I'd say you should run a stress test like Aida64 to see if that crashes your computer in the same way it does when you work or game on it @sand valley

in any case, you should probably either change the thermal paste and make sure the cooler is properly installed, or just upgrade it

the PSU in your new pc is probably not modular, but if it is then don't reuse the cables with the other PSU, sometimes the pinouts are different

1x 24 pins for the motherboard, 1x 8 pin for the CPU, SATA power cables for the discs if you have some SATA disks, depending on the GPU there is usually 1 or 2 8 pin cables for it

the 24 pin is unique, and the SATA power cables have a specific shape as well

I can't get ets2 to work in VR So I bought a meta quest 3 a few months ago and it occurred to me to use it with ets2, so I already know that it's not totally compatible and in fact I have to install a beta version for VR, and I did. I connected the headset with the meta app, opened steamvr, and launched the game with something similar to "DirectX11", I don't remember the name now, but it opens on the PC screen and not in VR. Depends what your budget is. Most people start off with a T150 and g29/920 which start off around £150-£200.

Well then it depends on what features you want. If your budget is really flexible you would ideally go for a direct drive wheel, especially ones from fanatec but you're looking around 500-600 for the entire set.

G923 is the biggest mistake i ever made. Software is decent, but it has constant connection problems. Its louder than a 6 Liter V8 and often rumbles on straights. It has problems with the Shifter when detecting what gear you are in, build quality isnt bad but isnt the best for the fact with how much you pay. Its gear driven so its very rumbly. If you really want a g923 or g920 take the g923 as you have more buttons on it

Generally a overpriced piece of plastic. If its in your budget go for the T300RS or even save just a bit more money and get a Moza R3 / R5

Ok so its mostly difference in materials, 248 has a less premium feel and has weaker ffb, also the wheel isnt changable unlike the t300rs. But it does offer a screen so thats a plus

So late last night, my new Shift knob arrived via Amazon. When going into ATS to try to configure my in game settings, I was very very sadly met with disappointment due to the fact that I did not have the ability to set up my splitter or my range on my new shifter.

Well now me entire game is just like completely gone haywire, I can't even play it. I literally have tried to change out so many settings. I've even unplugged my USB from the shifter, and absolutely NOTHING is changing. I cannot turn my engine off. I cannot get the truck to come out of reverse. I've changed it to Automatic with just simple gear shifting button's either on my keyboard or on my wheel... And it's all just completely bugged. I have NO idea what's going on, how to fix it. I'm so upset & angry right now.

No it does not... And that's my issue. I don't understand why it doesn't

Because I can see that when I plug in the USB, it lights up Blue on the inside, but I cannot seem to get the thing to get located, and as far as drivers go. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea of where to find them

I need some real one on one help if anyone has the time to give me some, I also have a button box that I need some troubleshooting with. I could REALLY use someone's help. If they have the time, I beg of you please. I can share my screen's or you can even take over my PC and run through my programs myself & search it out and see if you can't find out what the issue is... Please anyone. Thank you so much.

Hi @spare anvil I am not an expert in this but I have 2 suggestions:

1. Disable steam input in your ATS controller preference. And back to game to see if it's recognized.
2. If any suggestions from people here or anywhere on google doesn't work. You may install "joytokey" and bind to keyboard key.

If my research is correct at least in Germany (even in Spain) thats the normal price nowadays.
In other words the -71% deal is mostly from the original price (which is still lower than the 545€ tho. Original MSRP for that processor was $449 (450€-500€))

If you still have an AM4 board and want to update i would suggest it unless you want to invest into an AM5 board.
Since that CPU is the last one for the AM4 platform.
But its still solid and you can play modern games with potential high graphics (depending on your GPU)

Well changing from intel to amd to that cpu in my view wouldnt make any sense regardless.
Its not really future proofing it. I mean its literally the last AM4 CPU. If you want to change choose a cpu for the AM5 platform to at least futureproof it a bit better. Or just stay on the LGA1700 platform (your currently at) whic his the curresnt last platform by Intel and even supports up to the 14th gen But yeah we all know the bugs from intel today.

after some long time playing this game whit a controller i decided i want a nice wheel setup,
wheel,petals,shifter and so on maybe mounted to a chair.
but i have 0 experience when it comes to this type of heartwear.
so i ask for some recommendations.
it dont need to be the cheapest stuff since im earn quite well and dont mind spend a bit of money for good quality,
on the other side i dont want to spend thousends of euros on this.

If you want a Direct Drive system (DD), your best bet for one realistically, is something along the lines of the Moza R3 or R5 bundles - they both come relatively cheaply (for what they are), and you can get the TSW wheel, which the same size as an irl steering wheel.

You can also get a clutch pedal (add-on) and a decent (I think it's 7 speed plus reverse) shifter with it.

If you want a gear & belt system, something like the G923, T248, Hori etc will work good too (these are more on the budget end ofc)

Hey all. I'm looking at getting a wheel and pedal set for ETS2 mainly (might get into other driving games but not sure about racing) as I currently use a xbox one controller. I was looking at these 3 options: G29, G923 and T248. All these wheels are at a kinda similar price for me, however it's really difficult to decide which one to get. Like the Logitech ones look nicer and seem to have more buttons but then heard T248 is better for driving. It doesn't help that like all reviews I find are for sim racing so people start talking about like the gear vs belt driving systems etc. What would you guys recommend?

Oh another worry is I heard Logitech wheels are very loud but I only heard people say that when it comes to sim racing so not sure how loud it is with ETS2

I also looked at moza but not sure if I want to pay hundreds of pounds as a beginner

I have one personally and its a decent wheel but if it was me now id rather save for a moza r3 or r5 bundle

like when driving at night i never use main beam lights when other drivers pass as i just don't have enough buttons to map it on my controller

Firat of all its an video_tdr_failure bsod pointing that the gpu doesnt respond anymore
Secondly too prove it more the process causing the crash is the nvlddmkm.sys process eg the Nvidia driver
On every crash its the same error so there could be multiple issues still

That card has a dual BIOS then, I'd suggest it's something you try switching and seeing if your issue goes away.

Uh huh, it's usually performance and silent mode, normally the difference isnt huge and you can make up for any loss in performance using readily available software.

But could try again after testing if my plug could be the issue causer. since from when i started monitoring my pc via my smart plug i noticed over an other software to monitor my pc stats that it restarted/crashed daily after i started to use it

So i guess if the pc crashes in the next 1-3 hours and the dump shows the same error then guess i could test the silent option

Well tried resetting my GPU driver now (Fresh reinstallation of it)
Though found an now deeper issue which might result in me needing to reinstall windows.
Couldnt open the device manager in Safe mode and immediatly had an BSOD after the first restart after the uninstallation of the driver

Update for you.
It was apparently an faulty driver in general.
Havent had any BSOD yet.
So the uninstallation of the driver via DDU and reinstallation in safe mode has fixed it probably. Will monitor over the next couple days tho.
Still cleaning my pc tho tomorrow just to be extra sure
