disarm them with a few none lethal shots to have a better flow

my AI teammates are so annoying while im trying to S rank it, i took their pistol ammo away and they pull out their empty pistol to deal with a suspect and die... this is the 4th time this has happened

wedging doors is very satisfying - mirroring and planning simultaneous breaches with AI is top-tier gameplay
never had them pull out empty pistols tbh, only my front guy with shield running with an empty pistol which is stupid but it is how the game forces us to play atm to get S tier. since 1 dead suspect = in failed S

and i never aim higher than stomach with the beanbag just in case

i lost my 35 minute relapse S run because i headshot 1 guy with the beanbag

I stopped going for S because non-lethal became a chore, and super boring with only 1 gun option. But still really fun to intimidate and take suspects by surprise, forcing them to drop their weapon

Hardest level for me so far is Valley of the Dolls - only made it to Elephant though
hide and seek is the last map for me to get act of valor
elephant was a strange mission for me because i had all 4 limbs broken and zero kills but my team was completely unharmed and they wiped out every shooter
valley of dolls - neon club - hospital have been a hassle to deal with for sure

okay guys more the spider S rank attempts, i tried once on twisted nerve but accidentally headshot the second suspect and just moved on after completing it
Spider was the Brixville talent mission if i remember correctly?
I wedge all exterior doors on that mission - enter through the roof or the back-alley door into the locker room

Roof is unrelyable entry for S rank, since there is too much dead angles when you try to enter the building, best shot is main entrance.
You only need to clear to the right if you do it my way - yours has both left and right
i did spider through the main hallway with flashes and gas
love how many approaches each level has
taking control over the center and then clearing left to outside going upstairs
i always go around the convenience store to the outside section because people would always walk in from outside
Wedge all exterior doors when you spawn on the street, then enter inside courtyard from the store ( clear store in process ), clear courtyard and wedge all doors of the building leading outside, go to the roof, clear that, enter inside the building from rooftop, and clear stairs, then wedge the door leading to stairs area. Go outside again, to the main entrance and C2 door + gas, there is usually 1 suspect at reception desk on the right. Place Red team to wand the next double door inside and after C2 + gas as well, order blue team to clear reception desk, then order them to clear small office behind reception desk. clear in same time both room, pretty much everything else is ez.

Don't even try to enter and start clearing from the roof like i said, too much dead angles, if you are running VHS for example, there is 50% chance to suceed but only if you go first yourself, Your AI teammates are programmed to immidetly when they open door, first one will always clear dead space behind the door, instant dead from guy on the right inside lobby.
would always advice to put a shield on 1 bot with an empty pistol... still stupid and be the shooter behind him
shield will take aggro and if your shooting is on point you quickly disarm them
only had 1 moment so far where a hostile switched targets to me clearing a room which oddly surprised me
bled out 3 separate times cuz i ran out of gas grenades, tried to move into cover because my teammates were behind me and died

Are you using Granades or launcher? Launchers have only 1 charge on bots.
i used the launchers while clearing the interior
and i use mirrorgun
im tellin you, its just a case of shitty luck
Try to use 2 wedges on everyone + gas granades on rest. for the gadgets, 1 mirrorgun on both blue and red team, for others, either 2 rams or in red place 1 shield, and on other place ram. depends how you want to play, i personally don't like to use shield on S runs overall. And 1 tip, you can use mirrorgun to check behind corners overall, if you want to check roof before you peek just use mirrorgun, see where they are, then throw gas from cover before you peek.
while mirrorgun is hands down the best, I really prefer using the launcher ngl

Tbh, launcher can be useful for some fast pushes with bots since for example, if you C2 + launcher, 1 bot will preplace himself in front of the door and fire immidetly after the explosion, but bots have only 1 launcher charge while you have 2

swat ai likes the launcher so much they can use it only once 
yeah i'm talking about using the launcher myself since I can have 4
I mean, you can try launcher alongside gas granandes, could work, but make sure to place wand on at least two of AIs to check the rooms, they usually can spot the suspect even trough walls sometimes.
plus the AI don't use the launcher very well, so even if they would fix it and make them have 4 shots instead of 1, still wouldn't make me eager to give them the launcher
yeah i finished all S ranks on 1.0 release before any of the hotfixes without mods and gas grenades with flash/stinger launchers worked very well for me
and ye i mostly used the Ai to wedge doors and mirror for me
Still need to finish Relapse and Port on S for valor achivement, pretty much, relapse is hardest map overall, time capped because of the bombs, suspects have op guns etc etc etc.
I don't even want to talk about size of the map.

You do, but look like this, you start from main lobby, you will need to clear morgue first, really big area, and AIs don't navigate pretty good there, after that, you must clear radiology floor, you can't close the main door to isolate them, so, you are forced to waste time there first. If you start from underground garage, you will reach kids room pretty fast, but, there is like 70% chance for suspect to spawn on skybridge, alongside all bad reflections and stuff, they can kill you pretty fast, they have advantage on range + lethal guns while you are forced to have non-lethal ones.
the guy on relapse to arrest is a bit of rng
while Port is "technically" harder I do agree that Relapse has it's moment true..........I sweared alot on that map, one example below:
I threw a gas nade, it fell "through the map" and landed in the basement, anyways after I had cleared everything and went to clear the last part which is basement I found 2 suspects had 'offed' themselves lol, and this happened at least 4 times (even on neon tomb)
for morgue wedge down the double door and start clearing from the locker room
easily ruined my S ranks a couple times cos of that reason
depending on the position of hostiles you can decide wether or not u need flashes to push through
wedges are very important on relapse
the bomb timer is pretty long though so both entry points are good, just pick whatever you prefer

For me they usually push from first duble door on the left, and because of reflections it's pretty much impossible to deal with them, because of the angle skybridge is placed, you can gas out second duble door ( in dark area ) while you deal with first one, but still pretty risky if door is open.

the easiest point is starting from main lobby tho. since from underground you can get shot through the windows aswell at bridge
from main lobby you just have to hold downthe front double door while you push it
I usually sprint through that part, their accuracy isn't that good at that range since I can't hit them with my less lethal through glass

bridge part starting from main lobby. you confirm the second entry is clear. then backtrack to the dark area and from there you push over asap if doors are open
close them and mirrorgun it first before fulling pushing through
Get close to door, equip wand, use it under door, look both sides, if you see a wire then it's rigged
once you take control into the next building split into blue and red for a simulatinuous entry onto the bomb room with double flashes

you can use the mirrorgun to spot them on the door frame or peek the door and there will be a wire
Also there are 2 modes either full screen or PiP, choose whatever you prefer
you can also peek the door, the wire will not trigger and that is how you defuse them

I hate the fact that the AI does not have any kind of awareness of the map layout overall. When they are clearing, two are going to the left and two to the right regardless of the map layout in general, if door you are entering from is exacly next to the wall, and rest of the room is big open space, only two of them will go to clear rest of the room, while two will stay by the wall next to the door.

It is ,,standard practice" yes, but why would you clear just for the puposse of staying there when it's obviously clear, morgue on relapse is prime example, if there is like 3 suspects inside the room, they all surrendered, they will swiple whole room first before they cuff them, in meantime, while they are running around the room, suspect will exit from surrender state and just start shooting again.
if they end up at their PoD with no open thresholds to deal with they look either at subjects or center of the room, dont remember exactly which

Pretty much, in R6 you kind of need to report everyting to teammates in order to have proper callout, you see hole in the wall, you report it, you hear someone below / above you, you report it, It's tense af to play in solo in general, because you are mostly forced to play support / fill role where your objective is to literary plant, on top of that, you will provably don't have any kind of cover while planting, cuz, everyone wants kills, not to win the round. Most of community watches highly skilled pro players or streamers and try to copy them pretty much.

Try Front / Back light armor with ceramic, best combo overall. You have speed and decent protection

And i'm telling you again, noone will send frontman with non-lethal weapon to push first, frontman / entry must first return fire. Instead of utilizing shield, use VKS + Beanbag on both teams, by that you will have both teams balanced

From what I can tell, only the torso hit calculation is affected by the change to the armor hitzones that they did.
Visually shooting the 3d model of limbs/head will still give the expected results (hurt limbs and head)
Then take VKS or beanbag yourself and push always first. There is no excuse overall because it's very doable overall. Learn to control AI well and you will suceed

i think it's because your AI teammates kill everyone with their AR's, so that might be stopping us from getting the achievement
the AI can kill everyone, and you'll still get the achievement, as long as you just waltz around with the .357 out
that's how people are cheesing the "only use taser on port" achievement too
now seeing people saying that using equipement, shield, night vision or even switching to your primary means you dont get the achievement

by the way did they increase the number of suspects per mission to compensate for the lack of crack? i check in with the soft objectives guide on steam as i play to make sure i don't miss anything and there's a screenshot of an S run at the end of each mission. in my runs, the number of suspects is consistently 30-50% higher

gotta admit, for all the faults ready or not may have compared to swat 4, it definitely handles the concepts that were infuriatingly badly balanced in swat 4 better
like the bomb mission, took me like 2 or 3 tries as opposed to 76

im not even going for S ranks yet, but in swat 4 you got slapped with unauthorized use of force penalties at the drop of a hat and it MASSIVELY impacted your score
it was very common to finish a mission and find out you actually failed it because you only got 53/100 points thanks to shooting back at suspects who were shooting at you (they were 0.2 seconds into their surrendering animation)
ready or not doesn't pull that shit, you only get those penalties for 100% clear cut situations like headshotting suspects on their knees with their hands up, and even then the penalty isn't that harsh
also people seem to forget how useless the "breach with bang/stinger/gas" commands were in swat 4, cause your dudes would literally drop the grenade on the room's doorstep and bang YOU
it was several orders of magnitude worse in swat 4
have the devs told us anything about the themes or missions about the dlcs or did we just get the names for now?

the swat 4 bomb mission was a hotel map with two floors, like 20 suspects all decked out in armor and carrying serious business guns (and hiding in bathrooms very often which made taking them down without getting penalized for unauthorized use of force REALLY difficult), and there was like 5 or 7 bombs, not 2
swat 3 hospital + nuke

the cherry on top is that if you got shot in the legs at any point, that was essentially a game over because it was physically impossible to get to all the bombs in time

very heavily depends on which terrorists we're talking about, the houthis (who i assume are the ones in neon, since it says they're from northern yemen) are often trained by iranian elite forces, and have been fighting a very bloody war for like a decade now
houthis are like a local militia force making a play for the yemeni government though, the fact the hand is a terror cell makes me think they're more analagous to the islamic state in iraq
