im swapping the 450kw electric motor from scania to daf
and its limiting the first gear to be 29kmh while it can be 34kmh etc, same goes for other gears
due to the daf having a 2500rpm limit or whatever

also its shifting so damn slow

I’m working on a university team project to create a truck simulator, and it’s shaping up to be a pretty massive setup. We’ve got a motion platform, a steering wheel, a gearbox, and even a truck hull that’s going to be mounted on the platform. My task is to integrate all of this and add some extra features.

~~One of the challenges I’m tackling is figuring out how to display in-game mirrors on two external screens. Has anyone done something like this or knows where to start? ~~

I’m also planning to disable the cockpit rendering in the game and adjust the in-game camera position to the center, between the driver’s and passenger’s seats. This way, the visuals won’t be limited to the driver’s perspective, which makes more sense since we’ll have a physical truck structure as part of the setup.

Currently, my plan is to set all the displays as a video wall and run the game across all of them at once. From what I’ve found so far, it should be possible to move the in-game mirrors’ positions freely while keeping their images intact. If I’m correct, I could position both mirrors on the far left of the screen, and the video wall would display their views on two separate tablets, potentially eliminating the need for capturing and cropping the mirror views.

got any advice or suggestions? especially on these points:

-the best mod that will add a virtual camera. Ideally, it should allow me to position the camera anywhere inside the hull for a rearview mirror feed which will be displyed in the simulator as a rearview mirror.

-the way to accurately position the camera between the driver’s and passenger’s seats at a defined angle?
-Are there any FOV-related issues I should keep in mind for this kind of setup?
Finally, I’m wondering if there are any other potential problems I should anticipate, either technically or in terms of integration. If anyone has experience with something similar or ideas to share, I’d appreciate your input.

Green colour is irrelevant. Many mods are unsupported by the game when it gets a big update, unless they are updated as well so that they can run on the newest game version.
All you can do till then is find the mod(s) causing the game to crash and disable it

If you have save edits, when they update to 1.53 it changed something with the painted parts codes. If you update it you won’t be able to backdate unless you remove all painted parts from said modded trucks

If not, you should be able to just roll it back and play locally fine mate

Just make sure it’s the 1.52 temp version and not oculus

What the guy said originally though is still the case, there is a high chance of file corruption trying to access 1.52, but, as soon as you update it again to 1.53 that file should work fine - I had to wait 5 days to gain access to my corrupted save

hi winter physics mod is not working for me, the others do but this one doesnt. Can someone help? I tested it in single player and it does work

i made a "mod" folder in the ETS2MP file and put my mods in there,the snowy tires and winter map works,the physics dont.

to create jobs in TMP you need to save edit them. since the dispatcher from TMP doesnt work with them
