How did it perform in truckersMP when you used it?

Honesty it performed fine, no issues. I was using it on a 2560x1080 ultrawide. I got good FPS, in light traffic between 50-70 FPS, heavy traffic can get down to 15-20 FPS but at that point, even the strongest gpu out there won’t help. That’s a CPU load. My cpu is a R7 5800X3D. Not the best right now, but still plenty strong for its time. Even now with my 9070 XT, I still get low FPS in heavy traffic, its a game issue.

A trick that I am using though is I have AFMF (frame generation/fake frames) enabled for ETS2 in the AMD Adrenalin app. It visually “doubles” your FPS so the gameplay is smoother. Honestly it’s been a lifesaver.

I have noticed this. NVIDIA gpus perform wildly better in this game compared to AMD gpus. I’m currently trying to trade my 9070 XT for a 5070 TI

5070 Ti gets between 30-40 fps more in some scenarios on this game compared to the 9070 XT

I play at 3440x1440 ultrawide now and everything at max I generally get about that same fps in Calais as well. On C-D with light traffic, I get around 110-140 fps

It’s a NAS. it does transcode video. It doesn’t run simulation. Doesn’t nothing. Displays an ip and that’s it.

If I was going to transcode I would the the cpu which is overkill for the NAS but soon the thing will be running a program so you could argue that it’s needed

Yeah, I'm sure I'd be fine with something like an R5. Honestly I don't think I've ever used this base at anywhere near its full potential. I only ever ran it at 10.5nm max. I preordered it back in 2019 only because I'm very sensitive to feeling cogging in wheels when turning and I wanted the absolute smoothest possible wheel base out there, and this was the answer. Still have not financially recovered from it 😂

but when you've launched the game for singleplayer you will see a mod manager in the list on the first menu before you load your savegame

you should see the mods you've subscribed to in the mod manager, you can then select them and bring them to the right side with the little arrows between the two

A way to use certain mods(trucks,trailors,money ,xp) is to activate them offline then purchase them ingame save your progress thereafter you can go online and load that save you've saved offline ...there are multiple tutorials on yt ..check them out.

This depends on the wheel you have. The game usually selects correct axis mode when assigning pedals. If the axis preview shows inverted input, change the axis mode with the list below it. Had to do that on the G Pro Racing Wheel. The game thought it's dealing with G29. The latter gives inverted pedal axes, the former gives non-inverted axes for them.

I had this issue with my old logi brake. Turns out the dust and dirt in the actual mechanism needed cleaning out quite a bit. And I also found out later on the cable on the inside had a pin hole on so every time it would get stuck on I’d need to pull the pedal up cos I couldn’t be bothered to re solder it.

Logi pedals ain’t that good for heavy feet. 😂

They have little sensors on, clean those too.

You should have put your PC as low as possible because the heat goes up and so the best thing for a PC is the cold. So good. Afterwards, it's not that bad, but hey, if you have heat problems, maybe turning down the PC could help.

The problem is i have 2 cats that drop alot of hair so to avoid getting my filter full of dust and hair i put it up there. My temperatures never go above 70° Celcius even under full power so i have no problems i clean my pc twice a month too so everything has perfect airflow

Well, mine's a battery powered (Einhell 18v Battery) mobile one because I also solder sometimes in my car xD I love it cuz it's lightweight and better than my actual 230v solder station lol

For a 12 speed you will need to setup at least 1 button for the range, for a 16 speed you will have to setup 1 button for the range and 1 for the splits

where does it say 800mhz? There are places where it only lists the clock speed as half what it actually is, and that's by design

@frozen meadow never read too much into that test, there's a lot of reasons why it might not perform as expected other than "ram dying", it either works or doesn't work, there's rarely any middle ground

Tuxy, my RAM has had trouble for a while and i just did a test cos why not. But it’s always being used 50% even with hardly anything running including background, it is being very slow and my fps has just gets lower and crashes more.

1. usage is not indicative of a fault, just means that things are being cached
2. measuring the speed of RAM is hard, because even small variations in cpu load can have a big impact on it's appearant performance
3. FPS is rarely related to RAM congestion

try reinstalling first before you start blaming things, most performance issues is related to bad configuration or junk

If you want to know if your ram is bad, give memtest86+ a try, it will test the ram for their actual fault modes

there's 4 monitors in the £300 area that I can find with 5 seconds research: Asus VE228TR, AOC E2460PQ, AOC G2460PG and Dell P2418HT

all of them are 1080p

first 4k I can find is over twice the budget; AOC Agon AG271UG

@frozen meadow Freesync is adaptive vertical syncronization, ie. the refresh rate of the monitor changes with the framerate of the game. Just because you can select a higher than 60hz rate doesn't mean freesync works 😉
