Yes the rewards that were claimable were paid items, but not everyone keeps track of which items are paid and which are not.

It was told by official sources to go to the maple admin to get unclaimed rewards, and it was even said that a bug of claiming items you're not supposed to was resolved. It had been over 6 hours after the game went live and the items were still claimable. I think that's a reasonable time passed to assume it was intended behaviour

This whole mess feels like a triple-down on dev mistakes:

First, the Sia event ended a day earlier than advertised, catching a lot of players off guard.

Second, the fix that was supposed to let us claim rewards via Maple Admin after maintenance ended up giving out premium boxes that were meant only for Sia Pass holders.

Third, instead of acknowledging the error and rolling back the rewards, Nexon decided to ban everyone who claimed them — even though it was your system that allowed it.

It’s now been over 16 hours with no clear communication. Affected players still can’t log in, can’t play new events, and have no idea if these bans are temporary, permanent, or even being reviewed.

This entire ban stems from Nexon failing to properly code the end date of the previous event. They explicitly told us we could claim our unclaimed items from the Maple Admin, and the very first item on that list was the NX outfit. That means if you simply spammed through the NPC dialogue, you’d be banned right now.

I can understand restricting accounts for a few hours to fix the issue, but it’s now been over 24 hours with no indication of progress. And this isn’t on the CMs. It’s clear the developers aren’t communicating anything to them either.

Very similar issue with the guild leaders getting banned for receiving maple points unexpectedly (the ones who used them are still banned and were oblivious as to where the maple points came from thinking it was some sort of world merge compensation due to inventory slots which they were forced to accept). Ultimately if these two bugs never existed, there would be no bans for innocent players as of this world merge NT patch.

Some people here are serious addicts. Just submit a ticket, best case scenario you'll be unbanned but yes you're going to miss several days, you will be behind in NT and you will receive no compensation.

In my case, I didn't open any boxes so I sent a ticket asking if they could simply drop the box and I'm banned nonetheless. Hounding the CM isn't going to do anything for your specific case, especially if Korea is involved (agree with Shadows comment btw) as Calahan said, it's Saturday morning over there and chances we'll have to wait till next week for an update.

Tldr, send a ticket and do something else.

2+ years in reboot (15+ in general) running end game with irl and in game friends. They know what's going on and understand, it is what it is. The issue is the CM can't do much more and pinging every 2h is not going to help your case. If you did send a ticket, you're more likely to hear from the GM handling your case before you get an update from the CM
